I live about 30 seconds away from their so called office and can confirm it is empty and is up for let. It was a bank before and then a training center. But Jim is spot on with his research.
This was the one part of Jim's research I was skeptical about. Google maps street view isn't known for being up-to-date, and I don't think its a great indication of if a place is being rented out.
Jim i am from India , the police is shamefully corrupt here. I am sure the police people get their commissions. Please keep exposing these rascals. Best wishes.
I am sorry that these people make your wonderful country get a negative reputation online. It's not like there aren't scams and frauds from every other country, but these tech support scams get particular attention in online communities. And the only reason so many of them come from India is because Western companies have created a market for them by outsourcing legit tech support to India, which gives scammers a business model, technology, and experienced workers to build these enterprises with.
Emil Sørensen a majority of scams in the USA are sourced from India due to the low wages and lesser jobs. It all depends on the location too but I wouldn’t consider that to be wonderful lol it is a beautiful country however
Sumit, I actually listed the same on another of Jim's videos.... I have a reliable source close to this area whom have informed me of the exact same as you stated above. They have actually given me summations of dealings of these corrupt factions of law enforcement in this region. Thank you for saying this and letting all these people know. Also, any of the "busts" are simply a way to "pretend" to show a care or concern.
Although it wastes a scammer's time, it doesn't affect them that much. They're still gonna keep on scamming. If only all the scambaiters were like Jim...
Exactly. Stop thinking the time of these young guys from poor areas of India is oh so valuable - it's not, you can waste 2-3 hours of their time a month, won't make a big difference to them. Sure, if you get 100 people constantly screwing with them, that will affect the business but that's not happening.
That woman calling them "I know it's a scam and called the police, so if you could please release my computer, that would be lovely". She scares me with her levelheadedness.
@@AV57 Many people like to see the government as dumb and/or incompetent but they often miss the fact that a government is simply a "mafia with manners" when you get down to it. If the scammers are in India: "That's their turf, if they want to make some small change skimming off the top. Let them, what are we gonna do? Start a war over pennies?" But if they operate within say "US" turf: "You just walked into the wrong *ucking part of town amigo. Now we have to make an example out of you."
Identifying scams was a thankless job, but I and countless others genuinely thank you for doing this great work, even if it dosent earn you celebrity status
I live in Australia, and like most places in the world we are inundated with these types of calls and emails and texts. My very elderly mother almost became a victim, she suspected they were scammers and just hung up but they rang every half hour and increased the verbal abuse which frightened her, and she rang me in tears. So I went to her place and we waited for the next call from them and once we were sure it was them we got the personal alarm that I bought her and let it rip down the line, I know it wasn't right to do that but now she has a way to defend herself against their nasty persistence. Luckily she gave no details to them, but she was getting to that stage because she was frightened and wanted them to stop. I don't have enough to give you through your patreon, but I can thank you for what you do, helping people directly and indirectly via the videos. Cheers!
In Nigeria there is a religion which is based around cyberscamning. The scammers believe that they must pay a tribute to their local shaman if a scam is going to be successful. So, the scammers actually have their versions of saints...which maybe would make Jim a demon to them? LoL
@@jessehammond9710 I saw a comment in another Jim Browning video. I'd say the scammers are the demons. Jim, as that comment stated, is the Doom Slayer. All the scammers fear is *him*.
Oh man! That Supremo call was like heavenly angels singing. That was absolutely beautiful. Tremendous work Jim. Absolutely brilliant. How'd you do that? EDIT: I played that call 5 times in a row it was so good.
If it is one day possible to put an end to this and all of the other scams on the telephone and the Internet it will only be because of Jim Browning and people like him. Except there don't seem to be any other people like him!
My Nan who had dementia got scammed, though it wasn't by people like this. They came to the door and everything, and then they installed something in our power box that could've set the whole place on fire. She ended up being instrumental in taking them down though. (This happened, however, before her diagnosis before we knew to be careful about letting her go to the front door when strangers were around.)
