The Rooftop has yummy tacos too & Spirits! The Lab has great food & also The Communial-GREAT COFFEE AND HEALTHY YUMM BREAKFAST! So many more great restaurants in Oceanside.
Oceanside is where I live! Thanks for stopping by and doing such a great job featuring all the new spots. Oceanside has grown soooo much in just these last 3 years.
Moved to Oside in 95' . Still in the city working for Magnaflow. Love my city but we had some rough times back in the day before all these hotels. Beautiful then, beautiful now.
We love eating at Panca Peruvian, Panels is a fun coffee shop with comic books, Kona Hut has a chill vibe, and the whole area of Oceanside Harbor Village is fun to play a local tourist with ice cream shops, tourist shops and Joe's Crab Shack. Angelo's Burgers near the Buena Vista Lagoon is a scenic, casual place to catch a meal. Thank you for mentioning Revolution Roasters. They regularly donate to a charity called Fill a Belly that makes a weekly meal for the homeless. They are great people who deserve a lot of support for giving back to the community!
Ya know when I lived in Oceanside I lived only 2 blocks from the beach! It was so awesome. Also when I lived there they still had swings right on the beach! Man I really miss that!!!!!
Some food spots to hit would definitely be : Pit stop diner (50s style diner) Killer pizza from Mars ( outer space arcade pizzeria) Craft coast ( brewery / taco spot recommend their birria ) Teri cafe ( affordable place great selection and large portion ) Rookies sports bar ( great for games) Black plague ( brewery) Belching beaver (tap house )oceanside location Mariscos Ensenada ( great seafood ) Enzos bbq ( bbq spot ) San luis mexican food ( best spot in North county )
As a 50-year San Diego county resident I think Imperial Beach is the most authentic Southern California Beach town the southernmost Beach town on the West Coast. Not overdeveloped like Oceanside yet.
This was my home prior to moving to Vegas - Oceanside is VERY SPECIAL!! Other hidden gems are all the dance studios and Mira Costa Community College, which has great community events and performances. Great mixture of cultures as well.
Awesome video! I reside in oceansise, great video for you to cover is sunset market on Thursdays ,by the area you filmed, but its filled with food vendors and different vendors like a small Del mar fair but of oceanside.
Excellent video. Loved seeing some South Oceanside as well. Next time hit up the Plot for awesome vegan food and South O Brewery for some amazing beers!
The drive in was still there and toll bridge back when I was a kid. I also knew people that were family with junior I met him once. Nicest guy. Was all about family and peace. He was oceanside back then. A true legend
Great Videos. I discovered you in Vegas with Norma. We are heading to Carlsbad, CA and we stay at Beach Terrace Inn. Do you have a video for the Seabird Inn in Oceanside? Keep up the great videos
Bookmark a place called Switchboard, it’s relatively unknown but the breakfast and drinks were insane. Oceanside is getting built up but with it is coming a lot of great spots, clean food and nightlife, I’m excited! Love living here.
O'side spots to check out, from another local. Breakfast: 101 Cafe on Coast Hwy is car themed diner. I get the "pile up" because it reminds of Waffle House along the East Coast where I'm originally from. Start Fresh on Coast Hwy, O'Side Bakery on Mission and El Camino Coffee Banana Dang def top choice, you'll thank me later. Pier View by the Pier and the Cup on Wisconsin are two other favorites. There's also Camp Coffee by the Pier which is new and starting to grow on me, I usually get the tribute. Restaurants: Felix's BBQ with Soul is a southern style BBQ spot, I believe the owner is originally from