When I worked in Tokyo 12 years ago, we had a simple rule, no one comes to work after the boss, no one left work before the boss. Guess what? He usually comes in at 9 AM, leaves at 2 AM . I've fuckn slept at a 24 hr McDonalds outside Kokubunji train station more times than I wanted, waiting for the station to open at 5 am, so i can go home, take a shower, nap, and rush back before he gets to work. Monday to Saturday :/

That sucks man... and seems to be the same story I see/hear from a lot of people who have worked in Japan. As much as I love Japan and as much I'd love to visit and spend time there, working there just sounds like a nightmare from everything I've seen and heard.

Re3 is a even more confusing name for it, I hate it because Code Veronica is the true third Resident Evil and it fell into obscurity because of the subtitle.
@@LD1E60 It's misleading, that's why they wanted to call it 1.9. It's not a sequel to RE2 in anything BUT name. If sony weren't cunts about naming I'm positive Code Veronica would have been RE3 straight up.
@@666slateran666 I always sanded on position that it should be released as expansion of RE2Re (third episode), what it actually always was. Then they should release Resident Evil 3: Code Veronica Remake. Though at least I hope that they expand it with Carlos Oliveira as second character, what for example would allow them to introduce stuff related to Sergei Vladimir
during events in Recon City (from Umbrella Chronicles), which were actually quite interesting. But that is just my.
@@TheRezro Now that's a constructive response! They are expanding the third one lore wise but as you said it's going to feel like an expansion in terms of story and game length. Sadly someone else in the comments confirmed that they won't be doing a Code Veronica remake as they rereleased it in HD. It didn't make as much money for Capcom back in the day like RE3 did. Nemesis is the only notable thing to come out of RE3 IMO. That and mercenaries mode.

Different times, they actually added content to make the 1999 original worth a day 1 buy.
Modern gaming in 2020, less content and bolt on a multiplayer game that likely has baloney greed stuff. Awesome.
100% convinced RE1 Remake 2002 team and Shinji Mikami would've likely done a more faithful remake of RE2 and RE3.
I felt that same tension throughout the video yet they hit a homerun, I’m happy for them!
Genome Soldat I like the direction they took the modern iteration’s gameplay. It’s the REmake story line and settings that I take issue with more than anything. Hopefully R3make doesn’t stray too far off the path of the OG’s. I see they already changed up the industrial look of the Dead Factory like they did with the Underground Lab in 2. It really takes away from the horror atmosphere.

it honestly felt like dlc for RE2 instead of a full game and i was pissed when i was done after paying that much for such a short game... it felt rushed and the boss duplicate battle and cutscene quick times sucked ass
The remake was okay. The entirety of the game is shorter than the original and the previous remake.
There is content that is completely cut from the game and even than the extra content is lacking completely with the store being the only “new” feature. I’m hope there is post launch content because 60$ doesn’t seem worth it.
Resident evil 3 is one of my dad's favorite games. It's crazy how time flies and now re 3 remake is here
That game's atmosphere is unmatched. Probably the most dire, desperate, yet still fun and rewarding game out there. Lot of that was on the graphics, music, and tight gameplay. It's also a game you can finish in under three hours and play again and again. Your dad has great taste!

I’ve played and never finished this game because I was 9 and Nemesis scared the hell out of me.
I was around 8 when I played RE2 the first time. I had my first and only night terror and could only handle playing the opening cutscene over and over until I had to take it back to the movie gallery.

A small compact area surrounded by nothing but water that is full of a bunch of people, many of which might be older/weak when it comes to their immune systems'. Sounds like a paradise to a virus.
What they did in the original, was the opposite of the Remake, despite its low budget and time constraint, they were able to add length and have Mercenaries mode more than what was originally planned
Too bad so much stuff was cut from REmake3, it's very good but short lived.
The better move would have been to simple make it $15 DLC for RE2 Remake, but add in a whole bunch of new features like being able to play RE 2 Remake with the controls from RE3, playing as Jill in RE2 or Leon & Clair in RE3, new weapons and modes etc.
But hey I don’t work at Capcom so what do I know?

@@BreadCatMarcus the evil within was good but the story was too confusing and it looked like it tried too hard but it was okay. I preferred the second game more but only for one of the main villain once he was gone it was meh till the final boss which made the story compelling. I just hope when the third game come out that the main villain from the first game is back and explained furthered. But like RE the story can be vague at time which makes it a little hard to follow.

