Not sure you’ll see this but, you make an absolutely fantastic video! Simple yet easy to follow, I so very much appreciate the volume warning for the blow dryer lol! This video is exactly what I was looking for! Thanks so much
thank you so much for doing this video. The sides are what i can't seem to get right. I like the tip about pressing them down while they are warm. thanks again
Thank you. I'm no m&p expert so I don't know for certain, but I do not believe these are appropriate for long term storage of melt and pour soap. If I'm not mistaken, that type of soap needs to be completely wrapped so that it doesn't develop glycerine beads or dry out. I've recently switched to using smell through shrink wrap film. The type that requires an impulse sealer. That may be closer to what you're looking for. Amy Warden (Great Cakes Soap Works) has a demo video you can check out.
Thank you for this video Kia. I have a stack of shrink wrap bands that I got from Brambleberry and they are too small for my soap. Didn't want to cut my soap, like the chunky ones. Do you use stock paper? I thanked you in my last video for the information on the raw food. Has helped a lot. Take care...Erin
cool, thanks for sharing. If you use a regular heatgun you'll heatshrink all your bars in afraction of the time, without all the noise and without the need to pause for a 'cool down'
Fabulous video, thank you. I have tried the links to your label page and neither of them work... "page not found"... Are you able to provide another tested link? thank you, Kim
Very nice labels! I could not hear what program you used. Would you let me know? I heard you say something about using text boxes. Thanks! I think shrink wrapped soap looks so much more professional than paper wrapped. I like them both though :)
Awesome. Have you thought of using sticker paper ! You can get it on eBay, it’s where I get mine from. I get my supplies from Aussie Soap Supplies (partner of Bramble Berry)
Thank you so much for all your videos. I have had problem with the sent I use in my soap weakening after the 4 week cure date. Is their any company you know of that carry fragrance oils & essential oils that still maintain their strong scent after the soap cures? I would really appreciate your help. This is the only thing holding me back from a great bar of soap.- Thanks in advance for your response.
Sabrine Poyser There are several but a good place to start is Natures Garden: www.naturesgardencandles.com/I purchase the majority of my fragrances from them. Make sure to read the reviews to see how a particular scent performs in CP before purchasing. Happy Soaping!
Sabrine Poyser young living essential oils are what I use. The smells lasts for a very long time and is very fragrant even after many months. Highly suggest!
Thanks for leaving this up! I know it's older but do you remember what size wraps those are? How much bigger than our soap dimensions would you suggest. There are so many I'm not wanting to get it wrong and waste money I could be putting into my soaps. Thank you
I purchased those bands from Wholesale Supplies Plus. You need to measure the dimensions of your soap because it's really about whether or not the bar will fit. If you make bars that are on the large side, you can always buy the bigger bags and then cut them down to size.
I am new at soap making and I have read where you need to package your soap in something that will allow it to breath and I also read where if you dont package it at all then over time you will lose fragrance. So is this way a good way for both problems? Thanks!
Love your video. How thick is the shrink wrap? I am about to order some myself, but it is pretty expensive in my country, so don't want to order the wrong one. I hope it's ok to ask :-)
I get my fonts from Fontspace.com. I do all of my label designing in Word. I create my logos using Illustrator. The same fonts that I have in Word carry over into Illustrator :0)
I design and print some of my own through Avery. I just go to www.avery.com I don’t log in or create a account, I design my own using some of their templates then save as a PDF to my computer and print it out. Saves money by not needing to buy the actual software and you can save the label to your computer then if you need more you just go to your file in your computer and print out as needed. I bought a business card holder book and I use it for storing my labels. Keeps them protected.
Where did you say you get your template from! Your labels are awesome! I may try this and save me some money :)))))your soaps look so pretty! I am in the phase of how I want to make my label!
I made my own template using Microsoft Word. If you have word, you can download my template for free and customize it for your soaps: www.petalsbathboutique.com/FREE-Templates---Images.html
+Angie G Here's the link: www.petalsbathboutique.com/FREE-Templates---Images.htmlIf that still doesn't work for you, let me know and I can email you the word document :)
Tracey Birkholz I don't make this size soap anymore, but they were about 4.7 - 5.0 oz and the 102mm x 102mm perforated bands from Wholesale Supplies plus were the perfect fit for them.
Since most melt & pour soap has that high amount of glycerin in it, it tends to sweat which causes glycerin beads to form on the surface. So to avoid that, it's best to completely seal in plastic.
+Jaime Laffoon If this were melt and pour soap, there would be a risk of melting. These particular soaps are made using the cold process method (from scratch) so there is no danger of melting. I've shrink wrapped M&P soap before though. It can be done, you just have to be careful to not overheat and I wouldn't recommend shrink wrap bands for M&P. This type of soap, in the video, needs to breath so open ended bands are fine, but M&P is just the opposite. It generally needs to be completely wrapped to prevent glycerin beads from forming.
Not sure you’ll see this but, you make an absolutely fantastic video! Simple yet easy to follow, I so very much appreciate the volume warning for the blow dryer lol! This video is exactly what I was looking for! Thanks so much
Glad it was helpful!
I love this! I imagine you can smell the soaps from the sides too!
Thank you so much for this demonstration. My belly bands just arrived and forgot how to do it. Nice clear demo.
Great video! I'm so mind blown because I just discovered shrink wrap for my art prints. 😊
This was so helpful - thanks! It all looks very professional.
Beautifully done! Thank you for sharing, this is going to be a huge help for our soaps.
I know it seems stupid but I really appreciate this video! you soap looks so cute!
we have smart machine,do you interest?
Exactly! lol Packaging soap can easily take up an entire morning.
Thanks a lot for your creative idea I have learnt how to seal my bar soaps and other organic products.
It's actually a shrink wrap *band* from wholesale supplies plus and if I'm not mistaken, they only have the one size for bar soap.
thank you so much for doing this video. The sides are what i can't seem to get right. I like the tip about pressing them down while they are warm. thanks again