Oh lord I love the lady that was like “I’m aware it’s a scam, if you could get ahold of my computer and tell it it’s not gonna be scammed anymore that would be lovely~”
This is insane, how much time and effort you put in this video is huge. Thank you for all of this information in ONE video. Some people would brake this up into at least 4 parts
@David Kennedy. And to further add to Simon White's comment, try using capital letters and punctuation. You might want to move out of that glass house you're living in David, because you're throwing a whole lot of stones.
Jim is currently the only one on RUclips that is actively trying to expose these Indian scams and is going the extra mile in financially ruining those behind it. Jim, you are the true hero and I thank you for all of your efforts.
Being a person of a more “mature” age 🤭, I appreciate the professional way you handle yourself. I feel there’s a better chance that those more likely to fall victim will take it seriously. For those who have been scammed, especially the IRS scams in the US, where they take every last penny one has, it’s in no way funny. Unfortunately our government is not taking it seriously either. I have used your videos to show many people how the scams work. There seems to be a large number of elderly people falling victim in my community recently. I am excited that I might be able to safely further participate! Heading to the website now.Thank you “Jim”✌🏻💛
Isn't it sickening how they can steal peoples social # and other personal information on a daily basis for a measly sum? They have to be aware they are destroying peoples lives.
Yes we have had the same IRS scam here in Australia only ours is called the ATO. Apparently they scour the online telephone book and pick numbers of people where there is only one name, assuming that they are possibly elderly, and all on their own, so therefore vulnerable. I just hang up as soon as I hear that gap just before the VOIP kicks in and they start talking, it's gotten to the stage that if their number doesn't come up with a name from my list then I don't know them so I don't answer and then I put a block on that number. Cheers!
You're doing amazing work, warning these victims and helping them recover what's been taken from them. It's a damn good thing there are kindhearted people like you to look out for the vulnerable, even in very unorthodox ways like this.
I know I’m late to the party you’ve thrown for us all Jim but as this video was posted on my birthday last year, I have to say it is the best belated birthday present I’ve ever received. You are an amazing man and I wish I had half the talent and determination you display when finding justice for victims. Your videos are amazing and I know you’ll probably never read this but I had to put it out there. You are a modern day Robin Hood and I will be supporting you on Patreon so you can keep up your work.
Jim, like I’ve said on many occasions, you are a true gent and a stalwart against these scammers. You are making a difference and only wish you could be part of of a worldwide policing unit that takes these people down...hard.... Thank you on behalf of many friends who have learnt from you...a true knight in shining armour 🏆👍🏼😊
He can't, what he's doing is technically illegal, although morally not in my opinion, he will get into a lot of trouble if he makes a company and monetises illegal activity though it.
That lady at the end was really not having it 😂 she’s amazing. I would just see the pop up say it’s a scam turn my computer off and not bother with anything else. But she decided to call them 😂
Jim, you are the modern hero. Thank you for your work. I have not been targeted by scammers but your videos are very helpful. Also you are the Liam Neeson against scammers!
I've been on a binge - watching all your content. You are definitely unique Jim! "Internet batman!" really fits you as a title as I read in one of your other videos comment section. I am of Indian origin, and one day my daughter asked me "Why are all these scammers from India dad?" I couldn't really give her a direct answer. But I pointed out that India is one of very few english speaking developing nations. And one of the reasons for this was the english language infrastructure left by the British government before they left in 1947 (net positive for India IMO). I am not trying to justify any of this, but I thought I'd share this bit of insight on how language proficiency could impact where these scams originate. Likewise, it is possible that the nigerian scam works well in the email format because they would be instantly found out in the higher bandwidth audio communications. So if we fast forward 20 years, we'll have AI powered scams in the metaverse! I am not looking forward to that. Tech companies must spend more resources to make sure they protect innocent / less experienced people from this kind of abuse.
