Great Video!
Rob, You Made me to buy this Kit….. and also because of your Videos bought also the Tamiya TC-01
my wife isn't happy😅
I accept ZERO responsibility for these purchases! ;) Build video on the TC-01 releasing this weekend. Just putting the finishing touches on it now.
I first saw your original Super Clod Buster video, the don’t meet your hero’s dig. In a way I get where you were coming from, because we are all getting so use to Lipo’s with 2s, 3s, and 4s systems, along with superior upgraded vehicles, and an endless supply of accessories. The one thing you were forgetting when you were talking down the Clodbuster is that it’s still being sold today which not many company’s are still doing, with the main thing to remember it’s still the same 1987 technology from the original. So of course it’s not going to live up to today’s expectations. I bet when you were younger and would’ve drove a Clodbuster you would have smashed your Tyco™️ Bandit®️into pieces, and never looked back. I know I did! lol I will stop whining now. Honestly though what you have going with your build is pretty bad ass, and an extremely nice Clodzilla build! I love it 100% you definitely got my sub, like, and follow, with notifications turned on. I love every type of monster truck R/C that is out there they definitely are my thing for sure. I really liked all of your detailed explanation of things, and the quality of your build is top notch! It was all Pretty Rad… 😎 (p.s. The oversized tires, full time stock 1:1 ratio 4X4X4 drivetrain does make it hard to handle on hard surfaces vs dirt. It’s a monster truck they are usually driven in the dirt 🤷♂️) ok ok I’m done crying now for real this time. Keep the awesome videos coming. 👍
You are definitely correct that I shouldn't compare it to modern RCs. I still loved it in its stock form. Certainly its own style.
The only thing I don't like about the chassis is that it pushes the front and rear axles past the wheel wells. But I can live with that on my second clod buster. I also didn't know you could program the steering 😮to regular, 4 wheel, and crab. Fastest 24 minute video I ever watched! Thanks. Oh, I did subscribe and hit the bell reminder for all your upcoming videos. Will be watching your older videos this weekend and upcoming week.
Awesome! Glad you are here and enjoying the videos!
Awesome build! Truck looks great
Appreciate it, thank you!
Nice ride Rob.... From experience, toss out the Tamiya aluminum pinions and get some Robinson Racing Steel pinions.. 3 or 4 runs with the power you have and the butter soft Tamiya pinions are trash.. Also, just for kicks (cause I seen this first hand) Try the stock silver cans on 3S, you might find them just as fast as the Holmes Hobbies motor (they just don't look as retro). My whole issue is in these times, no one make good brushed motors anymore, Sure you can get some Team Brood motors, but they ain't cheap.. I'm talking motors like the old Trinity Speed Gems 2 line.. Great video man!!!!
Good call on the pinions. Yes! I loved the old Speed Gems! I have one in my TA-02.
Great looking build!
Thanks!
Beautiful build and edit.
Appreciate it!
How much did this kit cost not including anything you had to add to it
I paid about 400€
