Tips im recommending to any new Beta players, from a fellow Pre-Alpha tester:
-Try placing farm seeds in a pattern on your crop plot, some crops have certain affects on neighboring crops that could yield you a bigger, better quality harvest. The max amount of crop plots you can have on your plot is 9. (i have a quick image guide for this but i cant really post it here)
-Never. Run. Out. Of. Food & Focus. Keep making food such as roasted mushrooms or fish until you've got yourself a nice simple kitchen, you want that xp bonus going all the time.
-While hunting is a rather decent method of making money, it has been since nerfed, catching bugs and fishing is also a very good money maker, i personally fish in ponds for 50-75 g fish.
-Save your money for backpack upgrades first and foremost, you're gonna be running back and forth alot otherwise. The backpack upgrades are in this order are from start to last, 500, 5k, and 50k gold. You can hold off the 50k backpack until you're ready to buy it, its gonna take a while.
-You can hear a clear sparkling sound effect on bugs, they also kinda sparkle a bit, this means they are of star quality value, its hard to notice at first, but you'll get used to it over time. They are also slightly harder to catch and fire off mini fireworks when you do manage to catch them.
-Alot of people got lost on this quest but im not gonna spoil anything, so all im gonna say here is "Behind Rememberance Garden".
-Some recipes for food are scattered all around palia, if you find one peice, the other one is close nearby in the same area.
-Share and Care! If you find something such as a magical creature or a rare resource, ask for help or if people wanna come right away! Don't be shy, there's help all around! And could use those resources just as much as you do! (some of them take ages to respawn)
-You can also use renown to increase the size of your house plot at Kenyatta's using Writs, but only if you have renown to spare (or running out of space)! It gets harder to gain some later in the game as it takes ages to farm them, they also gain a slight increase in price the more you buy.
-Be VERY careful in the character creator, the devs won't delete your character if you somehow mess up. (i think they are working on something right now about it)
So if you want a very clear explanation: Your "Full name" will be displayed above you for friends and other people to see and "Nickname" will be for villagers to address you.
-Pay attention to NPC dialog, they will give you a hint on how to progress on their quest. Either by breaking rocks or exploring their home for a lost item.

I would like to mention the worm farm. For the worm farm you get more worms with cooked meals then you do with raw. Grilled meat will get you 5 worms an hour, Vegetable soup 7 worms an hour, and from what I have heard Sushi will get your 46 worms every hour. So just something to keep in the back of your mind while you are loading up your worm farm!

@@metadream At some point as you level up fishing, you will be able to buy the recipe from Einar to make a worm food. Once built and placed, you put in food and get back both worms and fertilizer, well worth doing.

I finally got access to the game today and played it for 8 hrs straight. One thing to mention is that I don’t think you need to be in a party to get those bonuses. I was fishing next to random people and I noticed a fishing bonus as I was there.

1) At the city hall you can buy an item with Renown to unlock extra plots of land, but the more you buy, the more it costs.
2) You can put a limited amount of resource-refiner machines in your porperty. But you can increase this limit at the city hall with gold
3) You can buy more farm ground from the Farmer guy, the more you buy, the higher the cost
4) Once you've reached a certain level of farming, you can buy a machine that turns crops into seeds. This is expecially good because you can turn High Quality crops into High Quality Seeds, then you can just stop buying seeds and always plant high quality seeds for guaranteed high quality crops
5) Always sow different type of seeds next to each other. Each crop grants a bonus to nearby crops, but not if they are the same type
6) If you don't repair a tool before it breaks, it's lost forever and you must craft it again, so be careful and always remember to repair them
7) Some High-Quality items can be placed in your property as decorations. So far I've found you can do it with Dishes, Insects (or anything catched, like crabs) and Fishes
8) Everytime you craft a furniture for the first time, you can pick a new one from the same set to discover for free. This means that if you buy just one recipe from a new set from Tish, you can start unlocking every recipe from that set. It also means you need to only buy one item per set from her
9) Be careful when cooking, you can start cooking even if you have the ingredients missing, as long as you have the starting ingredients. This is because another player can use their own ingredients to continue the recipe
10) At a certain point you are going to recieve the blueprint to build a Windmill, this structure is like your house, it takes a lot of recources and 8 hours to build, but it's purely decorative, it's not (currently) used to produce anything, it's also suepr noisy. You can build it if you want, just don't hurry to build it thinking it's used for something