All I could think of while watching this is why hasn't a government paid you to head a dept. to go after and catch these fools. I then realized you might actually have to many restrictions as a government agent and it might be more difficult for you to research these frauds. No matter what your hard work and attention to detail is admirable. Thank you for sharing Jim.
They think they got a new inbound call: "thank you for calling plushie bear tech industries my name is john johnson how may i help you?" "yes, hello saharva ive seen one of your cheap javascript popups again"
Atomic Shrimp did a similar concept. "Cyber Stalking Scammers" or something along those lines. He uses similar methods to Jim to get personal information about them and essentially scare them. It sounds like a really weird idea, but honestly, fuck these scammers. I also feel like it's worth noting that Atomic Shrimp doesn't reveal any information to the public, just so we're all on the same page about it.
Hi Jim,I’ve just read your email to scam victims, it’s clear and straight to the point..I wish the police or some government department would employ you and a team of like minded people..this problem wouldn’t last for much longer with you on the case...good luck for the future and don’t stop what you’re doing,it’s a valuable public service !!
They are bonafide IT yogis now? Lulz. New subscriber as of this week, Jim. I've been binge watching your vids and gleaning as much knowledge as possible from them. I'm someone with some technical knowledge and a lot of time on my hands so I think I'll be joining in on the fun this week. Thanks for all that you do!
I was put onto this channel by one of my customers today. I work for a U.S. based remote technical support company known as OneSupport. We're based out of San Marcos, TX, with many of our agents working remotely (from their homes), including myself. Even the remote agents are American and live in the continental U.S. as we do not employ anyone overseas. We've been in business for over 21 years (as OneSupport) and were in business even longer - since 1993 - under our old name of teleNetwork. We started as an outsourcing company, basically doing customer service, internet help desk, and sales support for many different clients (mostly I.S.P.s). Right around 1999, we began letting agents work remotely and knew we would need an internal help desk for those agents in case they had difficulty with their tools. So, OneSupport began as teleNetwork's internal help desk. After a few years of this, we eventually decided to open OneSupport to the public (in addition to still being the internal help desk for our company) in an effort to bring in more business by providing a competitive option versus other similar companies, like Best Buy's Geek Squad, Staples, etc. We've been growing in leaps and bounds since then and completely rebranded the company last year, dropping teleNetwork from our name and adopting OneSupoprt as the company name overall. This was basically to improve brand recognition. I only mention all this because we don't advertise nearly as much as larger companies like Best Buy, so many of you may not be familiar with us yet. If anyone wants to check us out, our main site is www.onesupport.com . On this site, you'll find information about all of our residential services, links to important other sites, like our Better Business Bureau profile, our shopperapproved.com profile, and our social media accounts (including Facebook, Twitter, and RUclips channel.) Worthy of note: We always try to be upfront with customers about who we are when they call in. (Our greeting is: Thank you for calling OneSupport. My name is _____. How may I help you?) If a customer makes it sound like they didn't hear that or they think they're calling some other company (like Microsoft, for example) we make sure to correct that impression. While we are a licensed re-seller of Microsoft Office products, we do not claim to be Microsoft. We get prank callers all the time, lol. But we are able to help quite a few people as well, so it's worth it. Anyway, I was helping a 70 year old grandmother (I'm not allowed to use these customers' names) earlier who was taken advantage of by a scammer. The scammer had remote access to her PC and was actively controlling her computer when she called me. I immediately had her unplug her router/modem combo so the scammer couldn't fight the customer for control of the mouse. After that was done, I explained how these scams work (and how to avoid them in the future). I got her started with our services, helped her kick the scammer off the computer, then got ready to transfer her to one of our techs, who would then run a full PC tune-up, including scan for (with REAL malware removal tools like Chica PC shield, TDSS Rootkiller, Roguekiller, Trojanremover, etc., etc., ad nauseum) and remove any malicious software the scammer may have left on the machine. Before I could transfer her though, the customer's grandson came home and talked with me for a while. After he was satisfied she wasn't still being taken advantage of, we went ahead with the transfer. Before he was transferred, he told me to look up "Jim Browning" on youtube saying I would like his content. I guess the reason he told me this is because I told him I like to call the scammers when I'm not working, let them into a VMware desktop and then toy with them to waste their time. I figure the more time the scammers waste with me, the less time they have to scam an innocent grandma. I've watched other "scambaiter" youtubers in the past (which is where I got the idea to bait scammers myself, not gonna lie, lol), but NONE of them are as thorough as Jim is. I've been watching this playlist and I have to say, I'm extremely impressed at Jim's investigation techniques. I have subscribed to this channel and will be watching any new content in the hopes that it will help me watch out for identifiable information about these scammers when their victims call me. If I can pull any of this info, then I can forward it to the police. Keep up the great work Jim! P.S. We have a lot of other techs who would like you too. I'll send them a link to your channel as well, just in case they weren't aware of you.
