Rurikhan joining TGN?! Awesome!!! I think that's a great move on TGN's part. Rurikhan knows what he's talking about, very informative and professional.
I posted about Heroic Throw silencing right after you said you missed Avengers Shield. I watched the whole video now, another good and informative one as usual. Glad you found a way to show the full length on RUclips!
This guys' videos are 10x better than towelies; no constant self-pats on back; no 5 minute long commentaries on how inefficient pugs are in the middle of a boss fight; no ape-like references to how big his shield slams hit - just, everything better.
Very informative and entertaining. And not a single reference to ejaculation.
First time watcher here and this is exactly what I needed! I consider myself a very educated player (Playing since Day 1 and have raided end game for 3 expansions.) But one thing I have never done is tanking as a warrior. I had a Paladin Tank in WotLK but it's just not..as rewarding I think.
These videos will really help me become a better Prot Warrior not only based on the content (I'm doing heroics right now) but just watching your decision making, etc.

I really like your vids. I am an IL 363 warrior tank. I found your commentary to be a bit stuffy at times, but you certainly know your game and have helped me immensely! Rock on Brother!
BTW Ruri, I just also wanted to add, I Freaking LOVE this video walkthrough/how to style of videos that you make/made. I know your really busy with TGN (GRATS! btw) but not enough people make videos like this. I think I can speak for a great many people that I/we learn so much ore and faster by watching this rther than watching videos of glyphing ect we can get from written guides. The slow motions, watching your CD's everything makes this invaluable. Thanks so much, kep them coming (raids) :D

For groups, some more hints:
- Boss1 cuddle up and only separate for the whirlwind after the chains, makes tanking easier.
- Boss2 is np for melee on a beam, you just have to position the boss correctly for the melee to hit it. Also, transformed players do less dmg than transformed adds.
- Boss3 cleaves, so make sure he doesn't face your grp!
Also. for the warriors out there - use berserker rage often, the extra rage is well worth it.

Hey this is Towelliee. Great video Rurikhan! My favorite aspect of tanking on a warrior has ALWAYS been the ability to be Intercept/Charge and be extremely mobile. Although i don't think their AOE is as strong as the other tanks. I am hoping they give you guys something good soon since they're nerfing cleave dmg by 35% total which sucks. Maybe buff Rend / TClap talent more? Keep up the good videos and welcome to TGN. Nice to see see content from another tank class finally.

I remember watching these old videos in early cata. Cata, while it sucked in many ways, was pretty fun. I also remember as a prot paladin not having a proper interupt, and having to save avengers shield for different things. Fun fun fun. :P
I'm not going to say that this is /better/ than Towelliee, but very different. I definitely enjoy Towelliee's videos, seeing as how they tend to make me laugh and I just dig it, but I really like these vids, too. It's a well-needed change of pace between Towelliee's style and your own.

Great idea, I've been into PVP for quite a lot of time. I don't think I'm going to have a hard time doing it but every group now days seems to get pissed if I don't know the instance and rush trough it.

Towellie knows what hes doing, he just has a different personality. I like them both personally for completely different reasons.
Nice work Rurikhan, must say you ramble on a little, but still its a great vid, learned heaps already and I been tanking as a warrior since way back in vanilla wow days. Would love to know the addons you use, similiar to mine, but i dont get the cooldown action buttons you have just under your character. Aslo would like to know your rotation for a single target, I dont have a problem with it myself, but its handy to explore other ways and find out if others ways are better.

@Streetz507 I think Rurikhan makes great videos as well and I always watch out for new content from him, but I don't think it's necessary to compare him to anyone else on the tgnwow team. He is now part of the TGN team and making comparisons would bring bad blood from other fans who may not agree. Let's just be happy that Rurikhan is another great addition to the team, and that TGN will be producing great vide for all kinds of fans.

Hi Ruri. Been a big fan of yours for a while, noticed I've never subed for some reason how fail is that, i'll take care of that in a few min. Back on topic. I know you are aware of this but I thought i'd bring it up for the hell of it as I thought it interesting your gonna get your wish. If you still feel the same way about your thunderfury you will get to Transmorg it and skin up a high end weap with it. Though theres some pretty sweet FL stuff. I would like to know what addon does the really nice looking healthbar above the mobs with the mob's hp in numerical digits. That was impressive to me and would like that for my own prot warrior (level 82).
what your rotationt on single targets? like for example on the second boss all i c you do is keep 3 stacks of sunder and hit sheild slam whenever it procs and the ocasional TC. PLease tell me whats your singel target rotation, like for keeping threat and agro and holding it. Thx in advance

Hey Ruri, I totally understand the point you're making here.
As a dedicated fellow Tank, I know how it was in wotlk.
I have been top dps, and on my pally even 2nd on healing in 90% of all heroics (when Judgements still healed you.Ive done in heroics. It almost felt like a boost for all the other players.
It was in fact not challenging at all, you could ignore all tricks of the bosses etc.
Im not sure if I should keep my warrior tank tho, the future nerfs seem too much tbh.how you feelabout it?

We were actually aoetanking all of the trast in bot except the elemental packs b4 valiona.. Worked fine ! Warr/pala tank.. Im playing the pala tank :) (btw, warr aoe tanking is op)

For some reason i find it a bit hard to aoe tank with my dk xD altho i'm fully geared i take a look at the healer before i assign the amount of cc
@tgnWorldOfWarcraft Yeah as a goblin prot warr, I have charge, intercept, heroic leap, goblin rocket jump, and intervene (more warr tanks need to use intervene its fucking awesome).

Great guide. I would prefer that you don't do the whole series with a prot warrior and alternate with your prot pally but in any case I'm looking forward to watching the whole tanking series.

Reroll a DK and 3 of them is NP :D actually pretty easy and really fun with those insane shilelds when stacking mastery

the only thing I didn't understand about this vid is why you keep spamming your mouse when you're tanking since you keep chaning target every sec, even targeting your own group members.
