Hi Holly, I always grind my organic oats myself on my Vitamix . I use one ounce of honey by weight per pound of oil and never had a problem, no refrigerator no freezer and always goes to gel, but my aloe Vera, cucumber and coconut milk soap always overheads and cracks , weird!! Love your videos, pure excellences! Thank you so much

A few bars of naturally scented soap, centered on what's appealing to your olfactory senses, can be fragrant enough to replace a spray or incense. I've used soaps like this for decades... I made soap for the first time today using your recipe! I didn't realize how fast the mixture hardens once you add the lye, so I left for a minute and it was solid xD I had to scoop it into the mold, so hopefully it doesn't have too many air bubbles, but I had so much fun! I added oats and apricot powder on top for decoration. Thank you!!!

Hi, beautiful soap. Huge thanks for the hack with the honey. When I began making soap, I added it at trace, but I never felt confident that it dispersed properly. Then I tried adding it to the lye solution, only to end up with a red soap! This method is a life-saver. Also, I wanted to achieve a honey-colored soap, so I used 2 parts goat’s milk with 1 part brewed coffee, and it worked out great.

I've made soap using a similar recipe and similar steps (except I've kept the soap in the freezer a little longer and added colloidal oats at light trace). When I cut the soap with a knife a few days later, it's smooth part of the cut but breaks off toward the end of cutting a bar. Disappointing and looks bad. I add very little Sodium Lactate. Any thoughts and suggestion would be so appreciated.
I am just a beginner at making goat milk soap. I have noticed when i cut the soap, it looks great. But the day after there are tiny pieces of something in the soap, would these be proteins from the milk? I soap at low temps and make sure the lye is completely dissolved. Should i be straining the milk/lye mixture before i add it to oils? I have watched many videos and not many do this step. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I love whole milk soaps! There's such a better creamy lather and I think this would smell good! Thank you Holly for sharing your videos. I tried grinding the whole oats down real fine, but I find it easier just to get the oat flour from the grocery store 😉. I just made and cut an oat milk soap, added some oat extract and camomile extract and I can't wait to use it. If the two mixtures aren’t around 80 degrees Fahrenheit does that mess with the process when you mix them? I’m curious what you would do if it was too warm or too cool; what are those ideal temperatures? Thanks.

at the end when you use the soap calculator how do you know which % of ingredients you put in? it said 38% oil and 20% shea etc... How would I know? I have a scale but will it tell me percentages? This is my very first time ever making soap and detergent. after years of suffering from skin issues and chronic post nasal drip, I wanted to try going healthier non tox life. Can I skip the fragrance? I feel like that's the stuff I'm trying to get away from. Or are those oils safe? TY for this video! Just added everything to my amazon cart to start this process

Do you find a lot of difference in partial water replacement with goat milk compared to full water replacement? Thank you