@@khanjra Thanks. We try our best. Our business has taken a hit lately because of the economic impact of Coronavirus on American consumers. But, thankfully, we did pick up a customer service contract with an I.S.P. we'd worked with before. They had been doing customer service solely in brick and mortar call centers prior, only allowing us to man the I.H.D. (Internet Help Desk). But, thanks to COVID-19, they decided to turn it all virtual and we were the first company they called due to our previous working relationship with them. So, thankfully, we haven't had to lay anyone off.
I went to go like this video, and realized I already liked it earlier on in the vid. Great scoop! You're actually making a positive change in the world!
Hey Jim! I came across your RUclips channel the other day & I’ve been hooked on your videos ever since! I’m so glad to see someone fighting these scammers & making a stand for the victims. Whenever I get a scam call I ALWAYS waste as much of their time as possible, I do this hoping that they will miss out on calling a few people because of the extra time they wasted calling me. I don’t know how to do anything you do so figured wasting their time is the least I can do. Watch out for email scams, my mom called me frantically a few weeks ago saying she got an email from Apple saying someone bought over $3,000 worth of Apple products (ipads, iphones, etc) with her credit card. She was so close to calling the number given & giving them info to sort it out because the email looked super legit, just like a normal email you’d get from Apple/ITunes but I told her to forward me the email because I was almost 100% sure it was a scam & sure enough it was! At the top of the email there was an order number so I called Apple support, gave them the order number & sure enough it was an invalid number aka it’s not legit. I was beyond happy that I got ahold of the email & called the legit Apple Support because my mother & I can barley pay our mortgage so we can’t afford to lose any money at all, let alone $3,000. I then informed my mother of the scam & have her real support numbers for Apple, Microsoft, etc. that way if she ever gets a funky email again she can call & find out that it’s a scam right away instead of worrying & possibly getting scammed. Another scam I encountered the other day was the Microsoft support scam, they called my cell phone, idk how cause I’ve never been scammed before & I’m on the “do not call” list but I guess that doesn’t matter, anyway... they called me saying my computer was at risk & they received an alert about it & they needed to fix the problem right away but it would cost me a bit of money. Funny part is I don’t even have a computer, my laptop (only computer in the house) broke a few weeks ago & I don’t have the money to get it fixed or to get a new one. Being I don’t have a computer I knew right away it was 100% a scam but of course I didn’t let on to the scammer I knew, I played along for 25mins acting like I was doing everything they said before finally informing them that I didn’t own a working computer & that I knew they were a scam but before I could even fully get the word scam out they hung up. They now call me everyday from multiple numbers that you can’t call back, everytime they call I either decline the call or I tell them the FBI is tracing the line & they immediately hang up. After a few weeks of telling them that the FBI was tracing all my calls to find them they eventually stopped calling LOL Thankyou for all you do Jim, keep messing with the scammers, they deserve every bit of it & please keep informing the victims, even if they don’t believe you atleast you did the right thing by trying & honestly that’s all you can do. p.s. Sorry for my book of a comment, didn’t realize I wrote that much till after I posted lol honestly I could go on all day about my encounters with scammers because that’s how frequently they call/email me... kinda sad to be honest.
