Fun and entertaining. I own a Thunder and these Legends when they pass me on the road almost full speed, I pretend to be purposefully slowing down ( to mask the embarrassment).
Good run guys!. I can't wait for another video that compares them in their normal day to day use. Bakkies are intended to be versatile (multi-purpose, multi-terrain), seamless city and off-road capability, load bearing and passenger comfort, towing, fuel efficient and high endurance.
Ford all day everyday, the Thunder looks amazing really epitomizes its name. Own a 3.2 wildtrak for 8 years and its a dream to drive and towing is effortless. Its a pity these cars are so damn expensive but Ranger will get the job done all day any day. 458 000km 8 years later we still going strong

This drag race is inaccurate. Neither bakkie was fitted with the customary "Statsboer Tralies" for putting their imaginary sheep on in their residential areas farms nor were they driven with the optional 500kg Ego Package with the arm holding the door on. The Ford also needed the ridiculous fake raptor bodykit for aerodynamics and the bonnet scoop that is glued to the flat and closed bonnet.
Guessing you drive a 1984 citi golf? Maybe when you leave your house some time within the next 3 months you'll notice how many farms are actually within city limits actual "stadsboere" if you will. Well I have a manual ranger 3.2 single cab 2013 with more than 170k on the odo. Whilst it is not as refined as the newer bakkies it only stands 2nd to the v6 Amarok 0 to 100, but even from 120 upwards that Amarok v6 gearbox keeps on working whilst my 6th gear sits with it until the speed limiter stops the acceleration. Even when taking on the newest twin turbo 10 gear ranger my single cab leaves it lengths in the rear view mirror. That said I don't dare switching of traction control as it is much easier to step out of line than a Toyota 86. On gravel the newer bakkies will easily be able to outrun my ranger as it is way to light without load to try exceed 80 on good gravel.
Next year an all new 3.0 V6 powerstroke Ranger will arrive. 250 HP 600nm torque! other cars will struggle to match with its power for quite some time. ranger will up the game again for a other 5yrs before other utes catch up hababa
