Thank you for this video. I'm 65 but am fortunate to have fairly good skin (I've always looked after it) but since having chemo (a long & rather arduous 8 cycles) I've experienced acne, which I've managed to settle down by using Retinol cream. I was lucky enough to get some Obagi cream, which suited my skin so well but can't seem to find it anywhere in the UK now. I appreciate it is difficult for you to recommend particular products when you can't see someone's skin but am interested to know if there is any particular cream of this type, preferably Tretinoin? Thank you in advance... x

I use tretinoin from agency. My formula has tret .14%, azelaic acid 5%, tranexamic acid 5%, niacinamide 4%. I love it. I don't really have sensitive skin so I use glycolic acid, copper peptides and bakuchiol of the evening before putting my tret on. I normally have dry and dehydrated skin but it's more normal now that I've perfected my skin regimen thanks to watching your videos!!!

@@TheDreamymy hey hi! I get my prescription tret thru Agency, they're a branch off of Curology. .14% is the highest % of prescription strength tret you can get. Private Doctors will/can only prescribe up to .1% in the US. Just to clarify, .14% is more than .1%, in case you're not a math whiz. I'm not sure why it's shocking or funny what strength my prescription is - its the strongest prescription strength, it works for me and my skin and that's all that matters! Feel free to reach out if you want more info about agency or if you're interested in trying it. I love the convenience!

I use tretinoin alternating every other night with MAS Retinal. I use A Game 5 on my neck on the nights I use Tret. I follow your routine almost identically except I use galactomyces first and the centella brightening serum, before Azelaic. For droppers I use around 5 drops and for pump I tend to use 1 pump except for your super serum which I use 1 and a bit! My 30ml bottles tend to last me around 3 months. I could see the instant glow on camera with your peptide serum and I’m heading right over there to pre-order! Sending love from the poolside of a vegan retreat (daughter’s choice!) slathered in MAS sunscreen❤xx

Over the counter I love the products from Niche Beauty Labs. The Transparent Lab Retinal Age Reverse for my neck and eyes and the Theramid Clinical Vitamin A for my face. (Beginners be careful, it's only non irritating, if you come from medical strength retinoids)

Hi, I'm very glad you have incorporated the tretinoin in your routine!
I use tretinoin, a-ret gel 0.5%. And thank you very much, as you encouraged me to stick to it when the dryness hit me around week 7. At the beginning I had no issues, and when the dryness started, I got a bit scared and I was thinking to stop.
Fun fact the azelaic acid caused me itching and pain for weeks so I gave up on it (aPAD-Azeclair from G&G was okay but I did not see anything, so I did not bought it again).

Hi Rob, I am late to this party!!! Have a bit of catching up to do!! I use tret when I can (you have to get it on prescription here in Ireland and most derms won't prescribe it for 'ageing gracefully' reasons!!) - however I stock up whenever I am in Spain. In the interim I LOVE the Geek and Gorgeous retinal (I am on level 10 now). G and G are a fantastic brand and their founder Judit is really impressive (Clare Johnston from The Honest Channel interviewed her a couple of years back and it was hard not to fall head-over-heels for her and the brand - she is impressive!!) - they are very reasonably priced when compared to Medik8. Absolutely love full skin care routines. I have struggled with my tretinoin for several years so I’m trying to perfect it too! I am 57 with normal/ combo skin, sensitive, occasional hormonal acne, but overall good condition with a few fine lines around the eyes. I am really working on the aging well routine, not just for my skin, but my life.
Could I use the Stratia Interface as my peptides (I just purchased and have been using in my AM routine) or would that not be a good peptide option? Also, I love my K beauty toners. I use Secret Key Starting Treatment Essence and MakePrem Safe Me (from Kelly Driscoll’s channel 💕) - along with a plethora of others I’ve purchased, but I try to stick to hydrating, soothing and barrier protecting. Is it okay to use these along with my tretinoin? Thank you so much! You are an absolute favorite. My son lived in England for 4 years due to his job and I loved shopping at Tesco! ❤️❤️❤️🇨🇱

I currently use Retin-A Micro that I purchased from two different online Indian pharmacies. I have made several purchases over the years, and when I do I usually buy at least six tubes of each product. My last purchase was about 2 years ago. It is quite an involved process to get set up with them initially, and can seem kind of sketchy at times. I cannot find the two I have used in the past, which is odd. If anyone knows why this may be the case, please let me know. My best advice is to BE CAUTIOUS with each step of the process if you decide to go this route. If anyone is wondering why I do this, it is cost. In the United States, we pay over $100 for one tube, where as I have been able to purchase what the exact same thing, same brand, etc. for approximately $10. I think the tubes may be a little smaller, but overall I have been extremely happy.