Thank you so much for doing this. I was a victim. I lost over $500! These videos give me such satisfaction and such good quality. Please give us updates on lawsuits!
Why the hell are there no Browser Warnings from Google, Firefox, IE, and anyone else or page where it can occasionally warn users to never deal with those scammers.. Once a user is confident they can deactivate the warnings.. It would be a simple thing for Google to do.. Damn it they can put those silly doodles up with ease..
Jim Browning: Google should look at common behaviours with those pages and warn the user of a potential scam. Kinda like virus scanners and discovering new viruses as opposed to people.
In the case of Google, I think that they don't have this because they're in on these scams (sort of). There are a number of ads through google for various services that will redirect you to the pop-up pages if yoy click on them, made worse by the fact that all google adds link to googleadservices, com where you are then redirected to the pop-up (or to malicious sites that try to do far worse to your system). While they're not running these scams, they are happpily linking to them, so they stand to lose if the were to block/flag them.
My friend's dad got scammed by the Supremo pop up scam. He is elderly and actually payed them like $400 US. Glad you are revealing these people online. Thank you for the work you do!
Got a call today while out with my wife. Wished I was at home to play with these guys more. I told them that they wanted me to download team viewer and that they would run a directory display while typing in my "REFUND" message. The guy didn't know what to say. Thanks for doing what you're doing! Now I need the IRS scammers to call!
Jim you are a true hero! Thank you for doing what you do. I just subscribed to you and I can’t stop watching all of your videos. Luckily I don’t get any called but whenever my parents (very elderly) get called I make sure to get rid of it or not even answer for her and delete the voicemails they get. Hopefully these scammers are brought to light and stopped. You are the greatest 👍🏻
A suggestion to his videos popped up (pun intended) on my suggestions. I watched one, then two, and now I’ve subscribed and am slowly making my way through them all. These videos are great and he’s an actually superhero!
"Hello I am microsoft" "But I rang Microsoft and they said they didn't know you" "M-mam how can you say that you rang them? I-I am a microsoft pardner" imagine their shock if someone actually from Microsoft calls them
I work at a local computer repair shop, and I can't tell you how many people are falling for these scams. It's incredibly frustrating, not towards the customer but towards these assholes. I greatly appreciate your efforts, we may be in different countries but I'm glad someone's exposing these frauds.
Super job, Jim. I am thinking cut out the roots and the plant cannot grow. If the VOIP providers won't sell to them, they will have no phone numbers. If the internet providers won't sell to them, they will have no internet. Also, you are encouraging people to demand their money back, which is nice. But I think that since these people already fell for a rather obvious scam, so maybe they will give the scammers bank their account info for "direct deposit" or their home address to send a cheque. What method do you suggest for return of the money to avoid being re-scammed. I do believe scammers of any kind often return to the people who fell for it before with a slight twist on the scam. I get emails all the time saying oh we know you were scammed by a bad person, would you like us good people to help you get your money back? If so just provide us with your bank account details and a small processing fee.
I know you probably won't ever read this Jim, but I just wanted to let you know how much I love your content and appreciate what you do. My reason for leaving this comment is because I was actually wondering how you managed to gain such an intimate knowledge of not just your own system, but things like networking and being able to trace IP addresses and stuff like that.
They stole his virus off him and installed it themselves I think 😂 As of how he learned all this? Keyword is ‘learned’.... as you learn other stuff like maths and cooking 🙄🙄
He uses spyware hidden in deliberately named enticing files, that infects their systems when opened. Once in he is able to monitor their activity and compiles evidence against them.
