*[BLAMMING]* intensifies
Ah. The Heretic earning redemption by holding his sword as he reloads. He has attoned for his sins.
If the commissar turns your squad member into an "inspiring example", make sure to learn from it. These officers already know how to fight and what loss is, your squad doesn't.
Edit: Unless you're a Krieger, in which case that commissar is just there to make sure you live for a proper assault and not die without good reason to.
"Throne! That commissar is tearing through them! Why isn't he with his plutoon?"
"Well, Vox operator William convinced him that it was a friendly division who was retreating our way."
Imagine seeing like 15 of your mates shot and chopprd within 30 seconds and and all you see is some dude who looks gnarly as fuck aiming what is essential a mini rocket launcher at you
What it lacks in visual fineness it makes up for in the smoothness of the movements and accuracy of details. Really good job
both the animation itself and the feeling are incredible.
The bold blows up whatever is on the wrong side of the weapon, and the recoil is really felt when you see the bolt pistol firing.
Reload scene, deep breathing sequence, final cut alone in addition to overall chareography and transition, is just excellence in the form of animation. I salute the gentleman, for his effort, wish him a very good day in health mental and physical and hope for further projects such as these to come. I would not glad to be a member of a community even in the seats of audience.
This is amazing. I didn't notice the jankyness much. In fact, it kinda works. It makes the bolt pistol and chainsword seem hefty, heavy and powerful
Is it wrong if I genuinely thought he'd be shooting his own men at first? Gotta keep that morale up
I wouldn't be surprised of those cultists *were* once his own men. They're holding imperial lasguns, freshly painted with aquilas still on, even, and they seem mightily fucking scared.
@@xXFuzzeeXx Oh this makes this 40 times better
Well how else are you going to make them shoot faster?
Soo good. First time viewer, am subbing cause your work is awesome
Ayyyyy thanks! Welcome aboard the slow af upload train!
0:14 Can Chainsaw clash like that?
Truthfully? No, the teeth would either get tangled or one of the chains would get cut, rendering one useless. However, its a badass idea that is elligable for a "Rule of Cool" exemption, so dont question it.
"I do not see Death... All I see is the Emperor's Mercy"
The reload with the chainsword still in the dudes chest was excellent! A fine example for the rest of the troops!
Ork: “I fear no humie, but dat fing, it scares me”
*"THAT'LL teach you all for deserting!"*
I wonder. Have we ever heard about a competent Blod Pact guardsman/cannon fodder? Even Imperium has some named guardsmen that kick ass but I have never heard any chaos ones.
Not that I'm aware of but I could easily be wrong, good Pact and other Traitor Gyard tend to be faceless cannon fodder, with typically only high ranking members being named. Would be awesome though if that weren't the case.
The best way to make your men fight terrors beyond understanding?
Get someone scarier to stand behind them.
That moment where he left his chainsword in that traitor and casually reloaded his gun was not just badass but also a neat bit of humour, great stuff!
Impressive work.
Just watched your first fully assembled short film, and it is a pleasure to find these earlier vids showing you build up your skills, great work, looking forward to seeing more: creators like yourself are building a golden era for 40k content after so long as a niche sub genre, thank you :)
Ork warboss Gurk: "Imma gonna end tha' humie career"
Hey this loops perfectly
FOR EMPERORS SAKE THIS IS BLOODY AMAZING!
“Hold this while I reload”
Well, you CAN let the heretic hold your blade for you. Or, you could follow the example of Commissar Captain Ciaphas Cain, HERO OF THE IMPERIUM, and use a damned laspistol.
I feel like everyone forgets how much of a fighting badass the commissars are

*Kindly hold my chainsword while I reload, heretic*
So cool to see a bolt pistol with appropriate kickback 😈
Was definitely worth the time and effort you put into it. Looks very good.
If you would only had excess to more high quality models, but that's for the future.
I'm learning modelling atm, but oh boy its gonna be a loooong time before I make anything presentable. Thanks!
This is why they say "fear me, but follow"
0:19 Casually reloads weapon while chainsword is inside enemy.
Heretic: i fear no man but that commissar is scares me
One reason the Commissar keeps the men motivated is not merely through the fear of execution, but because he leads by example.
Fight, that you may accomplish deeds as badass as this man.
Out of everything that I love in this animation (which is a lot) I think the hammering heartbeat in the background is by far my favorite sfx in this short film. Really adds to the tension.

hold my chainsword real quick
"Beware of an old man in a profession where men usually die young."
"Now let's crank it up, release the Berserkers!... What? He's already dead? Well, predictable" (c)
What is this, a commissar that actually shot more heretics than guardsman in a single vid???