You don’t need your own repair station to repair your tools!! If you have the resources you can do it at the blacksmith shop, at the anvil in the center. At least until you build your own repair station 🥰
Also the treasure chests are totally useless and I just throw them away 😂

You can repair using the anvil at Sifuu's shop (next to tavern) using coin or repair kits. There is also an anvil at the central stop in Bahiri Bay but you can only use repair kits, no coin.

It's just a small thing, but since I love bug catching it made my life so much easier:
When you throw a smoke bomb at a bug, keep the next one ready by pressing the left mouse button and holding it down. That way you can react much faster when the bug gets away. If you don't need a second bomb since you already caught it with the first one, just cancel the action using the right mouse button.

Yesterday I noticed it looked like selling to the general store gave less money than the box. I.e. my potatoe stack was 1000g at my farm and only 800g at the general store.
Also, you will get recipes for the furniture don’t waste your money like me and buy those pieces for thousands!
On the same note, you can get a loom from Tish if you level your furniture making and make fabric, leather, and silk - don’t be me and waste your money buying them every time you need it for a quest!

Just a heads up. When you are showing the Repair Kit, it is not actually selected and the ingredients shown on the screen are for Log Cabin Planter, not for Repair Kit 20x.
To craft the Repair Kits you need: 5x Sapwood Planks + 1x Copper Ingot

Pressing H in your farm then changing from default slot to new slot allows you place 8 more chest in the new slot while still have access to the extra storage in your default slot. I'm rocking 6400 total chest storage ( 8 chest max in each slot)
ps. new slot (2nd slot) is free but the third one cost 50k which imho not worth buying if you just want to increase your storage space. something to have maybe way later in the game for having like different house design/decoration in each slot.

Renown: not sure if anyone mentioned this but this stacks to 1000. You can increase both xp level/food level multiple times (not just once a day). Also you can use Renown points to purchase additional lot spaces around your home (25 renown per writ) or you can use Renown points to increase the number of crafting stations you have displayed (500 renown per crafting writ).

Only correction to this that I know of is that writs for plots start at, I think, 15 renown, but most importantly, increase as you buy more.

Amen! I didn't know about the storage upgrade. Lord knows that I'm basically out of space even with the first bag upgrade because I have a hard time letting stuff go because it's almost always requested, so knowing that I can upgrade those boxes is now a new goal. 6k gold here I come! Also, thanks for the auto-run info. It took me a while to figure out how folks were running around like they were until I accidently hit the shift key for whatever reason. It's taking everything in me to not log into the game right now, but it's 2:30am and I got an appointment in about 8 hours, lol.

Here's a little known secret. You can double the 3,200 max storage in your storage boxes. You can have two housing plots simultaneously. If you hit "H" to bring up your overhead plot screen, you will see a dropdown at the top, It says "default slot. If you use the dropdown you will see "new slot" or something similar. If you choose that, you will get a whole new blank housing area. You can place up to 8 more storage boxes and 3 more lock boxes which will give you a grand total of 22 boxes or 6,400 normal storage slots and 600 locked slots. You cannot place new farm plots or crafting items however. You can add crafting items IF you buy more crafting licenses. I don't know what the max is. I think you can actually make more with gold. At least there is a new plot choice that costs 50,000 gold. I guess someone above said the same thing. But hey maybe you missed it like I did. lol

I've noticed that Focus doesn't seam to actually do anything. I've been messing around with having focus and having zero focus with 52.5% bonus and I cannot see any difference at all in exp gains.
I could be wrong, but hunting and mining with zero focus is still crazy fast.
