Great hike! Thanks for the video with info on parking and the Bronson (Batman) cave..."bring plenty of water if you go", spot on advise as there is NO SHADE after the first 1/4 mile! Thanks again for all of your informative videos Josh!
I love all your videos and you can do repeat videos and I would still love everyone of them. I love anything LA and I am excited to move there. I love seeing everything California has to offer. You have to admit it is pretty darn nice there .
I lived in California until I was 8 and ever since I left I wanted to move back, finally moved there again 15 years later and it's still my favorite place to be.
Great Video for those that havent done it before, this is a must do for sure. One hell of a cardio workout, breakfast at the beachwood cafe afterwards highly recommended.
I was there last week on vacation in LA, it was awesome😍 We did a lot of things, I wish I could’ go all the way up there, hopefully next time 🤞🏼 it’s beautiful🥰
Finally did this walk this week, after hiking Yosemite Falls and Nevada Falls, this felt somewhat a leisure stroll !!!! till the last bit getting up to the top. Also got to witness an idiot jumping the fence to have the police turn up instantly and the police helicopter come in. Lucky for the guy the police let him go, if he left the area straight away. Capped off an amazing weeks of hikes. Thanks for your videos
@@californiathroughmylens Absolutely, im from the east coast n get to visit CA a few times a yr. So, your videos give some great ideas for hiking n seeing the real beauty of CA n not the asphalt jungle.
Could not believe how many ways you can get to this sign. We went with a friend in Glendale and she took us from the carousel to the old zoo to Bee Rock and then I think on the North trail and then a really long way back. We must have batted 1.000 I guess because we had no haze that day. Fortunately for you, it looks like you are relatively local. Not that you're looking to watch a video of a hike you do all the time, but I made one. Be well and be safe. Love getting California ideas from your channel.
I want to say after watching this video me and my wife and her friend took on this hike today. I think you undersold the last push to the top. It was the hardest because you are tired from the rest of the hike and it’s pretty steep. However just like the video stated it was worth the trip and a great workout.
@@tanvirkaisar7245 you want to search brush canyon trail. It will be on canyon Rd. You can park anywhere along canyon rd and there are 3 parking lots to chose from right before the start of the trail as well. And yes the trail is still open. If you are going to go all the way up to the sign plan to be there for 3-4 hours and bring plenty of water. I took 32oz and really needed 64oz. Try and go early for the most shade and coolest part of the day.
@@Dragonsbreathcreationz the Batcave is at the bottom of the hill way down below. You have to go to Bronson Park. Park there and you can go to the Batcave it's about a 10-minute walk.
Maybe I missed it in your narration, but where exactly is that last view point? Great channel btw! Followed it for my mini road trip along the coast a couple of years back.
Hey I don't suppose you would be able to give directions or maybe provide a map that just takes someone from the beginning of the walking trail (near the bat cave) to the place near the water tower with the nice view? Thanks much.
How bad is it if you have acrophobia? I've hiked up to Griffith but it took me several times and I try not to look at the views because they trigger me more.
I wish we could hike naked on that trail there should be places where people can hike naked and really enjoy nature feeling the sun on your skin in the fresh air wow that would be much better in LA
Thanks for the suggestion, that would be a fun video to make. I mainly just hold the camera up with a wider lens on it 16-35 f4 from Sony and it gets me in the frame pretty well.
Been 2 the sign about 4 times. That side road lets you get the typical tourist photo where it looks like you’re standing next to the sign from the side. The other route up the paved road gets you above the sign. Can’t get in front.
Yep! There were still a bunch of people and cars when we drove out. I have heard that they shut it close to sunset though so I didn't want to chance it.
I meet so many tourists everyday and it's all like they were given the same very short, uninspired list. Thanks for the tip, I will have to check out Beachwood Cafe!
Off to do this hike today with the family. cool bonus! Those caves! A little hazy - but I’m sure it will still be epic. Thanks for posting.
Beautiful hike. Will have to try that someday

Pretty steep hiking (you are in great shape!), but well worth it! Thank you for this.
It is pretty steep and the sun can be brutal in the summer. That's how I did it the first time I went and I wouldn't want to do that again

When I go there I park right above Lake Hollywood near that dog park. Then it's only about a 45-minute walk to the sign.

I'd like to see a video on the equipment you use for your videos. Especially while filming yourself. Do you use selfie sticks or what?

What were all those locks on the fence. What's the story behind them?
Couples do it to signify their relationship and make a memory. There is a famous bridge in France or Italy that does this as well.
How do I get I get in Front of the sign though?
