Anybody that has to do the stone off is not going to win the competition. It takes too much out of the contestants and the next day they don't have a chance to win.

True, Brian was by half a point though, he did great, could easily have been 1st place if just a single thing had gone slightly different. It's a good sign that he didn't need to chase for third place or anything. Biggest surprise is Mateusz.

Pavlo Kordiyaka recently won Europe's Strongest Man, beating Novikov by some margin.. And he just won a group with Tom Stoltman and Bobby Thompson in it. Not sure the events in the final suit him as well as those in the heats, but he deserves consideration.

Tom did much better than Luke though. There’s a spreadsheet that tracked all the scores across all groups. Tom did the 3rd best while Luke was 15th out of 30

And going into the finals, Tom is going to feel the pressure. My prediction is that Tom has to get some results early, or he bombs the rest of the events.

I really got interested in the strongman competitions a few years ago. Then I realized that they all must be using terrifying amounts of steroids and now this sport is so meh to me. I would really want to see a 100% clean competition, just to see what are the natural strength limits of a genetically gifted man, who just eats right and lifts weights, but I guess that's naive of me.
You would struggle to find anyone at the top of any sport not using some sort of enhancement, for strength, endurance, healing. So your choice is either watch sport or not, up to you.

Most people that say that Brian's grp was weak are just people that think the compony want him to win his 5th title for good ratings ROFL , he has to face the finals still rofl which they don't understand lol it's not over lol .
