I saw a couple of quilts I loved, and the memories of you reading Nancy Drew are so special. She was my favorite as a girl, too. ❤️. By the way, I never lived in Vicksburg. Yayy its my sweet friend.. that I've missed so much!😊 I picked up one of the old shaving brushes & the little cup awhile back. I made a little vignette on a small 2 tiered tray with it, a pocket watch that was my FIL's, a very old, small leather case with clippers, a tiny jar with brass buttons from a WWII navy uniform & a couple other pieces. I'm looking for a pair on those really old eyeglasses to go with it! Now you already know my love for old handmade quilts.. so many pretty ones!💕 Those are a little better priced than the one I found when i was ion TN. I'd have taken the $49 one😉 I really loved the one you held up! I haven't had the chance to really get out here, but it won't be long..i hope🤞🏼 I loved the old wood chest the garden book was laying on! Perfect for A coffee table.. which I'm looking for! I have an old chest but its red, i don't eat a red coffee table😄 so i store all my bed linens in it. The little wood table Reith the sections that turned on its legs was pretty cool! Wonder how old it was?! Mmm i saw some gorgeous Victorian art!😮 Ohh i loved the handmade rag dolls! I remember my grandma made me one when i was a little girl, made it out of the tiny blue high gingham material🥹 She had a huge box of quilt scraps & i to got a bunch & cut arm holes for dresses and a strip of the side for a belt, for my rag doll. I'd give anything to still have it🥹 The little drawer was cute with the gingham lining. I love anything old & made of wood.. that table was sweet! Also love collecting oil lamps & that brass one on that table was beautiful!❤ The quilt runner was a really sweet piece! And loved the quilt with crosses, very unique. Loved the chunky bread board & all the wooden bowls!❤ And of course the little rocker😊 That book that had the yarn string just have me a little idea! Using maybe jute string you could make a little book wall! Think I'll try that out😁 If it don't work out then that's Ok too 🤷‍♀️ Lol I would love to collect some of the enamel wear with the red ring. I have one small pot, I'd love to have a bowl & REALLY want a chamber pot with a lid. I remember my old granny had those pieces. Those weren't bad prices! Lots of beautiful bowls! The desk & cane bottom chair was really pretty. Ughhh I need to go there! Sooo many good pieces & the pricing wasn't bad! Lol I'm sure I'd have a hard time making decisions too🥴 Girl I'm telling you.. this Florida weather is miserable! I melt every time i walk out the door🥵 I'm so ready for November! Wow you did good with all the peaches! I had a fresh peach this morning we got from a fruit stand over the weekend. Girl I understand! When we were in NC & my son left for TN, it was awful! Every time we visited i cried all the way home! Then we moved to TN & a year later he moved to FL! I went with him for awhile to help him, he'd never been on his own. Now here we are in FL too! Loll😂 His wife will probably never leave FL.. If she would, we'd be right back in TN!! I miss it terribly😢 I really like the chair mats.. My grandma on dads side, had those on her kitchen chairs! I want the rug too! Wow what a gorgeous estate!😮 I plan to pick up some old cook books when i find some..i don't have any yet. I remember reading some Nancy Drew books when I was younger.. Junior high school years. I really enjoyed shopping along with you today, its been awhile! I'm still hoping one day we'll get to meet up one day! I pray many blessings over you & send lots love & hugs your way!🙏🏻❤🫂

@@Melissa.Ringstaff yeah is so hot the kids here don't get out until late evening, then only got maybe an hour to ride their bikes or scooters down the sidewalks. Then they come in with wet hair from sweating.. its horrible🫤 I'll be so glad when we can get it & do things without suffocating or melting🥵 There's so much to do with the kids but not until these temps drop! Well bless your heart..2 weddings back to back! Stressful🤪😄 With my husband on this new job i don't know when we'll get to go back to visit🫤 But if you ever get down towards Tampa..be ready to shop til you drop! Girl there's Sooo many thrift stores is unbelievable!😳 There's 10 within 5mi of my house, 11 more 10min up the road.. and its like that in all these little town around Tampa.. not including in Tampa! And not including antique stores & antique malls! Its honestly overwhelming😄 I'm planning to hit a few places soon, just kind if trying to get other things taken care of first. Having the 2 kids has been tough, something we weren't expecting or prepared for. But I just keep praying for Gods strength, cause no way could i do it without him! They've got to be "reprogrammed" so to speak😬 Honey I got my hands full! But the oldest starts school soon as we get his shot records changed from TN to FL.. Pray it won't take long🙏🏻 He needs it, and it'll help me, cause the 3yr old is a teeny tiny atomic bomb😂 bless her rotten little heart! Just be praying for their mom, my daughter, for the babies & for me! I know you going to enjoy those weddings! Congrats to both couples!

