hmm ... about 16 hours, 4 evenings for 4 hours, half of the time was spent on editing and slicing layers in Photoshop, the other half on animation.

No, unfortunately I don't have such a video, but maybe I'll do it sometime. This video has a lot of tips on what I am doing and what tools I use in Photoshop (especially when viewed at a slow speed of 0.25x). In fact, I cut off everything that I want to move in the animation and draw in what is underneath.

Good work. So, you used photoshop to create dlfferent layers, then used spine to animate it.
Any other software used here?
This is not Spine, this is After Effects. Plus, I used additional plugins and scripts in it; Trapcode Particular (for particle effects) and Duik (for character rig).

Content Aware Fill. Make selection (delete, not necessary), right click - fill (with content aware selected). Or use Content-Aware Fill tool from Edit menu/
