My observations on fishing so far: Unlike the other activities, you can fish on your own property, so it saves travel time. Additionally, if you cook the fish before selling them, they sell for better prices. And finally, if you're trying to also skill-up while making gold, fish provide you with focus after cooking them. You lose gold by eating the cooked fish, but you continue to keep your focus topped off.
    Just my thoughts.

The ability to fish on your own land is definitely a huge bonus!

i think out of all the ways to make money right now is that fishing is the best scaling so far, with hunting in the beginning area the prices of the drops stagnate and hunting in the next area is slow and tedious while fishing only gets better the higher you level up the skill as you get to introduce worms and glow worms, and like @katherinestives940 said you can cook them to get the chance to get a star version and it will sell for more!

I don't like fishing on my property unless i have a friend over. It just feels so slow without the bonus.

also with fishing you don't waste ammo like smoke bombs and arrows like with bugs and hunting. Surprisingly with fishing unlike in other games this doesn't require any bait.

The Sernuks take 2 makeshift arrows to kill (or 1 copper arrow). The Chappas take 1 makeshift arrow. When hunting I use the copper arrows for Sernuks and makeshift arrows for Chappas.
There are also higher quality versions of them that take even more arrows.

Try to find the older dear (they are darker) in the beach area. They consume more arrows to kill, but drop better items to sell.

What about 15 minutes of foraging shells and oysters?
Both things anyone can do as a new player. The shells are just in the next zone over, little bit of running, but could be worth it.

  • @Warlock8ZERO
    @Warlock8ZERO Год назад +2

From what I've seen, if you're hunting, it's much better to cook the meat, it gives about 20-30%% more and improves cooking skill, just takes a little bit longer.
For fishing, it's much more worth it using worms, even if you buy them from the general store and much better later on when you can make your own worm farms.
Bugs still seem to be quite bad and crops are the best investment as it's passive income, and you can combine different crops for better bonuses.
Some complicated food dishes are also quite good, but that's later on.
Mining and tree cutting are not even worth mentioning tbh lol, I hope they improve these a bit more, in the end whatever you enjoy doing is going to be the best for you which is what I like the most about Palia.

Really enjoyed your Palia content -- continue as time and circumstance allow! *two enthusiastic thumbs up* As for how I make money? If it's there, I do it. Fishing on the home lot, say while you're waiting for a Seed Maker to do it's thing, is very easy, and can help with cooking experience. Mining was slow, but steady. Hunting was fun! Farming was what I thought I'd enjoy most, but was hampered by needing money to make money -- either with time (Seed Maker) or just having to pop over to the general store to pick on as many seeds as I could afford. Bug hunting is HARD (lol); hunting headshots were easier (for me).
    Take care!

About fishing: I found a fishing spot, where this little sparkling circles for special fish do not disappear (unfortunately I don't remember). I guess you will get more valuable fish out of this. On the other hand, you can go fishing along the coastline to find more of these special circles. I guess they are more then 8-10.
Iam currently not at home to try this, but I think, that would be the best route.

Its a casual game you will eventually get there once open beta starts.. not forgetting the close beta was started with intention to test the server capacities and bugs..if you are following closely following there were major problems where people completely lost their houses and other progress and they r not able to play until they fix it..closed beta came with a risk..so technically its not shitty its quite sad to lose days of efforts for betterment of a game to work well when it available for everyone.

Also, is there a reason you just don't follow the deer you shot once? They don't "get away" they just run a little distance and you can shoot them again. I can't quite "one shot" deer yet so I have to track them down a little bit but they stop after running for a few seconds usually.

According bug hunting: in my e experience the beach is very lucrative. There are craps, especially the blue ones, snails, oyster (which have a chance to have a pearl in it) which you all can sell for a good amount of money.
