Great video! It strongly refreshed my childhood memories when my friends and I used to play this game for hours and hours. The lore is amazing, and I find it fantastic that the developers thought about writing 2 endings for every character. Here are 2 fun facts about Mace: The Dark Age, the developers had 30 characters designed via concept art but only 16 of them could make it in while the rest were supposed to be saved for two installments in a Trilogy of some sense. The second fact is that the trademark and copyright licensing for this game hasn't been renewed since 2001, so anyone can just pick up the rights at this point.

As I type this my thumb is aching from trying to beat the game with my main man Deimos... It has been a couple of years since i last booted my N64, so I'm a bit rusty - and i was never that good to begin with. But hitting those combos is just so satisfying!

I noticed the discrepancy between what was written in the manual text and the date in the game when I was reviewing an early copy of the video. Ultimately I decided to make the effort to make my video more accurate. I'm sure you can tell the difference in my voice; that line was dubbed in way later. So of course I went to all that effort and was wrong anyhow lol. Go figure.
I love this rare game, I made a facebook group for it. I still play on my N64 every now and again. Still can't beat it due it has a credit system, and the game is to smart at reading my moves, it's impossible to beat. If I had unlimited credits, I think I could beat it.
If you press start on a second controller you get credits as a "second player", you can go back and forth between controllers for unlimited credits! That's how I got my first win, as much as I love this game the boss is a bit bullshitty...