Love this video.. I use tretinoin 0.1 % every night. Directly to my skin with moisturizers over it. It took a while to use this strength. I started off at a lower concentration . I also use a group of products by Peaches Skin Care here in the US. I use Vitamin C in the morning with a few serums and sunblock. Tretinoin is not something to be feared. Yes there will be peeling at first, but it can be done.

Whatever happened to Renova? I thought you had said you were sticking with Retinal. I discovered retinal from the boj eye cream. I started using all over my face like many reviewers were. Love your content 😺😻😊

I prefer full routines. I do not copycat, but I can learn a lot about how to curate and maintain a routine. On my face I use tretinoin, gel version, 0,05 strength. On my neck I prefer retinal, 0,05 strength. Sometimes i go simply with the retinal. I fancy the texture of my new favourite retinal gel, which is from a Hungarian brand, this time not G&G, it is from Pom Pom. It is called Slow-age Retinal Peptide Face Gel or sg similar.

I've only just seen this video for some bizarre reason, I use Medik8 Crystal retinal face serum 6 on my face and neck, summer Fridays jet lag overnight eye serum and Medik8 crystal retinal 3 or 6 on my eyes and use face sprays constantly in between each layer of skicare, my favourite is niod spray! Can I use my biossance copper peptide serum first, and where does the hyaluronic acid come into it ? xx

Hello, so listening to this video it would be ok to use Tretinoin with Arbutin and Tranexamic acid then?
At night I currently use: cleanser, Tretinoin, timeless Q10, PC peptides, Medik8 6 eye cream and moisturizer.
    Mornings:
    PC toner
    Timeless c serum
    Arbutin
    TXA
    Eye cream
    Moisturizer
    Sunscreen.
Can I swap peptides to morning and Arbutin and TXA at night?

I started using Tret last year, but can't tolerate it. Even twice a weak over moisturizer burns my skin and turns it dark red for days. I don't use any other actives with it. I decided to let my skin heal and only use it on my larger pores and skip the rest of my face. So sad that it doesn't work for me

I use Tatcha Indigo cream first, then put my .05% tretinoin over it. My skin is taking forever (6+ months) to get used to tretinoin. I’m starting to wonder if I will ever get used to tretinoin.

Which tretinoin prescription are you getting sweetie? I live in the UK and I was getting it through Skin and Me, but now that I reached a commercially available dose, I wanted to change to a regular prescription. I managed to get with GP, but they said the only formulation available was Treclin. I have used it before and it is great, but, it has antibiotic too. So I did not want to use it for more than 3 months :/

I bought some retinol-ish products before I knew anything so now I'm trying to use up the Pixi jasmine and retinol toner (doubt it does anything, doesn't say percentage, still use it no more than 3 times a week). Then I have 3 retinol containing night creams: the Origins one, the Nip+Fab one and the La Roche Posay one. Does anyone have any suggestions about which one to use first? I'm thinking Origins, then Nix+Fab, then the LRP. The LRP seems to me the most 'proper' one, but I'm guessing the Origins will be milder? I know, I'm a horrible shopper and hoarder! When I finish these creams I think I'll do some proper research and then go for a serum, looking at Rob's recommendations!

I'm using tretinoin with dexpanthenol, tranexamic acid, and niacinimide. This formula works well for a while, then starts to irritates and cause peeling. I don't know how to avoid this.

My skin prefers adapalene used daily instead of tret every other day. I can use acids, peptides, and other actives with the adapalene and as someone who struggles with acne and is working on anti aging I need to be able to use other actives. I will probably switch to tret mid 30’s (currently 26)

I don’t use any serums on a tret night. Also I’m not doing the sandwich method but I use the tiniest amount of tret so maybe that’s why I don’t get irritation

Do you have to go to the GP to ask for a prescription? I’m not talking about dermatica or skin + me. I would like to get the same Tret as shown in the video. What is the price roughly and how long does it last roughly? ❤

A U.K. GP won’t prescribe Tret you would have to see a private GP or a private dermatologist . A GP may prescribe a topical treatment called Epiduo with is Benzyl Peroxide and Adapalene but it’s used for acne type of skin . The private Tret tubes lole like Obagi Tret is over £100 for a it’s either 15 or 20 ml can’t quite remember the ml size . Quite a small tube though /
