John Deere has released its 9 series balers this year and they are looking better then the famous 8 series which were known to go the distance for sure.
Thank you, very informative as I am considering this baler. Can you tell me what tractor you are using in the video? The model and horsepower? Thanks...
Question(s): Why did you not go with the net wrapper? I can understand not wanting the kicker (I have one on my 468, but I lock it out 99% of the time) but here in TX nearly everyone wants their hay wrapped, not string tied. Mine came with the "high flotation" tires, and although I wouldn't have paid extra for them, the dealership made me a good deal and I kinda like them because they cause a lot less damage to the field. Do your customers not prefer net wrapped bales?
Actually I like the wrap but my clients dont, the hay freezes up here and the net wrap get frozen to the bale and hard to do, the twine is easier for them to cut off and horse clients are pickie=)
love it! But how do you afford all of this? you get almost brand new equipment, you don't have a big farm 80-90 something acres (one if you're vid) Do you have a other job or something?
mnmike2012 Sure did, the best price for the shopping we did was Krone, but if you factor strong parts, excellent warranty and closest support and reliability Deere was there for us
mnmike2012 We actually shopped a few brands the New Holland BR 7060, (I still have my families 276 hayliner and love it) the 7060 was the similar to what we have bought at Deere but the cost was 20$K without the optional tires, the better diamond belts, and electronics in cab , we didnt mind spending the added $4K for the deere when we considered the tires came the ramps included and resale, the part access, the electronics included. The net wrap would cost more on both machines and yes we love it, but the horse people that buy our bales dont always love it, so we passed on that option and we make ours little fuzzier then=)
We actually have a few side jobs we work on the farm other then corn crops, hay crops and gardening sales, we run a horse blanket wash and repair business here out of the farm house and we run facebook page and aquarium education page....reefdvms, check it out on facebook
1000 lbs 4ft bale? We have been arguing with Deere about ours because we can't make 1000 dry bale when they advertise 1100 dry bale at 5 ft and 1700 lbs wet bale
we got a jd 459E string baler and i love it
Thank you
I like ur knew tractor
4x4 outta that thing is maybe 500 on good day. Mega wide baler packs tighter and still maybe get 900 in a 4x5. Great baler for small operation.
I love vids like this! Keep it up!
QUESTION : can someone please explain the mechanism of the crankarm to lower the teeth for pick up mechanism?

why are you baling them so small?

new Holland is first in hay equip
Did you look at the new Hollands? I think they make the best balers for the price

John Deere seems way to overpriced on round balers, but I suppose if you get a stripped down JD they might be reasonable, Didn't you want NetWrap?

why so slow?

There’s no way a 4x4 bale is just under 1k pounds. My 4x5’s averaged about 785
Why u going so slow
New Holland would at least go faster and not miss picking up the crop
😂😂😂
why are you baling them so small?
