I was just diagnosed with bladder cancer and am 72.i have switched to vegan and was feeling down but this is an inspiration to me.i have always run but recently after cutting out sugar and dairy have dropped to 178 pounds not seen since I was 22.i m trying to beat this and don t want to get my bladder removed.i run 5 days a week plus exercises.Plus I pray everyday.

I would like to know his diet exactly. Did he focus more on grains, or was it fruits or vegetables. There is a huge difference! A person could become extremely unhealthy and overweight by focusing on grains. Just saying

Mike Fremont seems like a really nice guy. He is very energetic and I must say he lived this world very well.
When i started weight training at 14 years young. I set a goal to stay in the gym for the rest of my life, fast foward, I am 70 years young and still in the gym. Praying to be in the gym for the next 30 years. A 4x natural bodybuilding champion with 28 trophies most of them between the age of 52 to 67 years young. I am in the gym 6 days a week and eating clean is the key to my success and longevity. I pray he will be around for many more years to come. I am more inspired after watching thos video.

My friend had stage 3 cancer and she did the same thing! She switched to a vegan diet with high vitamin C IV's and completely beat the cancer! God bless those who take control over their lives!
Yes I'm doing that too.too many supplements to count.all veggies and very little meat,chicken or fish

***For those interested, a plant based diet with no oils or dairy, lessons the blunt on the blood vessels. Genetics can also play a role.
My grandma was a chainsmoker since she was in her teens her tongue already turned light black due to tobacco. She loved eating fatty foods, meat, crabs, pizza...
She never had cancer, lung disease, or heart issues.
Her blood chemistry was excellent, sugar and cholesterol within normal levels.
She died at the age of 94 from an injury.
Also luck. Were her parents long lived? Maybe you've got that background too? GL

She was an orphan when she was still a child. She never talked about her parents. I think they died during wartime in the 1900s.
But my grandma was thin or slender bodied. She was a farm hand tilling plantations in the countryside, so exercise was a daily chore to her. I remember her still chopping wood at the age of 70 while smoking cigarettes all the time. We sent her for medical checkup, and her chest x-rays were fine. And she wasn't on maintenance medicines either because her blood pressure was normal.
At the time of her death at 94, her blood oxygen levels were excellent.

This is what people call, the exception. The exception does NOT cancel the rule. There are always exceptions. If a 1000 persons would start chainsmoking and eat junk food/meat/processed food, I am pretty sure that the overall majority will suffer from this , either by a chronic illness or early death, or both.

Very cool video and motivating for certain. Only 1 in 5000 people are 100 years old or older. Really rare and to be as active as Mike Fremont is even more rare.

If you ever watched someone get old that did not exercise and did not eat right you would know what a difference it can make.

Eating meat or not eating meat has nothing to do with cancer.
I live in Italy and I have daily conversations with over 100 years old healthy folks. They all eat meat throughout their lives but organic meats. Especially lamb,, and beef.
They also eat lots of local cheese and milk. And yes they eat loads of veggies as well. It's not by strictly eating veggies alone but a combination of everything as long as they are organic. But one important thing that they all specifically agree on is that they always go out for walks and exercise no less than 3 times a week.

My mom of Caribbean origin would make "ginger beer" for every holiday occasion. She was very active also, by walking.
She just passed this year (2023) on her 99th birthday.
Ginger and carrots juiced is a great medicine....Enjoy!
I am glad to hear of all of Mike's accomplishments. I. Interested to know where is God in all of this. Does he acknowledge Him at all. What about what the fact that God gave His only Son to die so that we may be reconciled to Him, through Jesus Christ we can have eternal life with God. Long life down here is good. But this mortal body will eventually die. Then where will we spend eternity?

India's 29% population is vegetarian due to ancient culture i.e. vegetarian population in India (400 million )> 5* world's vegetarian population. Most vegan people are found in India. This old man proved every one wrong and with his dedication he did the impossible. Such a great personality.

He was on rich roll podcast and discusses his vegan diet. It’s simply all whole food plant based . Back then they didn’t even have processed vegan foods so it had to be whole plants. Vegetables fruits and lots of beans he said .

@@captainamericaamerica8090 that is quite slow, but bear in mind... He's 101, not 21. He's not going to be a sprinter. It's incredible that he is able to run a mile altogether. Many centenarians have trouble just walking, and some are even confined to a wheelchair.