Mississippi. Barria Al Padrino on Mission. Best Pizza and Brew. LTH and Masters, I went to LTH and had the best chicken pot pie of my entire life. Harbor Fish and Chips is good. Other spots: Prince of Peace Abbey and Benedictine Monastery, I don't know if it's generally open to the public but I have been there. It's hidden but beautiful and offers some really nice views of the "valley". MLK Park on Friday's, I think there's a roller skate night that started just after the "great quarantine". Sunset Market any Thursday, you'll see how "eclectic" O'side really is. Buddy Tod park, another spot with nice views of the "valley". Things to do: Lots of golf spots. Water sports, there's O'side water adventures (I think) at the harbor. You can do whale watching tours and boat rentals. Makes for a nice, less crowded and sometimes cheaper alternative to going down to San Diego City. There's "Go Jump" at the municipal airport which does sky diving and I think there's helicopter tours there to. But all in all, O'side is awesome. Yeah it's changing and I still have mixed emotions but I love it.
You should cover Living Tea Co.! It’s a kombucha tap house focused on healthy living and an all vegan kitchen. Kombucha has been an up an coming style of beverage recently and Living Tea, in my opinion, is paving the way for what that style of drink can do in Oceanside and really shows the potential of what it can become!!
🌺🌸🌷Look how the ( Association ) makes it seem so beautiful after many have died, already no matter the reasons, could it be that after the that line-should NOT BE CROSSED SWIMMING AFTER THE PIER!!!! 🌙🌺🌷🌸🌸
You need go deep valley real Mexican and Filipino food. Hit up the pier. When I grew up there coast highway biggest draw was the purple church. All my oside guys know what that is
Hanging out around the entrance areas to the beach south of the pier past midnight will yield the funniest stoner adventures with the most random people ever
Born and raised in Oceanside. Sorry to say don’t like the over development in downtown. They are squeezing out the locals. Don’t mind the food places but all the hotels. Buccaneer beach is our hidden gem.
My Dad built that park in the 1970's he was a parks worker back in the day. Be advised Oceanside has cleaned itself up over the years, all those places you walked around 30 years ago would be full of drugs and hookers.
Too crowded parking is a nightmare. Lots of homeless people in the parks and sleeping in the bushes by the beach. Getting through a stop sign on pacific street can take 20 minutes. Awful.
How is O-Side the most authentic beach town in SD? Is it the obnoxious biker gangs constantly and loudly cruising up and down the strip ruining outdoor dining that makes it authentic? If you want to stay in suburban north county, Encinitas and Solana Beach are far superior. Both have better beaches, shops, and food. If you're young, head down to PB, MB, or OB. That's where the real SD beach scenes are!
Ocean side is not considered San Diego in my eyes..Ocean side is wack! You should have just went to Mission Beach or Ocean Beach or Pacific beach also LA jolla. That’s San Diego! …Ocean side is ocean side and not San Diego in reality!
I liked Oside pier area before they built up all the condos, hotels, eateries and shops . It was a lot more relaxing and genuine back then.
Back in the from the 80’s and 90’s growing up was the greatest for me. Then I was forced to move
I live right downtown Oceanside awesome seeing someone else cool point of view!
Nice! Whats your favorite spot?
Nice video Bruno Mars. Lol! Oceanside is such a cool place to chill.
The Rooftop has yummy tacos too & Spirits! The Lab has great food & also The Communial-GREAT COFFEE AND HEALTHY YUMM BREAKFAST! So many more great restaurants in Oceanside.

