I m going to go and check out a 2007 fireblade and its my first big big bike ' what should i look out for ?! engine wise ?! from what i heard the engine is reliable and im buying it with 14k on it .. so fairly low ! ? some tips thanks
That's exactly what I did. I had a black and silver 2002 954, now have a red and black 06 1000RR. Truth be told, I think I like the 954 better. It's more nimble, quicker steering, a little more rowdy, and certainly have more comfort and convenience. I put over 60K miles on the 954, so maybe I was just a little more in touch with it. I bought the 954 brand new in 2002, and just recently got the 06 1000rr.
I went from a red and black 954 to the silver 2007 1000RR loved the 954 but my 1000 is a better fit for me. I need to get these head lights though. Not a fan of the stock single low beam look.
So I just got one a few weeks ago and when I roll on the throttle there’s a little bit of black smoke from the exhaust, is that normal or what is wrong with it ?
@@Adhanks91 no not yet but the black smoke is my Maine concern right now, other than that it runs absolutely amazing. I’ve been out of town for a month and man that bike is my addiction now lol but when I get back I’ll have a complete inspection for the bike so it’s as if It was brand new :)
Honestly a walk through I feel like you should have more information.. you say here’s that and then start it … like here’s what!???? What are the steps before you start it?? Because I am sitting here with one and I cannot start it to save my life and it’s driving me crazy
wanted to watch your video but the sound of liquid in your mouth stopped me. I can stand folk eating lol but keep up the videos if you could the mic in a different location that would be good.

Love this bike. I think the 06 and 07 are the best looking CBR's ever made. Followed closely by the 954RR.

Mine has the HIDs. I run with the brights on all of the time. I get tired of hearing "you have a light out".
I do miss the "pissed off wasp" looking headlight of the 954. That, to me, was the coolest looking headlight ever.

@FastLaneD - I see you have a steering damper on your bike. I know 2008 and up CBRs have electronic built in steering damper but does the 2007?

I just got a cbr1000r recently as well. Now about the black smoke, not sure, mine certainly isn't doing that. You change the oil?