I cannot believe you print off the labels using MS Word. That is great! I was going to go to a professional company to do that but there is no need!

I get my supplies from Aussie Soap Supplies (partner of Bramble Berry)
Hello, such awesome soaps you make and such creativity! Can you also use these shrink bands with melt and pour soap?
Hello! Thank you for the tip! Where did you go to make your labels for your soap that you put on before your wrapped them?
I used Microsoft Word. There's free template on my website:
www.petalsbathboutique.com/FREE-Templates---Images.html
What size shrink wrap are you using? Thank you for this video👍🏽
I'm not sure but they are the standard soap bands from Wholesale Supplies Plus :-)

Lovely soaps and labels by the way
Can you still smell your soap through the shrink wrapping ?
Thank you. With this type of shrink wrap, you can smell the soap through the open ends. The wrap itself isn't smell through.
Thanks for leaving this up! I know it's older but do you remember what size wraps those are? How much bigger than our soap dimensions would you suggest. There are so many I'm not wanting to get it wrong and waste money I could be putting into my soaps. Thank you

Hi! thanks for posting this video. what size shrink wrappers are you using for this bar?
You're welcome. I'm glad it was helpful.

My pleasure!
Would you consider doing a video showing how you used word to make the labels?
Thanks! 😃
Kool! Do u have a link to those bags? Or the size.
So helpful where do you get your shrink wrap from?
+nyc jp These bands came from Wholesale Supplies Plus :0)
Love your video. How thick is the shrink wrap? I am about to order some myself, but it is pretty expensive in my country, so don't want to order the wrong one. I hope it's ok to ask :-)
Good job. Forgive my ignorant question, but could you please tell me what you use to create logo's and fonts to put into your MS Word?
I get my fonts from Fontspace.com. I do all of my label designing in Word. I create my logos using Illustrator. The same fonts that I have in Word carry over into Illustrator :0)
I don't make soap but love the label. Could you re-post the template.

You can get this shrink wrap from Wholesale Supplies Plus
Thank you for the great tutorial :)
lovely tutorial!
Very helpful & informative
Thank you so much for the advice.
does anyone know if you need to shrink wrap when using pour and melt or is this only for cold press?
Since most melt & pour soap has that high amount of glycerin in it, it tends to sweat which causes glycerin beads to form on the surface. So to avoid that, it's best to completely seal in plastic.
What type of plastic wrap is that?
Very nice, thank you,
Thank you!
How can we buy some soap. Please
How to dry the soap for asmr
Thanks so much for sharing!
Lol. It's definitely the more economical way to go for sure!
As far as I know, they only have one size for the bands.
Very helpful; thanks!
Will that melt the soap at all?
