Waylon Jennings played his last major concert at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium in January 2000. Backed by the all-star Waymore Blues Band (“the band I always wanted,” he later recalled) along with his wife Jessi Colter and guests John Anderson, Travis Tritt and Montgomery Gentry, Waylon delivered a moving, exhilarating performance, revisiting his greatest songs one last time.

I grew up listening to Waylon. He was my favorite of all time. I’m 58 yrs old and still listen to him daily. He could sing any song and make it sound right !!!!

I do know the music and song of today have no real soul, save bands like Tedeschi Trucks Band - Midnight in Harlem..a song that allows me to revisit the music I still love. Check the live version of that song if ya get a chance, and let me know.
Meanings have different meaning at different times in your lifetime. I’ve never felt this song in my #Litetime.

Omg this is the best ever I love it waylon looks and sounds so good and the band sounds awesome and every one who took part just nailed it!!! Waylon was and still is my favorite of all time but one of my biggest regrets in my life is that I never got a chance to go hear him live and I really regret that nearly every day of my life it crosses my mind so if you love to hear someone's music and they are still alive you better go when you can !!! Thanks R.I.P. waylon best ever!!!

Waylon is the #1 of 7 singin slingn heroes that has put the mark for what I look at when it comes to what or who I will allow to play around me. IT'S GOTTA HAVE THROAT WITH JUST A TOUCH OF GRACE OR I'LL TELL YA STRAIGHT UP SORRY BUT YOUR MUSIC SUCKS. And the you add how NO ONE NOBODY CAN PLAY THE GUITTY FIDDLE LIKE WAYLON!! what he does with that right hand how he holds that pick and at the same time throwin in a pluck here, a flick there, a strum there, and all with a little bounce that feels like a algorithm but I can't play along is its not a rithm that each finger does 4:41 or like a repeating pattern that give each finger a task like fhis finger flicks here or that finger plucks after or before but yet he seems to give everything he plays a little swing or SWANG that somehow fives the effect of a ryrhm I DON'T KNOW but béen trying to figure it out for about 30 yrs now. And then you hit the jackpot on brighten so many Bad A$$ songs but even all the ones he stole makes me love his version better than the Originals. Accidentally one I can think of and I can say I like just as much is Gold dust woman. I'm thankful for my dad handin down Waylon, Steve Bannon and a low tolerance for stupid. I'll take that over money any day
