    Did you consider the DynoMax Ultra Flo cat back exhaust system? I'm torn between these two

      @CBlasser  Год назад +1

      I have since tried mufflers from Dynomax, Jones, Aero, Black Widow, Vibrant, Magnaflow, Borla, and a few others. The MBRP sounded better and was louder than the Dynomax, but the UltraFlo had almost no drone compared to the MBRP. I've since switched to longtube headers and Borla ATAK and that combination is as close to perfect as I can get.

    Hi there..
    How did your tune turn up? Any 0-60 times of before and after the tune? Did it really woke the car up? The gas milage got any improvment on city drive?
    Thanks in advance.

      The FRP tune made a huge difference! I didn't do a 0-60 before the tune but I would confidently say it was close to 7 seconds. After the tune it was 5.34 seconds as measured by a timer plugged into the OBDII port. Gas mileage was 21 mpg highway, 14 city. However, I have since made a few more changes to the Jeep along with another FRP tune, and it's a completely different beast now. I was just taking it easy in this video:

      @@CBlasser just a canned tune from FRP gave you that kind of fuel mileage?

    I have an 06 overland completely stock no mods (stock exhaust) and for some reason when I punch it I hear a supercharger whine.

      Could be the air intake.

    How’s the internal cabin drone with this setup?

    • @CBlasser

      It wasn't bad! I took my grandmother for a 6 hour roadtrip and she didn't mind at all. However, I have since replaced it with the Corsa system. I will upload a new video once I get my longtube headers installed 👍

      Chase Blasser I was about to ask if drone was bad. Also when are you posting the corsa video ? Cuz I have a 2007 Jeep GC overland with the 5.7 hemi. I want an exhaust that doesn’t drone

    Would you recommend a full 3 inch straight pipe

    • @CBlasser
      @CBlasser  4 года назад +3

      I wouldn't personally recommend that. I actually switched to Corsa after this video, which is a 2 3/4 system. Jeep seems to like the smaller pipe.

      Chase Blasser I’m trying to figure out an exhaust for my 08 grand Cherokee 5.7 and I was going to go with a car back but it doesn’t seem loud enough and someone recommended long tube headers but I was still unsure

    I have the same model and engine and yet the exhaust leaks a bit and air sounds like it’s escaping when you get on it. Please help, I just got the thing and it sounds great other wise.

    • @CBlasser

      The exhaust manifold studs on these things are notorious for breaking, causing a leak. If it's not that then my suggestion would be to crawl underneath the vehicle and look at your exhaust system. If there's black soot around any joint that's bolted or clamped together, there's your leak.

    • @josharuni547
      @josharuni547 4 года назад

      Chase Blasser I’ll take a look I hope it’s not the studs are they expensive ?

    • @CBlasser
      @CBlasser  4 года назад +1

      @@josharuni547 Unfortunately the labor to fix them is pretty expensive. They're very hard to get to so most shops will charge $600-900 to change them all. The best thing to do in that case would be to have every stud replaced with ARP bolts. You won't likely be able to see if they're broken but a mechanic will be able to tell you just by listening to it.

      Chase Blasser eesh that’s not good news. We’ll see maybe it’s a bolt who knows.
