Look, I need to correct you.
In California where you could buy the car, there was the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit , the California Tax Credit, and local regional clean air agencies providing discounts and local electric companies.
One person with a 3 year lease there said he paid $29 a month in his video.
I bought a 2017 Fiat 500e with the eSport package with 19,945 miles this week. Today is July 2, 2023. I can get a 30% Federal Tax Credit for Used Electric Cars today!!!
The batteries are liquid cooled. Well, an electric car dealer compared a 500e with 40,000 miles compared to a Nissan Leaf that was a year old. The Fiat had 6% battery degradation and the air cooled battery by Nissan had a 20% battery degradation after a year!
    Wow!

We get 30% credit on used in OR, too. My friend has a 17 with 14,000 miles. He bought a new Tesla and may sell it soon. He offered 11k, I don’t want to spend that much. It would be $8000 with tax incentives. If he will do $8000, I’ll srsly consider it. I have two kids and teacher seat us super small. Smaller than my old 87 Sprint Turbo by a LOT. I’m concerned with long term, I enjoy keeping my cars over 15 years. Is there hope of getting a new rehab battery down the road? I don’t want a paper weight.

for the size of the car the numbers are solid. i was expecting hp/tq to be sub 100. that thing probably rips

2:51 As far as I remember, Mazda also offered a rental car service with their electric MX-30, which only had 92 miles of range.

You have to give Fiat credit for trying to return to the US. Their cars weren't good quality but they made a serious effort to have a moderately diverse and quirkily-Fiat lineup. Unfortunately they didn't make cars Americans wanted and the quality didn't help. Probably the best things to come out of their time here were a better-looking Miata in the 124 Spider and the 500X platform that the Jeep Renegade rides on. Renegades are everywhere where I live.
The original MSRP is high, but you also have to factor in the $7500 tax credit that brought it down to the mid 20s. Still expensive when you're not far off from a much better Leaf or Bolt and a gas 500 could be had in the $teens.
I love how the push-button shifter is clearly a complete afterthought. What was wrong with the regular automatic shifter?

yeah, I am not thrilled with modern-Fiat at all (outside of Abarth stuff). I have seen your reviews of them and other peoples reviews of them and I really don't like the interior quality and knowing Fiats reliability It would take a lot to make me buy one.
I would love to see you get your hands on a classic Fiat though! (although you kind of did with your Yugo review)!

Way to turn a + into a -, FREE RENTAL!
Whoever said white interior is low maintenance lied, whoever believed it is a fool. The problem is the fabric part of the seat. Too bad they're so rare otherwise you might be able to replace it
I use cruise control every time.
No one ever paid $32k, they had cheap lease and they're used car bargain. Not a good car for a lazy person with a long commute, I have to walk a block to charge while I work, I don't mind tiny bit of exercise.
If you remove the four bolts and remove the trunk organizer there's extra space to be had. It can carry a few pieces of 8 ft lumber with a hatch closed.
The back seats are only comfortable for small children, even sillier is a giant SUV or pickup with 1 person commuting.
The quality is good and that gray color scheme looks great, I have creamsicle orange, wish I could collect them, I also like the light blue and cream white.

The Fiat 500e is the ONLY ev that’s retains a hydraulic handbrake. No e-brake buttons. That alone should be the selling point: an analog JOY stick.

Bosch battery made of Samsung cells. Real world range is much less esp on freeways, 55ish. I like the free rent a car plan, BMW has a better ver. The best of the white interior is the dash, the worst is the fabric insert in the seats, some have white dash, black seats. Creamsicle, not strawberries and cream. Tires chirp with traction on too. Rear seat cup holder are between front seats, for your prisoners or tiny people. Ton of storage space with rear seats folded all the way down & organizer removed. Most of these were leased super cheap. Only slightly overpriced msrp compared to other EVs, ended. 2019.
