The callback to the Shawn Michaels Sweet Chin Music is really cool because of how Shelton blocked the kick this time around instead of being hit by it. Also, Dom paying homage to Eddie from the heel turn down to the classic mullet is awesome.

The Rock vs Cena finish at WM28 was actually taken from the finish of the main event at King of the ring 2000

There's one wrestling spot and one wrestling finish I wish would be recredited. The spot is Charlotte Flair putting someone in the figure eight during a triple threat match and the other competitor pins them while Charlotte has the submission locked in. That's a callback to Payback 2013 when Curtis Axel won the IC Champion by pinning Wade Barrett while The Miz had the latter in a figure four. The finish I want to see repeated is Roman Reigns winning an I Quit Match after beating his opponent up with a steel chair and knocking them out. Then you can reveal on SmackDown that person never said I Quit during the match but in a promo. A callback to The Rock defeating Mankind at the 1999 Royal Rumble which would fit perfectly with The Tribal Chief's gimmick.

Recreated spots are terrible and only serve to remind everyone how good wrestling used to be and how bad it is now. Plus it adds to the hokiness. It shouldn't be allowed.

The art of pro wrestling (though almost completely dead these days) is to make it seem as much like a real match between two angry people as possible. The obvious cooperation and "tributes" are the direct reason that the pro wrestling audience is so small at present.
