- How to put Greeting CARDS in EPOXY resin!
Today I am going to put Christmas cards I got this year in epoxy resin! I loved the results of my previous video where I put wrapping paper in epoxy so I was inspired to try upcycling this years greeting cards in resin! I’m also going to try laminating the cards to see what it's like. I’ve never tried putting something laminated in resin before so I’m excited to see what kind of results we get and if it’s easier than sealing the paper with mod podge. I will be doing one card with modpodge just in case you don't have a laminator.

P.S I apologize if I sound really stuffy in this video. I recently bought a new plant from IKEA and it seems I'm allergic to it. It's cold here now so I can't put the poor plant out to test if it really is the plant that's making me like this haha. Fingers crossed that next video I'll be better! 🤞

I like to take old Christmas cards and place them in Dollar Tree picture frames. I hang them through out the house during the holiday season.

You can just spray them with a clear coat of sealer too. It's a lot cheaper and its quick. 😊
Thats a great idea! I wonder if sealer has lowered in price since the last time I check. Here in Canada sealers, mold releases are so expensive.

Oh, a your idea about photos is great. A set of family pics in coasters or a tray or an ornament would make a nice gift.

Two ideas for you, use packaging tape for cleaning of silicone mats and molds. Also, place your laminated item on your clear coat when it is done moving, an hour or so. Then add top coat.
I fill the mold up and let cure.. then I adhere my image to the item and do a thin coat…. I also fill the rim, then a thin layer of clear and let cure, then place my image on the thin cured layer and continue to fill remainder
These are adorable. I wonder if you wanted until resin got tacky and then put the cards would that help with air bubbles? Do you have a video on doing a 3D bloom using Let’s Resin epoxy resin? I love the idea that you don’t have to sand and then put a top coat.

I loved these cards trays. Great idea. I was thinking too maybe you could cut out the inside of the card with the name of who sent it to you and put on the backside and use clear so you could enjoy next Christmas. They are so pretty.

No, I don't manage to do Christmas cards, and I always feel guilty. 🤦♀️ We were lucky to get a tree up this year. 🎄 My 37 year old daughter started suddenly moving back into the house over the U.S. Thanksgiving... choas all December. The cards I do receive end up in piles in the house - sometimes in storage. Like you, I feel bad throwing them out. They are so lovely, and occasionally, I get to reread them. I've seen them made into ornaments, which are gorgeous! ❤ I like how you were reusing them! 👏👏 Maybe make things in January to sell next November and December? You could even buy leftover cards at really cheap prices on the week after Christmas if they sell well?
I always go to WalMart, Michaels etc after Christmas to look for cheap cards to send the next year. These trays would be cute to put on a side table as deco. Maybe next year Ill make some Christmas card ornaments…🤔👀

Put a thin layer of clear resin, as you did, down and let it get to a tacky feeling then press down the paper/cards and smooth them out to take the air bubbles out. Great idea. I will be doing this.

White Vinegar & Nail varnish remover
What do you do with the vinegar?
@@JBKonsCreations if i get any resin onto my hands, i spray the white vinegar onto them then rub my hands i also then use hand soap, or dish soap is good too and then wash hands under warm water, i equally spray my mixing containers too :) the nail varnish helps remove unwanted acrylic paint from any detailing i had done to a almost finished project with the use of cotton buds... :) - i am still seeing to how other uses that WV and NV helps with our craft :)
forgot to mention, that this is a BRILLIANT vis :) and its something i am leaning toward doing myself. these are timeless pieces to do :)
Not to be a jerk just an FYI. That is not doming. It is a top coat. Those came out great.
