So basically what I'm seeing is.. for the regular battles when you are Clive.. it's like Devil May Cry mixed with Final Fantasy XV. But in the Eikon fight's it's literally Asura's Wrath and this brings it all to bare. I love this game so much.
That fight reminds me of Asura vs Wyzen

don't forget how they use QTEs. they basically use it as transitions between boss phases, or as "victory laps" towards the end of a fight once you get the boss down to 10% or 5% HP. it's more of a cool reward than an actual test.
FF15 players: “The fight against Titan is EPIC!”

The titan fight in FF15 really doesnt even begin to scrape the quality of this one.

Man, imagine my surprise when we had a round 2 with titan even after beating his giant form which ended with furious punching straight out of asura's wrath.

They’re already releasing 7.0 in 14 in less than a year. These devs genuinely have never stopped and still care. The fact they’ve been developing this game alongside 14 since Heavensward shows that.

Fun fact: Hiroshi Takai, one of the director of the game, said in an interview of FFXVI that the God of War series was a huge inspiration for him. Which explains where he got the idea for the battle between Ifrit and Titan Lost

The moment at 27:22 where you spam square is the greatest feeling of adrenaline rush I have felt in a long time and the perfect way to end a 30 min fight. Astounding

It’s unbelievable how in depth the combat is even beyond most final fantasy games but then the added Asuras wrath level kaiju battles makes this game just beyond epic

People may disagree with how they would rate this as a Final Fantasy game, but it happens to be one of if not the best Kaiju fighting games ever. If only we got a Godzilla game half as good as this.

Ifrit size is like 1/10 of titan though,but i do realize something about eikon healing ability is that when they transform into a larger form like titan lost form,your healing ability is no longer there,once u lost a hand or a leg u will lose it for good unlike normal eikon form u can regenerate limb if u lose it
I think it's because Titan Lost is basically just TItan wearing a giant mecha made out of an entire mountain. Kinda like he's just controlling the rocks instead of it being a part of him.
The real Titan was still inside it was all just earth he controlled with the earth crystal just like ifrit did with his fist/gloves of stone

Thats one thing I dont get. Dominants were supposed to have regeneration since Clive as Ifrit regenerated a hand vs Garuda but Hugo didnt. Or does the eidolon(eikon) healing not apply to human hosts

They aren’t really able to use their eikons either without going berserk when clive takes it except dion who is a chad

I’m still processing what I just experienced. That fight must have taken years alone to develop. I’m not even done with the game yet and I can’t imagine how they top this. I want to cry just from how many nostalgic nods from my childhood I experienced in a single sitting of one game.
i hope you're finished now, i just finished the game yesterday, i couldnt play it on release because i was hospitalised but holy shit i burned through the game in like 4 weeks, i absolutely fucking love it, GOTY for sure and definitely my top 3 games OAT. Im gonna 100% it now.

This entire game was just an absolute masterpiece, I wouldn't blame anyone if they thought Garuda was their favourite boss because every Eikon Boss was absolutely incredible in this game
@@danielsmithiv1279 I mean, I never experienced the original GOW Trilogy, I only played the most recent ones starting with 2018. I have seen videos on RUclips though, those fights were mighty impressive considering the gaming hardware available back in those days though

One of the BEST boss fights I’ve played in nearly 30 years of gaming. The battle mechanics, the music gets you hyped and the emotional satisfaction of ending someone that took so many lives. Hugo Kupka is no more!!!

When I bought this game, I thought the swearing was going to be loose and not relevant to the situation the characters are in.
Thankfully, my expectations were blown out of the sky by Bahamut
This boss fight is nothing short of a masterpiece,where to even begin the scenery is amazing,the fight itself is so legendary that ive never seen anyhing so incredible since my first time expiercing god of war 3 when it first came out,and also the music is just perfect,the way the beat drops when clive says "im coming for you kupka" is just too perfect,the develepors did an amazing job definetly the best final fantasy game ever and thats saying alot considering that i havent finished the game yet, definetly my vote for game of the year,if spiderman2 doesnt beat.
