Hi enjoyed your video's I have seen ,still thinking about a kit . I also live in South Carolina Spartanburg where the old 85 and the newer 85 meets. Where about in SC if I may ask. I took my discovery flight in Rutherfordton NC at KFQD in early 2023. Oh question Van RV vers SLING kits? Thanks Lester

Thanks for watching. I actually moved up to the Charlotte, NC area for work recently. I think the current situation with Vans definitely needs to play itself out before I would consider them for a kit. The Sling will build much, much faster if you are building it yourself. The Sling is just a very different aircraft, smaller and more efficient versus old school aircraft.

When you were talking about the nut/washer…. Was it the ones than are packaged with the tube? If so, not all of them require the nut/washer on the valve stem. Recently installed a new tire/tube on my Baron’s nose. It has the bent style valve stem. The A&P showed me how it went together and the nut/washer was not installed.

This one came with the tube. In talking with Sling Technical, I guess it’s not needed but won’t hurt to install it.
