The little laughing you made when you lighted the mini-lights outside ... this only happens when someone truly appreciate the little things in life and you got there! Definitively! :) I love your dark backsplash, the contrast with the oven and ceramic is great and once you will add decorations, plants, you can add some white or light colour, light wood accents and it will all balance. You have a great taste! I am following your journey every week, keep going one! I truly love to watch your videos :)

I found you after you had already been videoing for awhile. Somewhere around the water pump house build. I caught up and usually watch your videos more than once. I’ve recently been watching from video one again and am currently here. I know everyone already says this but - you truly are an inspiration. It’s your presence, your perseverance, your ability to see the beauty around you, your clear understandable explanations, your conversations about your thoughts and the world around you, your relationships with your family, your talent in many artistic ways, your gentle soul that draw us in time and time again. I don’t own an old cabin in Sweden but do own an old house in a neighborhood. Much much smaller piece of land. I spent years raising my two kids. Lived with a blanket of despondency affecting most of my waking moments. I always pushed myself - because of my kids - to keep up the house, the yard, build terraces out of large flat stones we found while out on our errands or adventures. Dig 3 tiers out of the side of our backyard hill and make gardens, add more vegetable gardens to one sunny side of the house and another flower garden on the shadier side with the stone walkway and patio. I always hired a contractor to do all the work I’ve managed to have done to the actual house over the years but do all the ceiling, trim, wall painting. Have pulled down old panelling and prepared walls for painting and plan to sand all the wood floors once after I have finished up each room and all of the yard work. BUT I think I will try my hand at making a dbl sink wash station out back this spring and perhaps even a work station like yours! Mostly use it’s as a garden center. But if all goes well with the wash station build who knows what that will awaken in me! You definitely give me inspiration in many many ways. And I want to thank you for that. You probably don’t really know how many people you impact but I m sure I m not the only grateful one!

We are such nesters...I am constantly changing the paint colors and proximity of my furniture appeasing the whims of what visually makes me happy in that moment...just do it and if you don't love it, change it...I am currently delving into black, terra cota, aqua and chartreuse...living in Florida makes it easy to have these colors, all of my walls were grey when I bought the house 11 months ago. Example: my fireplace wall is now black including the surround, the feature wall is the terra cota, which mirrors my dining room which is terra cota as well, the neutral wall with the huge window is still grey...this room is very moody, my library and collectables kept in huge cupboards makes me feel like I'm in a study room of a museum...it's cozy for me...make it cozy for you, I love the dark green...excited to see more !

I am slowly doing renovations in my crooked old home which I rented for 8yrs before being able to purchase. I have so many ideas tucked away that I manage to tackle a little at a time in between work. I need a new roof with complete tear off, that will require some help but I also do most of the work myself...just because we're girls doesn't mean we can't! I would love to get a few portable power stations but the cost is not in my budget currently as I have to save for the roof and replacing a few windows. PS I love the green; green is my favorite color.

Hello. I think you are amazing, constantly challenging yourself and recording it. I only wish we knew more about you, what interests you intellectually, what are your favourite books, the photographs of the nature and landscapes we don't see. I wish you well

The dark green is beautiful and will make the kitchen feel really cozy when it's finished.

It’s not easy when you have crooked walls but you’ll find a way to make it look so good
