Typhon usually looks goofy in other FF games, but in this game he's downright creepy, also i love Ramuh's theme

I couldn't believe they redesigned Typhon to be so freaky looking and not at all like that pink slimer ghost thing from previous titles. I got shivers down my spine when I fought him because of how eldritch looking SE made him!

The scale of the demon wall move must be massive
Ifrit is around 20 meters tall, and the Demon Wall seems to be several times taller than him, making it larger than something like the wall in Attack on Titan (for a point of reference). And Typhon is not only able to create it instantaneously, but it MOVES, and he can spam it.
When Ifrit is charging up hellfire i recommend NOT dodging because you get alot more buildup to the final hit. I did it accidentally and it was pretty sick
Played this fight yesterday and did this by accident and your right it is more badass
Playing through this I was like “Ifrit is going for the spirit bomb!” And then they did the Goku vs Kid Buu finish to DBZ. Absolutely incredible nod
That was wild this game got so many anime references it's crazy
That's just how "hellfire" looks when ifrit uses it. It's not a nod to the spirit bomb.

@@nickbusker725 This boss fight titles songs are respectively 'Hamartia' during the 1st stage (later in the game we can hear it again when fighting the Liquid Flame Boss) , and 'Catacecaumene' on 2nd stage.
100/10 fight, this is one of the most epic battles I've ever played
I love when the music at 13:18 syncs up with the incoming wall attack. It feels so satisfying to slide-dodge in sync with that synth 💯👌🔥
I love the Hellfire realization as well. You can actually see the gears turning in Typhon's head. He waits for the smoke to clear, then his gaze trails up to Ifrit's face, then up his arm, then up...and up...and ohshit.
All boss fights are legendary

This was definitely inspired by Lilith in Evangelion. Bit surprise hardly anyone pointing that out but I'm guessing many current gamers were too young to remember.
Totally true, they also mentioned that the game uses game of thrones as and inspiration, and titan was inspired by attack on titan
I have a strong feeling whoever created that fight specially the last section when Ifrit was unleashing his Hellfire limit break reminded me so much of DBZ Goku using the spirit bomb haha
I just did that fight, was amazing game gets better and better

It’s bc he’s unique in the sense he absorbs the other Eikon’s essence/power after beating them, he only gets stronger over the game just from the sheer amount of collective strength he’s got in his single body. Other Eikons cannot absorb other Eikons irrc, unless it’s a manual exchange as with Jill and Clive
"How many more can there be!?!?" Seems to be a running joke for Clive. And he says it like he doesn't have the ability to annihilate enemies by the dozens.

@@papindebele8733t still doesn't have one, since the OST will only be officially released on July 15. But there's a channel called Mundus (@MundusFate) that currently have one of Typhon's themes, just search for "FFXVI Typhon Theme"

I fucking love this. As a fan of both final fantasy,y genuine reaction is the WOOOOO charlie meme. This isn't a "ripoff of dbz" this is a fucking piece of art. It is one of the best game series giving homage to one of the best anime series out of respect. And it goes harder than my drunk uncle in a gender neutral sauna.

I screwed up on the second to last cinematic action because I was button mashing square….. HOWEVER, I redeemed myself at the last one by vanquishing Typhon 😊

@@MK-fm3ln tbh it's pretty easy even without the rings once you get the timing right. The parry timing still trouble's me sometimes but you don't really get punished for it unlike sekiro same with the dodging.

FF14 also used EDM sometimes. Most of the music is classic, so this is an exception

This game is mostly movie with boss fights. It has awesome graphics but gameplay is subpar with a bunch of light effects. I’m a animation artist so it’s tough for me to just accept anything just because the masses love it and the main character looks like a remake of Dante from Devil May Cry early games. The bosses however are beautifully designed

The gameplay is far from sub par. Not for his preference is not the same as fact. Elden ring for example is loved by millions and the gameplay, which is different from this. Obviously for those people tastes, it isn’t sub par. Lastly, his comment about Clive looking like early Dante, lol. No he does not. Looks good, but in my opinion the music doesn't fit with the fight, it makes me think of fighting robots in a laboratory in FF7
I think it matches because we fighting something completely strange and beyond our comprehension, so synth music it apt imo

It's certainly different from rest of the game but yeah, we're in anime zone here, other worldly.
I'm impressed, even with the gameplay, it looks fun although. There only a few combos for aeons which is (weaksauce). Neat cinematics cut into actual gameplay, reminds me of Ninja Gaiden. So, I've seen it before (nothing new). Besides the story which is probably the only reason I will buy it.

You can Actually do combos with eikon abilities. Your base abilities is tied to your eikonic abilities. So when you master ability you master the eikon as well. You haven't seen anything yet
