The pirates always make crazy moves in any franchise I play. In a couple of Free agencies they signed Rhys Hoskins, Ian Happ and Teoscar as well as a lot of low 80s pitchers and hitters.
Rose will likely get there albeit posthumously. They won't ever put him in where he lives to see it, sadly. Might be a hot take, but I say put in Bonds, Clemens, and Rose. And as much as I'm against PED's, there's just no way to tell who has ever taken them and who hasn't as far as the existing HOF members. I mean Ortiz name has been involved with PEDs, he's in(and deservedly so), that and baseball did not crack down on PEDs in that era like they do now, they basically turned the other way in the mid to late 90s, especially because they were trying to win their fans back.
At the end of the day, these 3 were just way too talented, and their stats all speak for themselves. No we don't know what their stats would have looked like without PEDs(not Rose), but I'm confident Bonds and Clemens still put up stats good enough to get them in with or without.
I’ve noticed the past couple Shows that once a player hits 10 year service time they regress. The player can be 28 and have regression because of his service time
i hadnt had a single generational talent appear in like my first 8 drfafts, get a class with 2 and another SS prospect that was a 69 overall 99 potential, it was crazy
Hey, apologies if you already knew this, but the reason the catcher's WAR was higher than the 3rd baseman's during some seasons when the 3B hit better is because WAR is positional. Different positions generate a different amount of base defensive WAR, and catcher gives the most by far, and 3rd is like in the middle of that list. (This is all done in an attempt to balance out how defensively valuable the position is in general.)
I think training plays a decently large role in the sim stats for the players. I typically rotate players through weight room, batting cages, and hitting coach session until I see their performance boost then leave it on that for the rest of my rebuilds.
I actually have an uncle named Charlie "Chuck" Riddle. I will have him watch this with me to see his reaction since baseball is coincidentally his favorite sport lol
Ive noticed LAD and CLE are pretty much always in the WS at least 1 of first 2 seasons, if not both. PIT is also sneaky good very quickly in this years game. I’ve also noticed if any team is tanking, they’ll sell off ANY person on their team, including prospects. Saw Royals trade Witt and Melendez in same off season just because they were in last. Crazy year.
I just drafted a generational right fielder an his stats look nearly identical to both of these. Thinking the game just uses really similar numbers for generational position players.
Question: if I find more players in one position that is not a need of mine do I scout them? Because in my draft like there’s 10/20 pitchers in my draft
I still have an operating PS3 and recently purchased MLB 15 the Show. I'm having problems understanding the scouting mode. Forgive me for I haven't played baseball on the PS systems in forever. I know how to play the game though, but Franchise Scouting is a bit much. Any help would be appreciated.
To see regression at 23 or 24 makes no sense. Cmon MLB; they’re literally nowhere near their prime. I just feel like they played us with this logic they talked about that entire franchise stream. It’s still bad.
try a generational starting pitcher and a generational position player on the same team. see how long til they get a world series appearance
Just look at the angels
@@anthonyevangelisti9296 that’s even worse tho. They have a generational hitter and generational 2-way player
@@anthonyevangelisti9296 you mean trout and ohtani? Maybe if both were 18 yr old draft picks. Not in their prime being wasted....
@@anthonyevangelisti9296 my idea was 2 generational DRAFT players. Not existing real players.
@@anthonyevangelisti9296 the league is lucky ohtani wasn’t 18 when he went to the angels 😂

In mine, they traded Cruz almost immediately
Letting Steven Bell walk is such a pirates thing to do
The catcher not making the HOF with 85 WAR is nuts. I think pretty much everyone with 65+ War makes it eventually unless your name end with Rose.

To put this to perspective he has the highest war by a catcher by 10, he is absolutely a first ballot
This is MLB the show we are talking about. 😮💨
Having an amazing player and then just letting him walk at the first sign of having to pay him more than $10 is just so quintessentially Pirates...
And then he goes to the rays lol
I’ve noticed the past couple Shows that once a player hits 10 year service time they regress. The player can be 28 and have regression because of his service time
All this video told me is that regression in this game is insane. Both players regressing before they're 25? Nuts
i hadnt had a single generational talent appear in like my first 8 drfafts, get a class with 2 and another SS prospect that was a 69 overall 99 potential, it was crazy
The fact the players don’t get quirks shows they still don’t care about franchise and the fact you get outlier on an prospects is lame af too