Jim Browning, YOU are by far the best most competent and effective Scam buster on line . It`s not just about being funny and making money with you it`s about finding , identifying , under Standing , interrupting the scammers and attempting to have then stopped and arrested . You are the BEST at what you do , Governments and law enforcement of many countries owe you, to recognize and reward you . I am in awe of what you do,, Congratulations, Full respect, I tip my hat to you Sir.
Man, the effort you put in these videos and the information you share are huge! Your content is greatly appreciated and helpful, keep up with the good work!
Hey Jim. Love these videos. You're a hero, frankly. I am thinking that, when you're writing people who may have been scammed, there may be a few ways to word one's message more effectively. It may be a good idea to make your position and your motives for writing more clear, so as to engender a bit more trust. I also would forego the caps-lock and try to seem more authoritative when explaining how you know it was a scam, and why you think asking for a refund might be worthwhile. (People will assume that scammers never refund money. I sure do.) I am not sure sending a link sends the right message, since the first thing people learn in IT security is "never click a link in an email, it's a scam." And you definitely should make it more clear that the *company* is making up lies about you - as written, you are saying that the people you have tried to help are calling you a liar, and even if this is true, it's not something you should be telling people. Also, telling people to do research might not be the right tactic. It gives the impression that you're asking them to do mental work that most people assume they're not qualified for. Instead, I would tell them that you are part of an online community to prevent and spread awareness about these scams, and ask them to go to RUclips and search for one of your video's names, since your videos are a great resource to start with. And then you can remark that you understand that they might be sceptical of you, and maybe mention some brand-name or public consumer advocacy groups that might be good alternative resources. That way, you are giving the recipient an easy and optimal option - watching your video - first, but still portraying yourself as only wanting them to learn to protect themselves (and leaning on the authority of public or well-known resources.) I honestly would admit that I am talking about how to manipulate people's perception of your email to better produce the desired outcome... But, like you're a white-hat hacker, I'm a white-hat rhetorician. My desired outcome is for people to believe the email you send them because it is true and you have evidence to back it up - the trick is about how to get people to look at the evidence, and that requires a bit of guile. By the way, one of the nastiest scams I have seen first-hand was one that claimed that the browser had detected child porn on my PC and had alerted the police. I knew for a fact that this wasn't true, but it's impossible not to react to it as if it is a threat (I sort of irrationally closed my browser, restarted my PC and ran anti-virus checks), and I totally understand if someone would react to it by asking these assholes for "help." And it really is a threat to say that you'll call the cops on someone, obviously. No one would want the police to think you're a dangerous pervert, even if you knew for a fact that you were a saint.
Your videos can be used in making a documentary and showing it on local news channels in India, all over India. Apparently, it ends up creating much movement that way. Scammers need to be arrested for sure. Thanks for your effort in all this, especially mailing the previous people who have been scammed. Great move.
Hey Jim fantastic work like always . We need to call more UK pop ups / Regular Tech support numbers . It’s so horrible to see all they scammed makes me feel so sorry for the victims.. Any information to me to a kind of service that I could call UK numbers .? It’s needed that’s for sure ? But anyway thanks again for sharing this valuable information
All popular scambaiters should watch this. I feel most of the scambaiters on twitch and RUclips just do it for the money and lulz. In some scambaiting computers you're required to pay money to be actually post something in their forum or discord. Then I ask myself ... Who's the scammer ?
Of all the channels this one is the best in this field. It's fun to see jokes and tricks on scammers by other guys, but real deal and real help comes from Jim.
Hi Jim, your videos are amazing. The level of information you put in is of the highest production level ( in my humble opinion). I love how you don't get emotional when they abuse you and stay strickly on task. I am saddened to hear that the youtube banned your videos -when they let play so much abusive and ignorant crap. Keep up the good work.
Jim, as a DC operations engineer I appreciate all that you do. Thank you for keeping everyone that you do safer. Wish that i had the skills to do the same.
