People with intra state#
@@pericochief i dont understand. Could you please explain for somebody like myself that is sincerely trying to learn. Thank you boss.
Made lots of since bro I was confused years ago just like you but to be honest it’s best to just go ahead and grab that USDOT and MC together that way you don’t need to go back for anything else like you said. I’m sure you just helped a lot of people out with how simple this is!
I HAVE LEARNED A LOT FROM YOU. I'M GETTING READY TO START AS AN OWNER OPERATOR... THANKS
WONDERFUL JOB breaking it down, one of the best out there
Thank you for this ! We’re a start up company in Indiana so it’s helpful opposed to watching the truckers from GA due to the differences in laws
Hello, MR David McGill: Thank you for breaking down the finer points of the DOT Number distinctions.
Wow! This was months ago and still very informative. Great job!
My brother you are a very good teacher. This is the best I've ever heard it explained.
I'm in!! I've been a company driver for the same company for 22 years, while raising my kids. Now it's time to do what I've always wanted to, have my own truck.
Thanks for the info, I'll be back!
Thank you David for this very important knowledge God bless you and your family
I looked this all up but thanks for the simplification, definitely motivational.
You’re awesome. I can always count on you to break things down.
Thanks man def appreciate your content, would love to see a video with recommendations on how to grow your trucking business in the current market and whether or not you think it’s a wise move to purchase a second or third truck when freight rates are relatively lower than the previous years. Would also like to hear how long it took for you to generate and see a profit after you were granted authority and got your truck as well as how long it took you to start the business itself. More specifically if you had to cover any of the fixed or variable expenses out of pocket for a while before you were able to turn a profit when you first started out. Thanks
Great video buddy, loved it! It helped me understand more about my job as a Truck dispatcher
I'm new to the hotshot game or trucking industry all I was looking for was to connect with someone that has knowledge about what I'm perusing

Hi David , thanks again sharing this information . I just need to know that before applying USDOT/MC number do I need to register my company with a specific name .I am new owner operator . Thanks . God bless you

Thank you very helpful
You are very pretty
Hola, This info. was very helpful and what's the difference between LLC & INC licensed?
after subscribing to your RUclips channel I wanted to absolutely follow up. I’m looking for a contract for one year using a dry van. I’m looking for a dedicated power route or similar traveling from Houston to anywhere within Texas for 1yr. Do you have any suggestions.? Your RUclips videos are extremely informative and helpful. As a result, I sought you out to show my appreciation
I wanna get the MC just in case i wanna go cross country, which ill pay $300 but now it asks me for an arbitration program which is $180 a year😕, great video! Thats why i asked cause you explained very well😎
Good day brother. I operate a to truck company with a DOT intrastate #. I would like to transition into the semi trucking, my question is, can I simply update my info on FMCSA or do I need to reapply all over and get a new DOT #?
What is your thoughts and suggestion on AB5 taking place next year in California? Thanks.
I recently applied for my interstate DOT # thank you for the help. I received a call right away saying that I would also need to apply for a driver qualification file and a medical DOT card. Do you have any information on that?
QUESTION, So in PA if someone wanted to become an Interstate carrier but didn't want to wait the 21 days for the mc# to become active to move freight. Would you suggest getting the US Dot# then registering with PUC to start hauling intrastate , then applying for the mc# in order to cut having your equipment not making any money those 21 or so days?
very good video
That was clear
Can you use a virtual address or po box number while filling for your trucking authority
Hello Mr David I like all your videos thanks for great help so I applied for usdot and mc numbers I already get usdot right away but I don't have a truck yet also I'm trying to buy next year so is my usdot and mc numbers are going to be dismissed until next year ?? Thanks Mr David 👍
Question so if I’m only operating within the state and not hauling more than 10,000 pounds do you need a DOT or MC? Can you just operate off of your LLC and get loads off the load board within the state?
Made perfect sense

hey man so my question is this: Getting my own authority, there is around a 4-week waiting period. is there a way to get everything you need while that four week period is going? Or is that 4 week period mandatory?
Hey! I see a lot of trailers and tractors with IN plates. What does IN state offer that other states don't? What laws/rules are different? If you understand what I'm trying to ask.
I want to start a box trucking business. Do I need to already own a box truck already before I apply for a USDOT & MC #? Or can I apply for a USDOT & MC # and later on go shopping for a box truck? Please and thank you.
💪🏿💪🏿 very helpful video
Also, can you lease your tractor out to a company without the dot and mc number?
Dave if I am intrastate with Active MC Number can I cross state lines?
Hi David, I'm a Freight Broker, do I need two have two DOT numbers to move freight and to get my insurance approved. Someone told me that l need a separate MC and Dot number to have a carrier move freight for me. I would appreciate your insight.
Can u get this way before the truck right or is it better getting it while getting a truck?
