None of my instructors ever taught me this? It seems so basic. Thank you very much Sam! I’m extremely glad you’ve shown this to me. I’ll have to work on it now. :)
very nice advice. Im working on finger picking style after playing chords and lead riffs for years. Love the finger picking style, it requires a lot of time per son and a lot of new skills to pick up, this one will help a lot.
Thank you so much for all the tips, they are really good video, simple and clear. I am definitely gonna check your Patreon, you did a great job. It would be much appreciated if you can make a video about how to play armonics with one hand, cause I am struggling a lot with that
If I understand correctly, wouldn't this add noise to a performance? I assume you don't actually fret the note and slide it up, but even resting a finger entirely on a string adds sliding-on-string-noise for me... maybe my hands are just way too dry or something At any rate, thx 4 the tipz
Not enough noise on the non-wound string to worry about it at all, but you're right when it comes to the other lower strings. It really just depends. I may opt to try to minimize the slide by raising the finger off the string ... but usually the extra noise is worth it to me.
