Best plane of WW2. Most famous? No. But the best.
High firepower. Good speed, agility, armor, ok range.
I may be miss remembering but I think the P-47 had the highest victory count of the war.
Somewhat sure that this award goes to some soviet design for the allies and for all factions to some model of the 109. Most likely g-6. But without actually knowing it.
Original American I agree! The P47 is a real pride for American industry,. It doesn’t matter who designed or participated in the project, the thunderbolt is an American airplane. It has done much to give the well-deserved beating to the damn bastards who took the world into the war and killed millions of innocent people with finesses of cruelty while they thought themselves a superior race.

The trigger time that the extra ammo affords you is absolutely unbelievable. I timed it during my first flights today, 30sec or so. So meaty lmao

Finally! Been waiting for the jug before I jump on BoB. Even if she's a heavy beast she's gonna be my main aircraft. Such a fucking awesome looking machine.

ye p-47 is finaly here, so many modifications and skins, nice that they added that generick raf one and vvs
There's also a Post-paris AdA one, a Mexican AF one, and a Brazilian AF one, plus templates for bare metal and green with none, bottom, and full stripes on the forums. P-47 is loaded with skins

I hope that with Bodenplatte air combat shifts to higher altitude, with aircraft like the juggernaut, mustang, k4 and dora being designed for high altitude flight.
ah man can't wait to get my hands on this, and really looking forward to the 262, wonder how that's going to play out.
Its probably not going to be in the game, if it is it has to be rare
@@RecklesslyPessimistic it's already announced as part of battle of bodenplatte. Servers may use it as a really high tier reward plane I suppose.

Take less fuel remove two of the guns and you retain the same ammo. Also add extra ammo and you have a 60 sec trigger time. You also lighten her to the point that she can fight nicely. Her best performance weight is when she hits 35 percent fuel that however gives you only 17 min of combat time.

Wish someone would do a video on what necessary key-bindings need to be set for each new aircraft. The German planes are quite easy to operate but the P-47D is not.
Well the P-47 is pretty easy actually.
Just remember to bind the keys to interconnect the Turbocharger controls and RPM controlls with the Throttle.
Then you can just move the throttle to move all 3 (below 90% tends to be cruise with 100% being combat and then use the Boost button to enable WEP).
For cooling it has the Oil radiator and inlet-outlet cowls so those need to be bound (but they are the same controls as used by other aircraft)
though it does not overheat that easily so you dont need to open them that much.
All in all its pretty simple.

Nice vid from KotA. Why 300m gun convergance instead of 400m?
On wing guns its hard to hit targets if you are clearly below the convergence. Selectinng a lower convergence makes hitting easier.
@@SheriffsSimShack i've never had that problem with th A8 but maybe i'm just hitting them mostly with the wing root and cowl guns
The guns on the fw are packet more tightly packed and I use 400m on fws

Need to work on your .50 cal accuracy. But, then again with the extra ammo upgrade it feels like you got infinite ammo lol
Yeah I had no plans to bring a lot of the ammo home
Sometimes wasted ammo at least brings some PANIC!! And with that, mistakes.
Bringing more ammo allows you to make more "maybe I'll get lucky" shots, and put enough lead into the air and you will. P-47 weighs so much in the first place it's not like it substantially affects handling xD
the only thing that sicks really is there is far more people in europe that play so the time difference sucks
I was there too. But Jug is no, no for me. :P K-4 and Mk IX much better imo.
Depends on how it's flown. High and fast? Lethal AF. Germans now have serious competition at high alt
