    Hi. hi. I have a question to ask you. I haven't flown in months. with my Inspire 1 and now I find the batteries in hibernation that don't charge me anymore!! Do you know how I can solve? I SEARCHED THE NET BUT I CAN'T FIND ANY SOLUTIONS. I CAN'T BELIEVE THERE ARE NO SOLUTIONS TO DO!!!

    Interesting about your batteries still alive.. But I got a Drone Phantom 3 from Rammable sale Church. I tried to charge two batteries but it was still low at one flash overnight. One thing: controller batteries already look perfect.. How it solves the problem of two batteries still dead. I tested the light on one flash not full yet. Should I replace it? Let me know Thanks

    I have this problem . The battery has 3 times all the time charged. I charged and I fly it but again I have low voltage. What can I do?

    What about loss in capacity? I have a couple tb48 batt that only hold a capacity of 4600mah instead of the 5700. This is at 40 charge cycles for one and 42 for the other. Is this typical?

      @AGBountiful  4 года назад +1

      I'm not sure if that's typical or not, but the older the battery the less they tend to hold a charge. I've had some newish LiPos with other drones go bad after only being used a few times because they got old and were stored with a low charge. So if the batteries are old, even if you haven't cycled them much, there is a chance they won't hold as much of a charge.

    Why is this on alphagraphics website?

    I have had the same problem now that I'm aware I won't fly on less then full or fresh one

      You can do it... I just wouldn't recommend it. haha

      I think with each new iteration of DJI products they improve the technology for batteries and everything else. Welcome to the wide world of drones! It's awesome just fly safe, responsible, and have fun!

    Good tip! But some People advice to not fly below 3,6V. What is your recommendation about minimum battery voltage?

    • @AGBountiful

      As soon as I get the first warning for low battery (with the default low battery warning settings) I land it. But I tend to be a bit more cautious that some people out there. LOTS of pilots run them longer and push the limits without any problems.

    This just happened to me. Batteries sitting around tried to fly. I was lucky i was able to bring it back in time. I read somewhere that after sitting around you should drain them but I don't even know how that's possible

    • @AGBountiful
      @AGBountiful  8 лет назад

      One of the most simple ways to drain the batteries is to take the props off and just let the inspire 1 motors spin. The batteries automatically discharge after sitting for a set number of days. I believe default is 10 days. I always store my batteries drained. Not down to 0% but at about 25 to 30%. So basically when the Inspire 1 starts giving you low battery warnings when flying I bring it in. I don't fly every day so they end up in storage somewhat frequently. So far my batteries seem to be doing great after owning them for over a year.

      Cool. Doesn't that put uneccesary wear on the rotors?

    • @AGBountiful
      @AGBountiful  8 лет назад

      I suppose it might put a TINY bit of wear on them. I can't imagine it would really have any negative effects on your inspire 1, but if you want you could put the props on and actually fly it instead. Flying it will actually drain the batteries MUCH faster anyway. When I finish a shoot before I run out of charge on my batteries (which rarely happens) I keep flying around until it's drained to the 30% sometimes that means taking it home and practicing figure eights and whatnot in the field by my house.

      Please do NOT store your batteries at 30%, this is very bad & will kill them eventually.
      Fully charge the battery after usage and let it be, after 10 days (default, adjustable) it will discharge automatically to the BEST level for storage (50-60%)
      See the Inspire manual for more info.
      P.S. keep the antennas of your remote parallel for best range

      Thanks for the headsup! Good to know! I'll have to go back and read up on that part of the manual again and add some annotations to the video.
      I've found leaving them on a full charge and letting them auto discharge works great but often gives "false" readings thinking the battery levels are MUCH higher than they actually are (similar to what I show in this video but often even more dramatic). I've seen a few people take off get a little ways away from themselves and suddenly realize their bird is needing to land which can be scary. I've started to make sure I'm good hovering around for a little bit nearby before going too far out. Always have to fly on a fresh charge for sure.

      Just a jump cut, cutting out extra talking that didn't really add to the video.

    WTH is wrong, 3.7v on a lipo is pretty dead, not 50%.

    I just flew in 18% no issues till 3 mins left

    • @AGBountiful
      @AGBountiful  6 лет назад

      Vass Yeah I’ve pushed it pretty far before. You’ll want to charge fairly soon after you get a battery that low. LiPos that sit low for too long can cause damage to the battery. I just had a racing quad LiPo have an issue with this where I forgot to charge it after I flew it to a low charge and the voltages were too low for my charger to charge it. Had to “bump” the battery charge and then fortunately got it working again. But just in general running low batteries is always risky.
