What Jason is overlooking because of his laser focus on getting back to his family’s is that him thinking about home isn’t workin because he’s traveling WITH SOMEONE ELSE who’s state of mind also has an effect on their destination. He’s totally forgotten that AMANDA has to be 100% in sync with him in mind in order to arrive where he wants to go.

Exactly. And that's why when Jason 2 enters the box with Leighton, and now with Ryan; he asks them to clear their minds and take deep breathes. Because if their mind is clear, then they can not impact the world that he is focusing on. Example: When opens the door to the world he leaves Ryan in, it's absolutely amazing to Ryan. Jason 2 even says when asked how did he decide on that world, he says, "I imagined a more progressive and kinder world for my friend". He left him in a world that he at least knew Ryan would like. Jason 2 is not all bad. Each episode I realize that more and more.

Superposition is a physics term that usually applies to subatomic particles, but can apply to larger things. It's a state of being in many places or states at the same time - existing as a probability of being in each possible state until something acts upon the system. So, a cat in a box with a poison set to be released at a random time is both dead and alive until you open the box to see if it's alive or dead. A particle can be spin up or spin down until you check it with a magnet to see which it is. But, the key is that these physical things really are in an in-between state of neither up or down, dead or alive, but one, the other, both, and neither at the same time. It's indeterminate - a probability function until something interacts with it.
The breakthrough Jason made was in putting a person into superposition. So, he enters the box (like the cat), and he takes a drug that inhibits his mind so he can't determine what state he's in while in the box, and he and the box itself "spread out" across the multiverse of options of worlds where he exists or existed and things went differently. He's in his world and every other that he might have existed in simultaneously - until he opens the box, and the state collapses on the world he chose. It's that interaction - opening the door to a world that collapses the superposition. But, without the drug, he'd never go into superposition to begin with as his mind would collapse the state before it started.

That helps so much thank you. I literally went and looked it up and since I’m not mathematically aware I was like what is happening here.
      Thanks again

What I love about this show is its delivery of quantum physics in a fairly consumable form.
I was in awe of the explanation of superposition opportunities relative to the "cat in the box"... the person inside at the time.
I agree with Corrie 100%. I believe she's aware of her influence as well... which is why she freaked out thinking he left her... because she knows without her... he may be able to get home.
I believe that's what she was writing at the end of the episode because as as psychologist, she's gotta journal, and as with any TV show, he's gonna find it.
So, I almost wish I waited to binge... but I'm loving this show.

Regarding Jason2 (the antagonist). He's definitely mastered the box... and I believe he travelled back to his home world with Jason1 knocked out. That's why he did it, so Jason1 would have no influence on the door.
Clues were, take a look at every time he travelled with someone, he either distracts them or directs them.... or just knocks them out.
The idea of a chemical that puts your consciousness in sync with multiversal superposition is such an interesting concept.

Jason 2 dropped off Jason 1 in his world also because he needed to cover his tracks and replace himself. He probably scouted every world until he found the least likely Jason to figure out the box. But it looks like he underestimated Jason 1.

I can't help but think their going to encounter the Layton who just bought the 50 amps when they get down to their last few maybe get into a struggle and switch their empty pack with his full one. Probably not with only 2 episodes to go.

I love this show, except for recently, one episode they mention that Prof J's son has a nut allergy and in the next epi, Evil J triggers the nut allergy. Why not just reveal the nut allergy when they trigger the nut allergy? We didn't need the heads up. When Evil J handed the ice cream to his son, I said right out loud, "and trigger nut allergy".
    WTF! That was too LAME.

What i wouldn't give to travel to different possibilities.
Knowing me, the other me and I would probably get along and we'd catch each other up and agree to swap here and there.
Heck, if only we could control time as well... Next trip to the box, I'm bringing a motorcycle.

To seal the box, you just need to run out of the injection. The box is not sealed with concrete, the door opens inward.

    • @MovieEmporium
      @MovieEmporium  Месяц назад +1

True but how do they get out if it’s concrete from all sides

@@MovieEmporium From the outside, eliminate the concrete.
From the inside, I think the concrete would just disappear as it's not on the mind of the person/people inside the box.
I'm not even sure there is any way to seal the box as long as people are traveling.
When Evil J left Ryan's character in the alt uni, the box did not disappear. Was that a production mistake or do the boxes now exist in every uni visited?
It's going to be one hell of a ride, don't you think? Can't wait till the next epi., but don't want to get to the last epi either!

Let me say, I'm just a fan of SciFi and twisty stories of all kinds. Not a science guy. What I know about science is just a splat on a windshield. I'm just speculating, it could be far more fantastical than I can even imagine.

Over the last couple of days I re-watched and wow. One thing is stuck in my head though, ". . . volunteered as soon as it went online."?
How did knocked out, unconscious, Prof J get to Evil J's world?

    • @jamiemacdonald5203
      @jamiemacdonald5203 Месяц назад +2

I think evil j was the one who took him back, it would make sense that he knocked him out so he wouldn't be thinking and interfere with the transition. I think. But could be wrong this show is putting everyone's brains into overdrive.

@@jamiemacdonald5203 Had an epiphany earlier today. It seemed that there were seeming "production glitches" in every episode. Minor things wrong or out of place.
I don't think they are that lazy, I've decided there are more threads running here than we, the audiance, is aware of as of yet.
What did EJ say he was looking for? Perfection.

I was wondering about this too. It's either he came with J and left subtly while the emergency team were treating J but I also noticed he was trying to plant suggestions in J's mind while he was still semi conscious before entering the box. If J accepted the suggestions, even at a subconscious level, the box might have aligned J with J2's world once the drugs wore off.

HI movie emporium Man, No offense re your view of things being "plot conveniences", tho I Don't feel that way, & in part cus IMPT FYI: The J who came in right after Jason #1 according to Many other RUclips reviewers & My reviewing those last scenes, was a Jason #3 who we'd Not met, cus He had a Splint on his left ring finger rather than the Wedding Ring that Evil Jason#2 stole from Jason#1, & Jason #1 has been wearing a rubber band around his ring finger, which you can See if you go back to the scene of him in the gun store & get close to your screen if You need to (I had to as my biggest TV is a 40-in in my living room). Thus, If you realize that the Jason who came in right after Jas#1 was NOT Evil Jas #2, but another Jason, it makes more sense.😊
