My brother used to drive like this in his little sports car. It was a nightmare asking him to take you anywhere, I’d just hoped I’d die fast enough in the accident. He finally did get in a horrible accident, his car went under a truck and shattered his knee cap and broken his femur. He was super lucky to still be alive.
He went UNDER the truck?? So he was going so fast he broke through the underride guard?? It’s a miracle he wasn’t decapitated…super surprised his legs seemed to get the brunt, that’s an odd angle. Glad he’s alive though. Rather never walk the same again but be alive rather than die in an accident. Sad that it takes something like that for so many of these kinds of speed junkies. I remember a horrifying case where a young couple (27 m, 20 f) were pulled over for going 40 above, and this wasn’t on a highway or anything, this was close to a gas station on a little truck stop town. The girl was terrified and apologizing to the officer and saying it was her fault bc she wanted to get home soon (officer didn’t buy it, rightly so bc she wasn’t the driver) and the officer felt bad for the, so he gave them a warning and a 300$ fine. Less than 30 mins later he was called to the scene of a brutal accident where a car going 120 mph had gone under a semi-truck, and literally sheared off the entire top half of the car, decapitating both passengers. He found out it was the couple he pulled over. Even after getting a fine and literally being warned that they could die if he kept driving like that, the man went 80 over the speed limit, worse then he was before. Rly sad man. Only good thing was the semi truck driver, despite being thrown into the tunnel wall (they were in a tunnel overpass, otherwise the truck would have likely rolled) was ok despite some shock and whiplash.
Ik people make the argument of "It gives them attention" but I'd still argue it helps to be able to be aware pieces of shit like Neon without, again, directly supporting him in any way.
