🟥 DISCLAIMER: I make these videos to share my own personal methods and techniques for how I make cold process soap. These videos are not intended as tutorials for beginners. The content I create is meant for those who already have an understanding of cold process soap making. Cold process soapmaking involves working with sodium hydroxide (NaOH, also referred to as lye). Lye and raw soap can permanently damage your eyes and burn your skin. When making soap, you should already know and practice lye safe handling procedures and always wear protective gear during the entire soapmaking process, even while cleaning up. I hope you find watching my videos helpful or entertaining. However, due to the many variables that can affect a particular batch of soap, if you do try any of my methods or techniques that I use in my videos, I cannot be held liable or responsible for your results.

Hi! I forgot to include the text description for my oven process. I’ve included the details in previous videos, but in case you’re new to my channel, here’s how I oven process a batch to make sure it goes through gel phase:
    • preheat the oven to it’s lowest temp (mine is 170ºF)
    • TURN THE OVEN OFF as soon as it's preheated
    • place the soap in the oven & leave overnight
    • leave the oven light on for about 3 to 4 hours (the bulb helps hold the heat a bit longer)
Also wanted to mention that if you’re soaping at warmer temperatures than I do, you could probably just insulate the batch in a towel or blanket on the counter and still achieve a complete gel without the oven processing.
Thanks so much for watching! -Holly :)
