The Last of Us 2 - Downtown firetruck and island puzzle

This The Last of Us Part 2 game guide video shows the solution to an environmental puzzle in the Downtown level (semi open world map in the game). There's a firetruck at the center of the map. Follow the route from our video to reach the firetruck. After looting the vehicle (you can get a cool axe) use the hose to drop yourself and start swinging. This will allow you to reach a small island area with extra loot.

I did this in grounded and I didn't see anything in the truck. Probably because everything was already upgraded...

I spent over three hours in downtown Seattle and never thought to look here.
I also missed some items in the Serevena Hotel when I unwittingly triggered a point of no return that overwrote my autosave.

Wow I never knew you could just walk off the side while carrying it... Just lost a permadeath playthrough to this because I tried to throw it then hit the jump button to go down. Ellie fucking sent it hahaha