Just subbed and noted....now the binge watch begins. You are amazing! Keep killing these "companies." Much better than the trolls I used to watch that bait them to anger and rarely get a call center bust.

What a legend and truly nice guy you are. I'm always trying to find different ways to waste these idiots time to hopefully delay someone who hasn't encountered them getting scammed. Unfortunately I am no where near your technical prowess, so it mainly revolves around acting stupid, pretending I am doing things and occasional "accents" to keep myself entertained.
Excellent vid. A lot of great information. One thing I dont understand is M'soft must be aware of these scammers using their company to scam and have seen all the dalse web sites listed. So WTF dont they do something about it?
Ok, I know they target people who do not have much technical knowledge. So, listen. Closing these "locked" browser pages is easy. Go down to the bottom of your screen(the task bar) and put your cursor on some empty space and right click. Select: Task Manager. When it comes up find your internet browser in the list. Chrome, Firefox, Edge whatever it is you are using. Right click it, and select end task. Done.
@@VyperByteX If one wanted to be very finnicky, one could argue the punctuation could use some improvement (a missing mandatory comma, and a period ought to be replaced by a semi-colon or colon), but it's not like we are writing a thesis here. lol

These browser pop up windows, a simple ctrl + alt + Del should easily pull up the task manager to end the browser task. Its sad that people fall for this crap. Seeing how easy it is for you to locate who these people are, you would think that some kind of higher up agency would start cracking down on this stuff. In any case Jim, you are awesome! You do so much for everyone!

Exactly. Stop thinking the time of these young guys from poor areas of India is oh so valuable - it's not, you can waste 2-3 hours of their time a month, won't make a big difference to them.

LoL

Cheers!

On this site, you'll find information about all of our residential services, links to important other sites, like our Better Business Bureau profile, our shopperapproved.com profile, and our social media accounts (including Facebook, Twitter, and RUclips channel.)
Worthy of note: We always try to be upfront with customers about who we are when they call in.

After a few weeks of telling them that the FBI was tracing all my calls to find them they eventually stopped calling LOL
Thankyou for all you do Jim, keep messing with the scammers, they deserve every bit of it & please keep informing the victims, even if they don’t believe you atleast you did the right thing by trying & honestly that’s all you can do.

Jim Browning: Google should look at common behaviours with those pages and warn the user of a potential scam. Kinda like virus scanners and discovering new viruses as opposed to people.
Mu'izz Siddique
so they implement AI to determine if a website is running a tech support scam?
In the case of Google, I think that they don't have this because they're in on these scams (sort of). There are a number of ads through google for various services that will redirect you to the pop-up pages if yoy click on them, made worse by the fact that all google adds link to googleadservices, com where you are then redirected to the pop-up (or to malicious sites that try to do far worse to your system). While they're not running these scams, they are happpily linking to them, so they stand to lose if the were to block/flag them.
Basically. Or a long list of checks (at first)?
If there is a Scammer Company, then Jim should make a Counter-scam Company

He uses spyware hidden in deliberately named enticing files, that infects their systems when opened. Once in he is able to monitor their activity and compiles evidence against them.

9:54 "Anonymous tip-off" Hmmmmmm
Jim Browning deserves a Nobel prize. Like seriously
not going to lie, I read this as a Jim Sterling video and got really excited. But then I realized it wasn't but I'm still really excited.
Who do we thank God for.

"Thank god for me"
I sure do.)
I am not sure sending a link sends the right message, since the first thing people learn in IT security is "never click a link in an email, it's a scam."
And you definitely should make it more clear that the *company* is making up lies about you - as written, you are saying that the people you have tried to help are calling you a liar, and even if this is true, it's not something you should be telling people.
That way, you are giving the recipient an easy and optimal option - watching your video - first, but still portraying yourself as only wanting them to learn to protect themselves (and leaning on the authority of public or well-known resources.)
I honestly would admit that I am talking about how to manipulate people's perception of your email to better produce the desired outcome...
