I honestly think c5 is mariahs favorite note..she does it all the time
C5 isn't an extremely high belt so it's easier to support and hit it with resonance and vibrato and at the same time it can still be considered a high belt. That's probably why. I actually like C5 more than the extremely high belts above E5.
her E5's are pretty good.

Her voice was so resonant this era ! And her attempts at high notes were successfully done !
Cause she is one of the best singers ever, she has one of the most beautiful and powerful voices ever. She has a kind of rock power that is REALLY powerful that you dont find very many places.
Strongest her belted register has been since 2003.

I cant believe you didnt include the F5 from I Stay In Love from the AMA's one of her best live performances from her of this decade

She still has the range and power it just seems to be a little harder for her to control these days but id rather it be like that than she just lip sync it and i respect that she actually sings live and she suffers with vocal nodules so its gotta be painful sometimes for her
With this kind of videos I've been realized that she sing even better than in her prime, but the raspiness and her poor elasticity (compared with Daydream era, for example) make people think she hasn't The voice anymore.

In fact better. When I'm raspy, it's so restricting for me. It makes sense, with people mistaking rasp with lost voice.

But Mariah's voice wasn't in good condition AT ALL during the E=MC2 & MOAIA era (I think it's coz she really overworked her voice in TEOM era with the touring). Honestly I think she should've rested her voice before making those two albums. Kinda reminds me of her voice during the Butterfly & Rainbow era.

how can that user say that mariah can't belt nothing effortless anymore?,she proved this year that she can still belt C5,E5,D5 effortless,and with proper rest she may even belt F#5 effortless too.
the voice is there.. her techinic is amazing still BUT she needs to make vocal lessons everyday.. maybe her vocal nodles condition is not allowing her to do so..i dunno... i think that she can still improve and become on vocal condition of at least butterfly if not better!

Great video, liked that you stayed away from lipped parts. I do think that I stay in Love was live at the AMA's, her E5's are still great, if she was just in better voice during these era's she could ahve gotten the notes out with more ease. Too bad she was sick when she belted that F#5 in MIH. She still is amazing.
I mean, she didn't normally lip in the 90's. It was just a thing that came once in a while. She didn't lip every performance. By you saying 'She's been lipping since 92' means she has lipped about everything since. And she's lipped it before I can understand, but she sang it live in 96, 97, 98, etc. So how about no, you first. AND If you DO look at vegas shows, you can see how she sings River Deep Mtn High live ALSO. They are all live except All By Myself and My Heart Will Go ON, sometimes...

Or Celine Dion - River Deep, Mountain High (BAMBI Awards 2012) HD, or Celine Dion - Because You Loved Me (Live Jamaica Jazz & Blues Festival 27/01/12. Those are all 2012 and above D5. And about moving arms. How do you know that helps her focus? It might HAVE been uncomfortable to her.

I'm simply stating that she started lipping in 92, but even then it wasn't all to much just about 10 or 20 percent of her songs were lipped depending on the set list. As for the new Vegas show Where Does My Heart Beat Now, It's All Coming Back To Me Now, The Power of Love, The Reason, The Bond Melody, All By Myself (only the big note) and My Heart Will Go On are all lipped.

Wait nowadays as in her recent tour? Or nowadays as in 2012. Today she doesnt raise her larynx. In her prime she raised it on All By Myself. Many people DONT have beautiful and powerful voices and that is what Celine and Whitney BOTH are known for. Even Whitney's voice wasnt perfect. All she was worried about was giving her fans what they wanted no matter how she was singing, she just wanted to sound good. The same with Celine. Mariah is too worried about being the best and making money.
Everything at the Walmart show was lipped except Love can Move Mountains. River Deep , Mountain High I'm not 100 % on it kind of looks and sounds lipped. Because You Loved Me was live.

She's been lipping since 92, but she has been lipping the Power of Love since 94 I'm not making this up its a fact go listen to the Power of Love on the Live A O'lympia CD its the same play back track she used until 2009. So how about you check your facts before you call me names. As for the walmart show it's lipped go look at every performance of It's All Coming Back to Me Now and The Power of love from her new Vegas show its the same Playback track!