Riddle might be best career I’ve seen from drafted player in MLBTS history. 3,000 hits and 640 HR is unheard of in MLBTS due to the regression
I did the same career sim as ant and I got a player who is 30 years old and has. 506 hr
I think training plays a decently large role in the sim stats for the players. I typically rotate players through weight room, batting cages, and hitting coach session until I see their performance boost then leave it on that for the rest of my rebuilds.
My guess is that Steven Bell regressed sooner because he was playing Catcher perhaps (or does position’s not matter when it comes to regression.)
That was one of the most enjoyable videos I’ve seen in a while. I would definitely like to see a lot more of these

Love the content brother. Been watching all your vids

Cleveland never makes it for me
Let’s go ant love the content! Go cubbies!
Alright yeah I need more scouting/drafting videos and even more career sims for these generational talents. Chuck Riddle ftw.
Love the vids ant keep up the great work
Just FYI they removed the non-active quirks from having high attributes that didn't do anything, the only ones left are the active quirks
I just drafted a generational right fielder an his stats look nearly identical to both of these. Thinking the game just uses really similar numbers for generational position players.
I had a player in MLB22 that had 600 homers and 500 steals for his career with a career OPS pf like .950
What potential and overall minimums would you consider a generational talent?
loved this video!!! love watching career sims ! what are the odds you get 2 in 1 😅
Hey Ant, thanks dude I drafted 2 generational talents, 2 out of my 3 drafts since I used your method . 👍👍
I found 2 generational prospects too in my draft last night and luckily I had the second pick that year.
YOU COULD DO 10 YEARS WITH ALL THE DRAFT PROSPECTS POTENTIAL ON LOW AROUND 68 TO 70 WITH ONE 99 POTENTIAL PLAYER.
The guy that beat chuck riddle for mvp in his 50 hr season was his teammate the year you were checking
Good stuff Ant! Do you or anyone in the comments here know if the training plans (or whatever they’re called) actually have an impact on development?
What do you use as your background music?
Love this bro keep it comin
great idea for a video, really enjoyed this one!
I found 3 😭 a 1B, SS and C. I only got the catcher though
Love this types of videos!, continue with a starting pitcher
Brian Tachiki jus casually hitting 374 in 2030
Question: if I find more players in one position that is not a need of mine do I scout them? Because in my draft like there’s 10/20 pitchers in my draft
13:00 maybe they were clutch hits

Idea. Sim 10 years into the future and build a team
what were they ranked tho, cuz I'm having trouble finding high ranked guys but low potential
Shout out Juan Soto getting to 690 home runs in this sim
Thought I had my first generational talent draft pick the other day, ended up being a 75 overall with 74 potential 😢
How do you view draft picks like that? Where it shows scouted and actual potential
From the franchise menu screen the day after the signing period for draft picks ends
My drafting is still crap, I even watched your video
Funny how dude from New York stayed on the east coast and dude from Cali got drafted to LA
When was Chuck Riddle drafted? Usually the angels are good so they have a late pick
I almost found three and the other dude was a 73 with a 97 while the other were generational
I drafted 4 center field generational players in one rebuild lmao
I drafted a guy that was 21 and had 99 actual potential
Try and get two HOF on the same team from the same draft class.
did you notice Ohtani was on the DBacks? lol
Will Smith was Slapping during this sim.... 🤷🏻♂️😂
I found two and a 97 and 96... All after the first round.
When is your teams draft lottery position decided in the game ?
Lmao what are the hand movements when you say generational I’m dead
Is Steven Bell was reak this wouldve been the biggest first ballot snub in Hof history with no contreversy
can anybody tell me, if i keep the extra inning runner rule on, will it automatically stop once the playoffs start like in real life?
i drafted 4 90+ in one draft and 2 were 99s with the pirates and my auto save failed and i had to restart😭😭😭😭😭😭
I was trying to see if maybe I could pay to be put in your upcoming draft class?
The regression system is pretty infuriating
one time i found 3 in 3 drafts back to back to back lets say i won 7 ws in 10 years
The regression is so bad, how can't they fix it, it's been 10 years like that
Love that content
Chuck riddle is nasty
How to do this
Piazza had more dingers fyi 🤓
Great sim!
🐜=🐐
Why haven’t they done a better job with making young prospects look young. The ones who just became adults all look over 40 smh.
Dope 🔥
the show is so bad with hof. i say at this point let us pick. its annoying not seeing an 80 plus war guy somehow not get in
🔥

I love you ant
