- As you can see by my house / home tour in the start, I'm obsessed with housing in Palia. I've built 8 rooms and I have a furniture crafting at level 12. These are some essential tips and tricks that I found along the way that helped me design my dream home in Palia!

Thankyou! I’d love to see a video slowly showing the size of each addition with no furniture in it (or maybe something in it for scale) :) I have enough gold to get an extra room but I’m not sure what size 🤔
I understand we get to keep it and move it around but it’s a lot of gold early game 😆
Oooh that's a good idea, I can totally do that.
If you want to save up money, you could go for a middle room or a large room and divide the space in the beginning. Large room has the same size like the main house, which you get after building it the first time. I think floors are not really necessary unless you really want it.
It took me 2-3 days 10-15 hours to buy a large room. After one week I have now 2 large and one middle room. 5 lvls more and I'm lvl 50, so I have to get enough money to buy the gazebo.
Housing and furniture crafting is usually the latest thing to do since, they will require lots of gold, items and time to get. At the same time you also need to focus on the other jobs to get those materials. But I just love to decorate, which is why I focused on furniture crafting the house at the same time.
Exactly. I really need to see the rooms and what they look like. So far this is one of the few that shows the rooms without the over clutter

Thanks, I wanted more rugs but weren't sure how to obtain more. Good tip turning off snap to grid, really annoying when I want add stuff. The home decorating aspect of game is one of many things I enjoy.

Oh no! I'm 😭over here, hallways count as room!? I also love building my house, but am still *very* new, and haven't made any additions. I was planning to make a huge house using hallways galore! 😭😭😭
they do sadly :( I was hoping they wouldn't either so we could make extended hallways like you said!
@@AndrewArcade I had this idea I was so excited about to build hallways all the way around a central courtyard. Frantically scrapping blueprints now and starting over again at the drawing board.

As someone who is always searching for a good building/housing game, I'm finding Palia quite limited. It does have a lot of housing decorations which is great, but the housing itself is pretty limited. Until/unless the devs expand on housing, it will require creative solutions. I wanted to build a separate shop for foundry and lumber sawing, also a garden building/shed. Do you have any suggestions for these?
Totally understand your criticisms, I mainly played a lot of Sims growing up so I'm pretty spoiled when it comes to customizing houses. This is for sure more on par with Dreamlight Valley / Animal Crossing decorating.
I'm struggling with that too of making separate areas outside, my best recommendation for now could be building more tents. We for sure need more exterior objects and other fences to select from!

There are a lot of good features to housing in Palia. Changing furniture appearance and window/doorway styles is innovative and great. Overall an A for decorating options.
I'm surprised we only get one plot style which kind of feels like being down in a hole and adds to the feeling of separation away from the rest of the game. Rift, also instanced housing, gave us about ten different styles with waterfalls, lakes, great views in small to extremely large sizes available. We could also visit other player's housing who checked the box allowing it. This made for a fun time just exploring and getting ideas from other players. I was also disappointed that we can't actually build to the waters edge to build a fishing dock. Perhaps in a year or two they will get these kinds of things into the game.

Great video. The only thing is that you can access Zeki’s black market anytime by just going through the sewer entrance without his key. Not sure if someone commented this yet or not!

Do you know if there is a option to buy secondary entrance but join it to your first one? I wanna have nice ceiling in main long hall and i dont know if that is possible :D and the kits for recoloring your furniture is avaible only to buy in shop where is Tish or Can I somehow make it aswel? On my house I'm doing each room as it's own set. So I currently have a Log Cabin room, a Homestead room, and a Ranch House room. Each room has EVERY piece of furniture from its set! Next is Kimila Inn room! Add me if you want to come visit!

There's like 20-25 furniture sets (including the upcoming ones that'll get released at some) point so hopefully you'll be able to include them all !

a tip on the other plots you can have you can acutally put chest there also so you can have the 8 chest cap on both plots and have insane storage i got mine to almost 8k :) i think the storage cap is 10K i heard

I have a question to the slot system and storage system. As far as I understand you can have 8 Wooden Storage Bin in your house (that you can upgrade later into copper and iron bins, the recipes are extremely expensive). So.. if you have to buy a new house for the new slot, does that mean I can also have 8 NEW storage bins in the new slot and thus much more storage room? I'm running out of storage and can't afford the copper upgrade yet...
Also: would you consider making a guide how to level furniture making the best way?
Yeah so right now if you add more chests to other plots it does increase your storage. *But* I saw a community mod on the Discord say that it's not intended so I'm personally not risking it even though I'm also struggling with the item limit haha.
Yep, you were right, they just patched it this night. I really don't understand why a supposed cosy game restricts how much stuff we can hoard. I mean, we don't even have the possibility to trade, so what's the matter?
Awesome video, thank you. I am having trouble moving a room. It tells me there is something in the way.. and I swear, there is nothing there! I can move it to the other side of the harvest house, but I can not connect it to another room. What am I doing wrong?
Hmm how odd, yeah you're meant to be able to move rooms with furniture inside. I know sometimes certain rooms can't go next to each other without a hallway, maybe that could be it? Or it could totally be a bug too it's hard to say. But it should be possible!
Does anyone know if it's possible to put two Harvest Houses on the same plot, so you can have two doors in and out of the house?

If you make any gold star quality food you can display it! Same for gold quality bugs and fish you catch.
Great guide, I have one question; can we remove a room once it's built?
Yes! When you press "H" to see a top-down view of your house you can select a room and hit the delete key to return it back to your inventory on the left side to place back down on that plot or another plot save.

On PC I think it's the Z button! When you go into edit mode it should tell you somewhere on the screen what button to press to toggle the grid on and off in case you're playing on Switch :)

I wish we could sell our unwanted crafted furniture at Zeki's market. I have been crafting everything to level up my furniture making skill, but then it is all stuck in storage. We should be allowed to make a revenue stream of this skill set. We can turn a profit from all the other skills, but not furniture making. It needs to be fixed.

So.. how many hours do you play each day? Lol that's a LOT of grinding and farming good lord...
So I got a bit of a head start because I'm a Palia Partner! So I was able to play a few days before Closed Beta. On top of that early on I really loved hunting and did mainly that and made a ton of cash because I realized it was making a ton of cash. So much so that the devs nerfed hunting lol 😅 so I just got a bit lucky in the start with that.
