Yo bro u just spoke to my heart. I recently got my dot and mc and was having trouble finding a rental truck and then while I was chasing paper in another situation, I ran into a older guy with 5 box trucks who is getting out of the business. He was 3 mechanic and tire shops and does not want to deal with drivers and all that jazz anymore. The trucks are older 2 2002 2006 2008 and one 2017 hino but he is a mechanic so all the trucks run A1. The numbers he gave me was so crazy, I know he does not understand how much these trucks are really worth. We have a mutual business friend who knows the whole situation so everything is factual. So now, I’m looking to buy one truck from him, go over the road and buy up the rest of them. I can start a real fleet with a low number. 3 of the trucks can be paid off with 1 month otr or Amazon. So now my whole mindset has changed from renting to owning so all the money minus insurance and gas will be mine and maintenance fund. So when I hire a driver, it won’t hurt because his fee will be the same I was gonna spend on rental fee and mileage from the rental company. It man thanks! I needed to hear this and I needed my wife to hear the same vision I was telling her. You literally had a lot of the same points I did. I’m leaving a good job to do this but I’m confident. Keep up the good work

There is going to be some hard reality when you start. You better have some extra funds save up. Insurance, maintenance, vehicle registration, and all types of start up cost startling out will cut into your cost. Unfortunately people on RUclips are not paying attention to the downside information of owning a box truck. Three months out and we still have not made a significant profit.
I came from the streets, almost lost my life by getting up to a 65 yr sentence. Things went on with my case, long story short my 65 yrs turned to 1 yr which again turned to 16 days in jail. I got my 1st drivers license at 28, I got my CDL at 29. I went from unloading trucks to driving them. Now I own my own trucking company and my own truck. Getting my CDL changed my life and gave me control over my life. I went from making $235 a week working a warehouse job to making $15k to $30k a month in my own truck. Transportation is a beautiful business because your race and religion doesn’t matter. All that matters is can you get the freight there legally and intact. I’m glad to see anyone enter into the transportation industry. It’s enough money for everyone.

Thank you brother. You are God sent. I have been driving rigs since 1996 and I have filled for my authority twice over the last 25 years. At one time I bought reefers and the second time I was hauling HHGs. This year 2022 I want to use my experience to build a hybrid company that hauls freight in back hauls to Atlanta and does local moves all day every day as they are crazy profitable. What I like about the straight jobs is that your truck has super nice fuel efficiency. You are able to save tons of money. On days when I am not moving folks in and out of Atlanta I can haul whatever comes my way. I love the video. You made my day. God Bless.

i work for a brokerage right now & seeing this side of the business and learning strategies how to book/negotiate loads. i’m saving up to start my own company. if you got hustle and fully committed to making it work you can make a ton of money in this with no barrier to entry besides the initial startup costs.