The drive in was still there and toll bridge back when I was a kid. I also knew people that were family with junior I met him once. Nicest guy. Was all about family and peace. He was oceanside back then. A true legend
Very nice!, especially since we will be staying nearby there when visiting!
Carlsbad and San Marcos next!! :)
San Marcos is on the list! Carlsbad is on my channel!
San Marcos Wooop woohoo! Remember when it was the 619 area code ? Man , how time flies...
I live in Oceanside. Buccaneers is a great place for breakfast especially the avocado toast
We stayed at the Mission Pacific Hotel a couple of weeks ago. Beautiful view and great room and amenities.
Would love to stay there sometime! Looks nice!
Awesome video Jay and nice to see you had a friend tag along. Now I'm craving some beers 🍻
Awesome video, I live in Oside and don't do all that stuff. 👍👍👍🍻

Great Videos. I discovered you in Vegas with Norma. We are heading to Carlsbad, CA and we stay at Beach Terrace Inn. Do you have a video for the Seabird Inn in Oceanside? Keep up the great videos
Happy Sunday Jaycation and have a great day.
Hey Jaycation can't wait to go to San Diego the city is beautiful. Just like said stay traveling.
I have enjoyed both your Escondido and Oceanside videos. Hopefully you will have some new videos that feature East County.
I lived in Oceanside for years but haven't been there for many years! Wow how it's changed!!
A guide for when I visit my parents!
Haha i took u to all these spots
I didn't know you guys knew each other! Good to see Jay be a member of the Barrio!
Bookmark a place called Switchboard, it’s relatively unknown but the breakfast and drinks were insane.
Oceanside is getting built up but with it is coming a lot of great spots, clean food and nightlife, I’m excited! Love living here.
My favorite place for grub is "That Boy Good". It's an outstanding BBQ joint. I always get the bloody mary.
Local here good job!!
Those hazy beers are so nice!
You gotta go to sunset market in the summers!!
LOVE the San Diego SERIES!
Dang you should have went to the Mission Donut House. Also, you gotta check out CoLab Public House in Vista!
16 minutes of watching J down beers with his buddy. Apparently, he knows his audience well!
I’m fortunate to live near here next to 333😊
Those street tacos you were eating sure looked good! I’ve been having the craving for Mexican food quite a bit.
I made it my mission to keep Colima’s in business when I was stationed down thurr.
My home...Buccaneer Beach, awesome!
O'side spots to check out, from another local.
Breakfast:
101 Cafe on Coast Hwy is car themed diner. I get the "pile up" because it reminds of Waffle House along the East Coast where I'm originally from.

Next time you're back in Oceanside, one of the best taco spots is La Hacienda off the 76. Hidden gem 💎 I try to put everybody onto that place.
You need to go to the Privateer in South Oceanside and the Wrench and the Rodent.
Hopefully the inland 76 highway resorts in the future: Pala Resort, Harrahs, Valley View, etc!
Check out PARLOR DONUTS at 311 N. Cleveland St. Incredible donuts and coffee, and only one block east of the pier.
Review the Mission
Done a segment there! Check out my north county hidden gems video
Is Oceanside easy to get to via public transport from San Diego central..? Am heading over on holiday from the UK....cheers!!!
Yeah I want to see Mission Pacific hotel video please.

What beach has the most vendors? Going this weekend!
I do a lot of business in Oceanside- with school, sites. I’ve seen the good, the bad and the ugly.
Class 03 el camino
Hanging out around the entrance areas to the beach south of the pier past midnight will yield the funniest stoner adventures with the most random people ever
Pier almost burnt down. Hopefully the city will repair it.
Can you tell me where to get the best pancit in San Diego?
You need to find the old guy who is always in the long black trench coat. He is an O side staple.
I live here!
Born and raised in Oceanside. Sorry to say don’t like the over development in downtown. They are squeezing out the locals. Don’t mind the food places but all the hotels. Buccaneer beach is our hidden gem.

Any hotels in that general area that aren't $$$$ like MIssion and Seabird?
We stay at southern California beach club, same location cheaper price !
Vista next.....
Its on the list!
First
U did it!
so sad to see the end of the pier all destroyed now.
Really sad!
JAYCATION,
I AM MOVING TO OCEANSIDE IS THERE A WALMART. I LOVE BURRITOS 🌯 ARE THERE ANY GOOD JOINTS?
3 walmarts in Oside. Check out Valentina for burritos
@Jaycation thank you
And I love blonds 2 my wife is a blonde
Tom the tourist.
Too much traffic, too many people, and if you go off the beaten path, too much crime.
It looks like u smoked shabu back in ur day x)
Lol nah i got asthma
Traffic is terrible and there are too many homeless walking around. Rent is overpriced and gas is the highest in the nation.
Okey, well you will love Hutchinson, Kansas then.
Too crowded parking is a nightmare. Lots of homeless people in the parks and sleeping in the bushes by the beach. Getting through a stop sign on pacific street can take 20 minutes. Awful.
They sell food in between two bathrooms? 🤢🤢 let alone public restrooms damn🤢🤢🤣
Nice place for the homeless to move in.
Is your friend single? I am 60 and single and new to SD...
How is O-Side the most authentic beach town in SD? Is it the obnoxious biker gangs constantly and loudly cruising up and down the strip ruining outdoor dining that makes it authentic? Don’t even have real Mexican food come to south San Diego..real authentic Mexican food is at..
Don't go. It's sucks
Jaycation should be a bigger channel. Sometimes being authentic doesn’t equate to the RUclips algorithm
