There's a brief G#2 after that B2 @ 0:33 and a brief A2 after that B2 @ 0:43. And the D7 is actually an E7. Listen closely. ~ G#2 - E7 = 4.4 octaves & 1 semitone :D
This Video is really nice. It proves that Mariah can still sing LIVE - and do it beautifully. She always had a great vocal range, and, she still does at her age. I love her voice, because it's one of the best - EVER.
oh mariah...still love her. her voice has lost some of the ease and clarity on her belts above Eb5 and some of the richness of her earlier career but she still sounds amazing to me.

The sustained E5 in her AI MIH performance was great, it was such a shame she cracked half way because the start of that note was one of her best.

The lower notes aren't forced as much as they were in previous eras. Surprisingly, her voice has lowered and they hit much more naturally, looking at throat placement and overall sound.
Her voice was improved very well and she can now handle an F5 & F#5 notes with an ease,and she can n0w handle the song EMOTIONS,completely live and she returned her whistle register up to D7.I wish that she can n0w hit again a G5 note live.
Mariah for the record you always be a part of me no matter what you do.

Its not hitting the notes that notes that bothers me, but it's the lack of dexterity and how she just doesn't make her singing sound smooth and just soothing to the ears. Now her chest voice usually lacks vibrato and warmth and that's not deterioration but I don't think she bothers to do warm ups or practices vocal exercises :(.
Yeah that's very true but let's be honest, I don't think she puts in as much effort as she should. Perhaps because it has been 23 years that would be tedious (vocal warm ups and practicising technique etc) but it would be such a treat to get a smooth vocal. I still hope for the best, will always be a part of the lambily.

How come the headvoice note only ends in A5? Doesn't it go to E6? Also, I am so impressed at her live f5s! Her voice is so back!

Great video. Really shows the state of her voice. 5th octave belting seems to be difficult for her. She either loses clarity or can only 'tap' the note.

I did find it. But I didn't hear a crack, unless it was before the sustained "Make It Happen" which sounds like an incredible E5. The ground part was kinda rough, but I didn't hear a crack. If you're referring to the go, she always faded out with it in all three takes so she might have wanted to cut it off suddenly and cracked her voice instead. Either way it's nbd.
Her recent 4th of july performances/American Idol performances have Vibrato. She didn't sing for like 2 years so I think her voice is a ltitle harsh but it's regaining that dexterity - #Beautiful and her live performances of Hero/My All show this.

Her cumulative range is that, yes, but this is referring to what she's demonstrated in 2012-2013. If we're counting within the last five years (2008) and including recordings, her range is G2-F7 which is ALMOST five octaves.

If you quit the highest whistles she did like 2 times in Emotions and add a G2 to her range nowdays, she's still having almost the same range. Btw What's that CTTA performance and that video from GMA performing Beautiful?

Her voice is a little raspy but IDK. Her 2013-early 2013 performances are kinda shaky past an E5 but her f5-f#5 on idol are pretty clear imo.

Her voice was best during the jazz stuff. Funny that she sort of started out in the soul/jazz genre.
In the dubbed one it was E5, but there was no E5 in the undubbed version

Mariah's voice is in the best shape it's been in since TEOM era ! I and she is still arguably the best vocalist in the industry today ! I'm so looking forward to this era ! She looks great, she sounds amazing and she has a new manager !

Is the cracked E5 here? It sounds like she tried to add more power but flubbed it but it doesn't sound too bad to me at all. She probably just made a vocal misstep, which is fine because she covered it pretty well.

Is 10:41 the only time she’s gone for that highest “I had a vision of love” since 1998? She’s gone for the Eb many times but I’ve not heard the F since she did it as an F# on Butterfly tour.
yes it's the only one that we know, maybe she did it on the missing Charm tour dates (probably not)

She's always done them like that in Vision Of Love, but let's not even talk about Kelly's 2 octaves.
it's just one octave that falls down. do not ever compare arianna to mariah, arianna may lost her voice earlier because she cannot control her whistle. it just explodes the tone and sometimes over tune it, she is still new.

Because of the recent (see: past 12 years) flak that she's received that she 'lost her voice'. So, this is the proof that while she doesn't have the same voice as she did in the early to mid 1990s, there's still a formidable voice there.
Thanks, but sorry, I don't understand why many people think GMA is good. The Soundcheck is good, but the live I thing is not good. AI performance is far away better than GMA imo . . .