I knew for a fact that this wasn't true, but it's impossible not to react to it as if it is a threat (I sort of irrationally closed my browser, restarted my PC and ran anti-virus checks), and I totally understand if someone would react to it by asking these assholes for "help."
And it really is a threat to say that you'll call the cops on someone, obviously.
The Man The Myth The Legend......
All popular scambaiters should watch this. I feel most of the scambaiters on twitch and RUclips just do it for the money and lulz. In some scambaiting computers you're required to pay money to be actually post something in their forum or discord. Then I ask myself ... Who's the scammer ?
These scambaiters are probably in on the schemes then.
AHT means = Average Handling Time (Length of the call)
RPC = Rate Per Customer (in this case scammed person)
Hope it helps for future reference
Been waiting for this.
I enjoyed watching this documentary. Your videos are amazing! 👍
Im a kid but i really like you baiting the bad people
Hey jim new arrests have been made around New Delhi. Can you make video on this? The newspaper article here in Delhi says 24 people from 10 scam companies have been arrested. This is the one where they introduce themselves as microsoft technician.
Microsoft probably just paid the authorities more than the scammers could.
How, after all this time, do people STILL fall for these scammers?
They usually scam elderly
@@josephpapilson7224 soooooo people are still new to the internet, as well as these scammers gradually evolving and getting better tech. Not everyone is soo vastly intelligent like you /s
@@josephpapilson7224 do you understand sarcasm
@@josephpapilson7224 you resorting to name calling is honestly pathetic. Receive a life please
@@josephpapilson7224 dude, "are you illiterate" sureee youre asking that genuinely. Youre just a troll trying to take the piss out of me, kindly fuck off
What a legend and truly nice guy you are.
The depths they go to scam people is infuriating! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR WHAT YOU DO JIM BROWNING! YOU ROCK!
Idk why but i get a ghost busters vibe whenever I hear the outro lol
That happened to me once, I just pressed “control”+ “W” to get out
thePickle360 Or just press Esc. ;)
You better sneak & scam those scammers. Don't run away from em. Gotta stop those annoying organizations 🔫
Nice job detective. 👍🏼
All in a day's work.

What an epic legend you are Jim, whatever your real name is. Wishing you all the best in life! They should make a movie or documentary about you.
Done.
It's perfect English. If you don't understand it, then you are beyond my help.
@@VyperByteX If one wanted to be very finnicky, one could argue the punctuation could use some improvement (a missing mandatory comma, and a period ought to be replaced by a semi-colon or colon), but it's not like we are writing a thesis here. lol
Oh, I had to actually look for the missing comma. Still, if you are completely perplexed by a missing comma I'm not going to be able to help you much.
SLAV MEMEAGEDDON Ctrl+alt+delete and select ‘task manager’. Then right-click on browser (or literally everything) , and select ‘end task’.
If that doesn’t work, rather than ‘end task’ click ‘go to process’ and you’ll get into another window with some crap highlighted. Right click on already highlighted think and select ‘end process tree’ .
RedHairdo Mondatory? Comma!if-one;pocls(on!grammar)/without ‘making.any-point,he?is!a-dumb!troll. Ignore
Here hope I didn’t missed any mandatory punctuation 😳
Hahahaha bringing them down by the taxes nice!
That's how you get movement from the government on these things.
That's how they got Al Capone?
The government started going after Capone after the St. Valentine's Massacre they committed
money laundering was legal when he was alive
If a company called me claiming to be called "Solve Ninjaz" I'd tell them to grow up and hang up.
@El Filipino de Cebu what's funny is that they aren't even helpful 😂
These browser pop up windows, a simple ctrl + alt + Del should easily pull up the task manager to end the browser task. Its sad that people fall for this crap.
Seeing how easy it is for you to locate who these people are, you would think that some kind of higher up agency would start cracking down on this stuff.
In any case Jim, you are awesome! You do so much for everyone!
