Hahaha, I love the ends of these. the last one he just throws the pick away. This one, he tells us to do our own homework. Came here for the lessons, stayed for the closing sass.

I've found that the minor third gives an 'Eastern' sound to riffs. It's not as noticeable if it's only used once in a riff, but bands like Nile and Behemoth must use it a lot.

Yeah that Hindu/Indian type sound which is also widely associated with the signature sound that most people hear as the typical middle Eastern or Egyptian scales. These scales are the Harmonic Minor scales, which are well known for their mysterious, ancient mysticism sort of vibes, and a supernatural atmospheric/ethereal energy. Harmonic minor scales are fucking epic, especially for the heavier metal genres, at least in my opinion... Who knows, maybe Harmonic minor scales are even better for bluegrass or gangsta rap... Haha.

thanks for the video, you've given me a new perspective on the 7 the string!! before now they have sounded like MUDD to me!! Hated them!! But in this video you've shown how one can make music on them!! Brilliant!!

Clarence Dudley trust me it took me about a year to find a 7 stringed guitar I liked and finally found this one. It’s important to have a guitar with good materials, pickups and a good amp to get the most out of the low range. If I’m honest I find B too low and would rather the 7 strings go up one semitone.

      I have a Fireball 100.
      For my 6's i use 52-10 D'addario and my 7 has D'addario 59-10. I have one 6 using 56-11 in D standard