Also, I'd love if it played into his reputation as "Mr. Death" by giving you command over a squad of other faceless mercs whom you're expected and encouraged to send to their certain deaths to complete your objectives.
Capcom also teased the Resident Evil 3 Remake in the Resident Evil 2 Remake Demo. In the demo, if you go outside the front of the Police Station on the side with the closed wooden planks blocking a doorway, if you get close to it, you'll literally hear Nemesis' echoing "S.T.A.R.S!" But again, this Easter Egg can only be found in the demo, not in the actual game sadly.

it's funny how similar the development of this game was for the original and the remake. Both had a year, both to get it out right before a new console generation.

Nemesis is a bit too over-the-top to be scary in the remake. He's always sprinting around screaming "STARS!!!!" at the top of his lungs and you can tell when he'll show up because it's usually a cutscene intro to make it seem more cinematic.

This... literally sounds like what they did with RE3R. Since Dev 1 was busy developing RE2R and RE7 at the time. They outsourced RE3R to make sure it would be ready before next gen consoles.. exactly what happened with RE3. Also cutting out areas, bosses and enemies. Hire another team (though not outsourced)

I'm still shocked by the fact that we're getting RE3R this early. Considering the time Capcom took to remake RE2 (2 generations after the predecessor's reimagination), I thought we would get this game in another generation or two. Nevertheless, I'm still pumped to see how it'll goes.

Did you know? After Capcom released the trailer for the new RE3, a patch was release for RE2 where you can now hear Nemesis saying STARS as when you get inside the Police HQ.
Dont forget the added letter from Jill which basically recites what she said in the original intro of Resident Evil 3.
Shame so much content was removed from the remake, could've been even better than the original. They even nerfed the zombie dismemberment from RE2 last year, so strange they didn't try to fit as much in this time as they did twenty years ago.

@@joshs7372 eh not really. The multiplayer inclusion is just an excuse they're using to justify the lack of content and replayability. Going down from 8 unlockable costumes to just 1, reusing the RPD again almost shamelessly, replacing the factory with another lab, removing the park, brad doesnt even meet Nemesis in this, no grave digger or other enemies. But yeah I guess we got more hospital now, which is visually just like the lab, just a bland white environment imo
@Jacob McMahan you mean how they removed exploration from the clock tower to merely have it for a boss battle with him as a giant licker? Or how they basically made all of his appearances scripted instead of random like the original? An extra form for Nemesis doesn't stack up to the amount of content lost overall.

This is definitely not the Capcom who made RE3 1999 or RE1 Remake 2002, especially the lack of Shinji Mikami given what they reveal in this video.

I know there’s not much info about these games, but it would be cool to see a DYKG: King’s Field. The region locked about old From Software games was cool, but only briefly mentioned King’s Field.

I've played nemesis never beat it and alot of people saying remake is short but it works in my sense for someone who never beat the original

Their comments on Mr. X are interesting because after seeing the reviews that have gone up, the RE2 team seem to have made a better Nemesis-like enemy than the RE3 team did.
I think it’s mainly due to nemesis not being random as mr x nemesis only chases you in certain parts of the story (aka no random encounters) mr x on the other hand appears randomly which is why mr x is better if nemesis had the random encounters like mr x did nemesis would be better
@@spawnshell1 I think he makes up for it by being relentless. Keep in mind Mr.X has exactly one move, punch. He would punch you and calmly wait for you to get back. Nemisis however will combo you, trip you with his tentacles, hit you while you're down and use weapons. Sure he loses the randomness but I think he makes up for it by making you change your tactics. Think of him as Mr.X but with the G boss fights mixed in.

@@HunterForHire422 I feel like people were expecting the Xenomorph from Alien Isolation. An unkillable monster that can literally go anywhere you go and then some. Keep in mind that even Mr.X from the remake and Nemisis from the original had mechanical quarks that could be taken advantage of and would disappear for entire sections of the game.
Actually, with the release of the Dreamcast, Capcom was keen to adopt the new technology for its next numbered resident evil.
Sony upon realising this, and wanting to keep interest in its brand came to an agreement with capcom to keep all main line series releases on their consoles, so the game that was to become resident evil 3, had a name change to Code Veronica and Nemesis was changed to RE3 Nemesis.
RE3 Remake was in development for over 3 years, side by side with RE2 remake.
Difference between the 2 is that RE2 was developed internally, while RE3 was only partially in-house and outsourced to 3 seperate dev teams, namely Redworks, K2 (owned by Capcom) and M-Two (founded by ex Platinum Games ceo), which is why the direction is very different (length, Nemsis etc etc) to what many people were expecting from an RE3 remake.
The multiplayer on RE3 was also supposed to be a separate game altogether, developed by yet another outsourced team called NeoBards Entertainment and was called Project Resistance, but Capcom realising that RE3 would be a very short game (5-7 hours long) needed to justify the price tag of the game and packaged the game with RE3 instead, renaming the game to RE3 : Resistance.
Interestingly one of the outsourced teams (M-Two) that worked on the RE3 remake has now been given a big opportunity to remake another well known Capcom IP the title of which is still unknown, with many speculating it could be Dino Crisis.

