Love it! I have an 06 Mega Cab. Just put side dump in front of the back tire. Ive always loved the look of side exhaust since the muscle car days! Strait pipe is the only way for a cummins!
You guys say Mega cab like it matters? Is that supposed to be a brag? What you sleeping back there? Otherwise what's the point? You can throw more crap behind the seat? The truck just becomes less fuel efficient, more weight wares down parts faster,
Potentially by removing the cat which collected some of the exhaust soot etc. when you weren't hammering it didn't leave that build up to be blown out of the tailpipe any more. I added a section of pipe where my cat was and where my muffler was and made my own 4" with stock down pipe and it rolls just as much as you can stock but less after the fact like you noticed.
You spent all that money on a cold air intake but your sucking in HOT air from the engine compartment. You only want air coming in from the outside not a mixture of outside / hot engine air.
Lol I personally feel like you should have gone with a better quality exhaust, I bought a flo pro 5 inch turbo back for my 2010 6.7 and it didn’t require any cutting to fit, it came with an extender pipe you put in if you’re putting it on a long bed. I feel like that’s a much better setup then having to cut it to fit for a short bed
I got a 06 2500, is there really a noticeable difference with the cold air intake and the silencer ring taken off for the turbo? I could definitely hear it in those shots where you rolled by the camera and what not. Can you hear it in the cab at all?
Dont waste your time and money on a cold air intake. Most of them still pull hot air from the engine bay. The stock one is great if you remove the baffle and cut holes in the bottom of the front of the air box below the filter. Then you'll be pulling direct outside air from the grill.
Crazy.... I’m in Nashville, Tennessee and emissions just hooks up code reader. Nothing else when my emissions rolls around. 05’ 2500. Sounds good tho. How do you like the cold air intake? Any noticeable difference?
Go with a low boost fueling tune and the Cummins will roll lots of coal, your smarty tuner will be no use with out the dirty tunes just an FYI but good luck brotha Cummins sounds nice 🤙🏻
As a 2007 5.9 owner how about yall dont roll coal and stop fucking it up for everyone else....Straight pipe it all you want but tune your truck correctly. Black smoke doesnt equal more power.
@@KDlGG potentially black smoke does mean more power for the 1% of people who actually modify it correctly.. the other 99% of diesels on the road that are “Tuned” are just running a hot tune with extra fuel to roll coal on stock everythinng. Do all you want i guess…. but thats why the EPA has a lawsuit on ez link right now and if its anything like the lawsuit H&S Performance had on them from the EPA They will likly get shut down as well. Going to get even harder to tune newer diesels with dumbass people screwing it up.
Cold air intake is about the biggest waste of money there is. If you take out the baffle, turbo silencer ring, and cut holes in the bottom front of the box it will pull direct cold air right from your grill. That about as good as it gets. The air has no chance to warm up before going into the Intake.
Massive tips like that don't really look good IMO. 5" is a good size 6" is pushing depending on tire and bumper. Asking it to get bashing on offroading.

Hell yea!
11:00 for cold start
The neighbors are going to love hearing that all the time lol
This is happening for my 12 valve after KDP fix and starter solenoid rebuild.
Every diesel owner gotta go with the stupidest exhaust tips. Lol never fails
Are you hating because your exhaust video only has 30 views?🤔

it doesn’t roll coal cuz the new intake which added more air, which means it’s running more lean but not by much
Yup, once we threw on the Smarty Programmer she dumps!!
Straight piped, an mine is programmed also. Rolls no coal, only reason you would be rolling coal is if your not burning fuel correctly, end of story.
I have a cold air intake and the same exhaust setup on my 02 Cummins and it still rolls coal
Sucking in hot air might make it sound a little better but no power,
@@bluntman99999 wrong. If it runs rich it will roll coal too.

The thing with old diesel trucks is that you can daily drive them. Modern Diesel engines should never be daily unless you use it for work.

I haven’t heard of that brand I’ll have to look into it thanks!
That’s funny I’m from nor cal to and thinking of doing the same for smogg 😏
Wouldn't it be easier to just move out of that state?
The rolling coal is odd lol mine rolls a lot more coal with just a muffler delete lol ..
Mine doesn’t roll any,
@@loud_at-4168 same here , no coal
Yassssss
I love your truck
I appreciate it man!!!! Thanks
What are your wheel specs mang? 🤔
All rolling coal is unburnt fuel. Your engine is burning clean and efficient.

The Silencer ring not really, but with the cold air intake you can definitely hear the difference. Also you can hear it in the cab.

Not getting enough smoke as stock sie to you back pressure dropping g on straight pipe hook up some custom tunes and you'll dump all day
Buy a FASS 165 with 150hp inejctors if you want it to dump. At that point though, better have a good tune and be looking into getting studs.