You have great restraint! Love the chair pads I need some but my kitchen chairs are small Windsorso so it's hard to find pads that work. Lucky you! I also have the maple syrup tin. I display mine with my fall dishes. I couldn't have passed up the little maple desk for $55. I think it said $55. I would have carried it home on my back! The prices you showed were very reasonable. You never see prices like that in northern Ohio. And who doesn't love Nancy Drew. The Garden book was great. I'm unable to garden much anymore. My husband and I both love our perennial flower beds. Thankfully I don't have much after 40+ years but weeding. My annuals this year have been decimated by bugs. We need a hard cold winter. Peaches are my favorite. Yours looked amazing. Wish I knew how to can!

Your garden sounds wonderful. Mine need so much help. It used to be so pretty but life happened 😜 I have a lot of perennials in the spring. I need more year round flowers and more details in my beds. We also have a scourge of poison ivy and I’m so allergic to it it makes it hard for me to work in some places. It’s really bad.

@@Melissa.Ringstaff All I have to do is be in the vicinity of poison ivy. My husband could eat it and not have a reaction. I found after I'd had it 3 times in a few months, knowing there was no poison ivy, that the poison ivy residue oil was in the MULCH! It was free from the county. And of course I hate wearing gloves which doesn't help. We now have mulch delivered from a nursery and have no problems. That took some time to figure out since I'm well aware of what it looks like. I hope you're able to eradicate it.

Quilts can be so expensive!! I get excited when I find a good deal! Old church cookbooks are just so good. I have so many vintage cookbooks I love.
A couple years ago as my kids got older and my youngest child moved to college I found myself with more time and no one to travel with (my husband doesn’t usually want to go or he’s working) so I just decided to be brave. It was so hard at first to travel alone. I felt vulnerable and anxious but it’s gotten easier! I’m more confident now. It just takes practice (if it’s something one wants to do).
Did y’all get rain this week? I hope so!

@@Melissa.Ringstaff How kind of you to respond. We did get rain , but too late for our garden . I went out this evening, right before dark and pulled up all of our plants in the garden. We really enjoyed the tomatoes this year .
Melissa, I do wish I liked driving better. First of all my dad scared my sister and me about driving on busy roads and we call a freeway..not really an interstate. He would scare us about driving it. Then when I was seventeen a friend and I got hit by a drunk driver and she had a broken pinkie and I had a rather large skull fracture above my left ear. I was in the hospital a week. My husband and I were hit head on by a very drunk and high on cocaine young guy when we were younger. My husband was not hurt, but I tore all the tendons or ligaments where the chest plate is ( if I do too much there is a hernia that pops out still, and hurts ) and I had nerve damage in my elbows and wrists…two surgeries there. So, sure that has not helped my dislike of driving.. When I had the skull fracture I heard the nurse say “ Oh my gosh …look at that skull fracture.” I was delirious and laughed and laughed. My dad was a big heck of a man, but when the hospital called him he cried. I was fine, but was told to eat jello with gelatin to heal. I remember my work called and told my mom said she is in the hospital with a skull fracture. They said we don’t care where she is , we need her to come back to work. As soon as summer came I quit that job with the lovely employers🤣. Anyhow, I don’t know if I will ever feel comfortable driving long distances. Luckily, my husband loves going to estate sales as long as there are plenty of manly stuff, especially tools. He also looks for useful household items like lightbulbs, cleaning stuff etc. We both like old stuff.
I think your hair looks gorgeous. It is so thick. My hair has been cut by my hairstylist shorter than I
like sometimes, but since I am married to him, I usually forgive him and it grows fast. We both are stylists…I think I told you that, but now he cuts grass on a seventy five acre farm and he has not been working because the grass is dead. Hopefully, we will get more rain. Take care my adventuresome friend. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I just love your channel. I liked the quilt with a lot of burgundy squares on it. I thrift every week at a small place called the Mission Center in our Town. All books and puzzles are free, therefore I have been able to add to my cook book collection. And they also have a free table, which I have found a couple things on it. I also thrifted a baby quilt this past week - I am 76 years old. But it was handmade and every other square was embroidered.and I fell in love with it. So, I bought it for $2.00 and have used it on the back of a rocker. I guess when I get "old" I can use it as a lap quilt. Haha