Dino crisis was greenlit a few years ago and got canceled during development. Probably not going to be the case.

According to Video Games Chronicle, a website quickly becoming known as an incredibly reliable source of information and leaks, Capcom has a Resident Evil 4 remake in development right now at support studio M-Two. Original director Shinji Mikami has given his blessing to the project which aims to release at some point in 2022, presumably on PlayStation 5.
Mikami was approached to direct the remake, but he turned down the opportunity to focus working on Tango Gameworks' Ghostwire Tokyo. Instead, he has provided "informal advice on its direction." One source told VGC that a newcomer to the series will be directing Resident Evil 4 remake in his place.

It's repeats the same mistakes of the past and make arguably worse decisions.
It's crazy that the game seemed like it rushed the same way as in the original one. It's also criminaly short. And still it has 50/50 thoughts about the game while for exemple "the order 1886" got only negative comments

They got rid of live selection?! That was my favorite part of what made RE3 unique. I like making decisions in the heat of the moment, it added suspense.
If I were in charge of the remake, I would have made the life selection an actual gameplay element where you must make a decision by interacting with the environment or shoot.

I would absolutely love to see the original Terminator film remade into a survival horror game where you play as Reese protecting Sarah and running from the T800. Gotta scavenge for ammo and supplies to build pipe bombs. Ugh it would be perfect!

@@666slateran666 Isolation wasn't good because it was first person, it was good cause of it's atmosphere. It re-started the survival horror drought, when there was nothing but action shooters claiming to be survival horror.
@@matthewdykeman8149 I guess, it basically just turned the Amnesia formula into a not shit game. It is the best videogame version of alien forsure. I'm just saying that they didn't have experience making that mind of game so expecting them to make a Terminator game and it being just as good is a stretch.
I personally love the RE3 remake despite the complaints. It harkens back to how RE3 came out right after RE3 back in the 90s.
I just wish they had been more faithful to the original. Nemesis should have been introduced more suspensfully. The whole beginning area should have been been another area with gameplay rather than a giant cutscene with some running.
And most of all, the clocktower was my favorite part of the original game and it should have featured in the remake.

Resident Evil 3 is one of my favorite RE games. The game is getting a board game on Kickstarter.
My 2 favorite games of all time are a tie between the legend of zelda twilight princess and resident evil 3 so the remake looks awesome but I dont own a playstation 4 or a powerful pc so I sadly cant own it YET

Both games had their flaws. I personally enjoyed RE CV more than RE3 but I think the latter is still great. There is not that many people that liked CV though because of the overall pacing and questionable level design choices and so on.

I was hoping for more with this game...
Wish I knew RE3 REMAKE was a overhyped yearly new release of a game in a series victim. Game has so much cut content and I can only look at it now as a April Fools joke of a follow up from the great Resident Evil 2 Remake.
i feel like that resident evil 2 and 3 remakes are trying to connect to Resident Evil 4. because it doesn't really connect with the original games for the PS1 or the remake of re1 remake at all

I think it will be added later, like they did in RE2 remake, they added 3 scenarios after the fact. It wont be as good as the original though.

It's impressive what the team was able to accomplish in a single year. Despite it being considered a spinoff, I always considered Nemesis to be an appropriate sequel to 2. 1 was the origin of the outbreak. 2 was the first half of Raccoon City's story, and 3 is the second half and finale to it. A perfect, self-contained trilogy.

Hearing about resident evil 3's development makes me wonder what would it be like if they actually had enough time to add everything that they wanted to. I bet the game could have been that much better.

I didn't like that RE3 was more censored than RE2 e.g. zombies biting your leg but Jill doesn't kick their heads off like in RE1 and Claire in RE2.

Ngl a samurai themed resident evil game where you’re cutting down zombies with a katana sound fun as hell. Maybe not a mainline series, but would be a cool spinoff game concept.
