    We bought the accord touring 2.0 T for my wife and now we fight over who gets to drive it. It’s one of the best cars we’ve ever had. Comfortable, very quick, excellent handling, massive backseat so my kids are comfortable, it’s like a civic SI for moms and dads

    "...that about rounds out the performance segment..."
    The handling capabilities of the Sport model were not put to the test.
    Anyone considering a sedan, that also wants a very good handling car, should know that Sport model, with its 19" wheels, low profile tires, and beefy suspension, can take turns at speed, and do so faster than most people would ever try -- and the car will hold the road with ease. The Sport model can take a turn a lot faster than it looks. It is not a mid-engine Corvette. But it is very, very good.
    I am not suggesting that anyone drive like a nut. Even a million dollar Ferrari will lose control if pushed too hard. I am pointing out that for the Sport model, you are paying not just for its looks. You are paying for a suspension (especially when put into "Sport" mode) that is designed to hug the turns.
    The 1.5 liter models come with Goodyear tires.
    The 2.0 liter models come with Michelin tires.
    The Michelin tires are better performers. However, most folks will never take a turn fast enough to notice the difference between the two.

    Sounds weird but I tested both the accord and civic and actually preferred the civic. I like the civics exterior and interior styling a lot more, especially on the hatch. I also think the digital dash on the civic looks way better. Only thing the civic is missing is the option for the 2.0 turbo which would have been amazing.

    The Accord LX has THE WORST seats I've ever experienced. An incredibly frustrated LX owner of 1 week here. Get the next model up or get something else entirely. The "lumbar support" presses into the lower back unlike anything else. The seat cushion is minimal and has minimal thigh support. The result is lower back pain, butt discomfort, tingly sensations in the leg and foot. During the test drives I felt happy with the seat, however after sitting in it for more than 15 minutes you start to notice discomfort that turns into actual pain. Now I have to invest in seat covers and cushions for a brand new car. Unreal. Girlfriend is uncomfortable during drives longer than 15 minutes as well. Really great.

    • @sherrikwhiteside6107

      Yeah, that’s definitely a concern of mine, seat comfort. I’ve read similar complaints with the Camry, too. I took an Altima for a test drive, and the seats were great, but I’m scared of Nissan’s CVT. The dealership does offer a lifetime powertrain warranty, but I have a few concerns with the Altima, period.

    Great looking wheels

  • @JF-mq8tp
    @JF-mq8tp 4 года назад

    There are a lot of money makers for Honda on the 2020 Accord. Here are just a couple. 1. Wheels stick out further than the tires so when parking it's easy to damage the wheels on the curb. Wheels are around $250 each. Honda will try to get you to rotate the tires so that in short order all four wheels are damaged.
    2. Front end. The sensor and the inter-cooler are within 6 inches or the car's front and protected by only a couple of pieces of plastic. If you hit anything firmer than a beach ball prepare for a hefty bill. These are just 2 things that make the parts department happy. There are others. These money makers have been around since at least 2018 and obviously Honda is happy with them.

    IMHO...They are still just as ugly and cheap looking in the back. Was hoping they would change that for 2020. Speaking of cheap....get rid of that black plastic on the mirrors🤦🏽‍♂️ Definitely not feeling that awkward looking display in the middle of the he dash. Wheels are just meh for me. Definitely better looking sport wheels on the 16/17 Accords and so for those reasons. I’m out🎤⬇️

    No. They’re boring, they aren’t sports cars and they’re ugly as shit. Absolutely hideous. I’ve owned a 16 Accord and it was the most dull, boring car I’ve ever owned. Overrated. I’ll stick with REAL sports sedans - the Accord is a basic grocery getter.

    More RUclips infomercial hype. I have the 2.0 Accord Sport. But you owe it to consumers to mention the 1.5 liters have severe oil dilution problems. So much so that Honda extended the warranty a year. Otherwise, this is just another commercial for Honda and not a "Review".

    • @goldpony
      @goldpony  4 года назад +1

      During my 1.5hrs I had the car I did not experience any oil dilution issues. It's hard to test that kind of thing with only a short amount of time that we have the car for.

    • @TheMB2333
      @TheMB2333 4 года назад +1

      @@goldpony how about a little research on Honda extending the warranty for exactly that problem. Which is all over the internet. Or do you just get something shiny from Honday and glow about it.

      I review my own experiences with the car. Most reviewers don't touch reliability because we don't have the car long enough unfortunately. I hope you understand where I'm coming from here. Appreciate you stopping by!

      @@goldpony Cmon' man. It's a joy ride commercial and not a consumer review if you don't even make mention of the word on the street on the 1.5T. If Honda is extending the warranty on those engines it's worth a mention. It becomes a Blackberry review with nothing "bad" to say.

      Michael B. You’re tying to be as deceiving as you are claiming the maker of this video to be. He’s testing an Accord which have not had any widespread issues of oil dilution in the engine. Honda extended it for those who have certain Civic and CR-V models. Also, this is something that affects people in much colder climates.

      Oscar Lopez had one since 2018 brand new. Amazing car, but the sound system absolutely ruined the experience for me. Switching it out for aftermarket is a pain in the ass too(which I did and regret) and Honda punishes you for making changes like that. Waiting to trade in for a Tesla or hopefully a refreshed model in the next year or 2.

      No lie. I bought the 18 model over a year ago and wasn’t seeing them that much on the road as they were relatively new. Once I started seeing them a few times I assumed it’s just my bias since I have one too so I notice them more. But I think it’s just that everyone and their mother has one now and it always seems to be the nice Sport trim as well.
