When I was a little girl of 8 years old, I used to go to the matches with my grandparents, we would also watch it on Wednesday nights. Even into the late 70's if you threw an opponent over the top rope and out of the ring you were disqualified, the ring was also called the squared circle. Mr. McMahon Sr made the men wear protective cups and the women had to have extra padding in the bra part of their outfits to avoid serious injuries.

In Sid's defense, he didn't want to do his jumping big boot either. Creative thought he needed an aerial move, and it was something he wasn't trained for. I'm a nurse and have seen some serious stuff, but his leg snapping still makes me wince.
Kevin Nash breaks quads twice every week so there could have been a separate dedicated video for him quoting every incident and Sid's injury was more gruesome than funny
