A great place for light alignment is your local grocery, walmart, whatever, with a level parking lot and a vertical wall. Bring some chalk and a tape measure. Adjust at various distances. I've found though that the Amber lights work best with a greater angle between the driver and the light. IE Lower is better for the Ambers, in my experience; YMMV
Tony.. I see the SS2 light have lens in same setup.. I would have though the lens be opposite of each other. is that normal.. my combo lens came identical as well.
Question. For the 2" light the wiring harness option is heavy duty and not light duty. I know in the video you said you used two light duty and wanted to make sure prior to ordering. Thank you
Hey, have you had any issues passing next to the grommet coming into the cab like air or excess engine noise ? Thinking of going that way as well for mine.
@@TonyTheTechnician I guess i should’ve said ran the wiring by the fuse box. You mention it in the video but then the fuse box was never touched. Just curious. Using this video and I’m going to run my lights next week now when it’s not 100° out! Thanks again for the video!
@Tacito13 and ya I understand waiting. I need to wore up my inverter but not doing that when it's 100 and humid out today. I'll wait until it's like 80 lol
@@TonyTheTechnician okay got ya! Thanks for the great video man! It drops from 102° out today to 84° on Monday so that’s why I can wait a couple days! Stay cool out there
@@TonyTheTechnician My brackets are doing the same thing. They are pushing down on the hard plastic cowl that runs the front of the windshield which is then peeling of the rubber seal to the window, looks like the same thing is happening to yours when you watch the video at 16:07-16:12. Are you talking about adjusting all of the plastic push pins holding down that cowl to the metal or are you talking about adjusting the smaller/softer plastic piece on the outside which never really wants to stay connected anyways with or without the brackets installed?

Hopefully you didnt jynx yourself with the "not having to remove" the wiper cowl. Its a poorly engineered part on the Gen 3, and GM is aware of it. I have a replacement on order for my Z71, but no ETA due to the strike.
Awesome video dude!! This gave me the confidence to install them myself! Now to go order everything!! Thank you!
Awesome I'm really glad to hear it. If you need any help feel free to message me
Hello again,Tony
Thank you for another Great Video 👍 She's looking great. 😊
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed 👍
Great job very clean professional insulation.
Thank you. I appreciate it

I might have used a step drill for those holes.
Great vid. If my Canyon AT4 has the Aux switch is there a way to connect it with that, or even use and Auxbeam switch panel?
Do you know the correct size of the smaller fastener you used in combination with the ditch light bracket to get full thread contact?

Any update on the lights? What is the brightness during the night test? Thanks!!
Looks good, like the lift and wheel setup too. What bulbs did you go for in the headlights?
Thank you. I ran auxilam for headlights. I have a video on that install as well

Yes I used 2 light duty. They don't require the heavy duty. I ran into the same issue and contacted them to make sure the light duty was fine.
@@TonyTheTechnician Thank you much appreciated
Hey, have you had any issues passing next to the grommet coming into the cab like air or excess engine noise ? Thinking of going that way as well for mine.
No, no issues that I've noticed. It's still sealed pretty well and insulated in that area pretty well so I haven't noticed any more noise
@@TonyTheTechnician Thank you! I’m going to run mine the same way!
@@TonyTheTechnician I can’t seem to push through any tips on how you did it ?
@@JT4X4OFFROADING it's almost easier if you lay on the floor board and pull on the edge or use like a plastic trim tool
Which ditch lights did you decide to go with?
Question, website says to pick the primary optic for the SS3 and it says to pick combo, flood, sae/dot, sae flood, spot. Which one did you pick?
Answer??
Ssc2 is a combo and the ss3 are a driving light but you can choose what best fits your needs
Hey, I'm having trouble getting through the grommet. Any suggestions or tips? Thank you
Only way is to push from the engine bay and then pull on the edge from inside the truck.
Thanks I'll keep trying
Why didn’t you go with the white light instead of amber for that larger of the two?
Those ones are still pointoff at an angle but still cover more of the hood then the side white lights and it creates less glare off of the hood
When you are off-roading at night the amber lights are bright enough? It doesn’t look too weird having two different colors?
@sergiiocuriel they are absolutely bright enough and the amber is actually easier on your eyes at night
Awesome video! Is there a reason you put it next to the fuse box? Or is it just because it’s close to the battery?
Thank you. Why I put what next to the fuse box?

Does anyone make the fog light brackets for the 2023 Colorado? I have had 0 luck finding it.
If you check the Facebook group a guy has installed the factory fog light panel and installed fog lights that way.
16:09 cowl is pushed downward? I took out mine coz of that
All you have to do is reclip it. I'd your does not stay clipped many people have installed longer clips to hold it and works great

does the Colorado not come with a single aux switch already installed?
The z71 comes with 1 and you can option for an additional 3
Question, the way it is wired, the lights can be powered without starting the truck?
Yes you can turn them on and off at any time
Can someone send the link to the redline strut kit

When you and the site refers to the “backlight” what does that mean?
It's a led backlight that turns on and just illuminates the lens. It's not the main led that projects outwards
No nighttime footage of the lights on?
Have a video coming soon on night time footage.
Why didnt you buy GMs power distribution box. Its already on my truck. Have to figure out how to use? I guess I just go there instead of the battery..
Bc the price of it isn't worth it. If I ordered the truck I would have added it but the price after purchase just isn't worth it
Who makes the brackets?
It's in the description of the video

You are turning a 2 banger 90 degrees. What affect does that have? It should have some shouldn't it?
@Max-kn9yi well yeah it will have an effect. There will be more light aimed to the sides. My response was for GM's poor cowl design
