Thank you for this very helpful video. I recently acquired a second-hand cooker oven made by SOL, model # TH630 I. It needed a good cleaning, and so I decided to remove the door, as I've done in the past with other ovens. Unfortunately, I was unfamiliar with its hinge, and only managed to remove one side of the door. I couldn't get the other side out no matter how I tried, and I couldn't get the first side back in -- because, of course, the spring had pulled the hinge into the closed position. First I tried calling the company's local rep, who referred me to a service outlet, who were already closed for the day (This was Thursday evening). Their answering service told they couldn't get anyone here before Monday around noon, and it would cost me about US$ 70 just for the service -- any parts would of course be extra. However, I needed to be able to use the oven on Friday, so that was no good. Then I found the manual online, but it wasn't in English, and anyway it didn't describe the removal and replacement of the door. Then I called a couple of friends in the neighborhood who are handy, but none of them could come over before -- possibly -- Friday. THEN I REMEMBERED RUclips!! I searched for relevant videos, and first viewed this one: ruclips.net/video/EBhJk85mc1Q/видео.html which showed how to use a pipe to get the hinge back into the right position. That was informative, but since the door was still attached to the body of the oven, it was impossible to implement his solution. Luckily, there was a link to your video (this one) on the right, and I discovered that I have a pin-type hinge. Using an Allen key as you suggested, I was able to remove the door and lay it on the floor. I then went to implement the pipe idea from the first video, but the only spare pipe I had in the house was 3" PVC, which snapped when I attempted the demonstrated technique. I resorted to using a small all-steel sledge hammer, but not in the usual manner. Sitting on the floor with the door wedged between the base of the kitchen cabinet and the sole of my foot, I held the hammer horizontally behind the catch of the hinge, and pulled back against the mighty spring. The pin-hole appeared, and a second pair of hands attached to my recently-recruited daughter slipped a second Allen key through it. PRESTO! I finished the cleaning job, successfully re-inserted the door, and am left wondering whether PRIOR to all this activity the door didn't close quite as much as I think it should, which is its present condition (open by perhaps a few millimeters away from snug to the rubber gasket). Thank you again for producing this and all your helpful videos.

I'm seriously hoping that this works! My kids somehow managed to make one hinge come out so the door is currently propped up with a cheese grater (only thing I could find of the right height lol) and we are moving out on the weekend! I've struggled with it for about an hour thinking how "hard could it be, it should just slot in right?!". Nope. The oven is some unknown cheap Chinese brand from 20 years ago with no web presence at all and the hinges aren't the nice easy ones with a locking mechanism. This is the first video I've found showing the pin type of hinge.... Fingers crossed this work
Merci Beaucoup!! Thank you so much!! You made my day. I finally was able to clean the inside of our class oven door!! I am so happy and so grateful!! You rock!

Excellent video and instructions. It made it possible for me to fix my oven door. Thanks a lot.
Fingers crossed this work
Excellent vid, just helped me out when I thought I had buggered up my oven door properly.
Found this video to be very helpful keep up the good work
