Money saving trick: Only buy one recipe of a new furniture set from Tish. You get a random recipe of another piece from within the same set each time you make a new piece until you have them all.
Tish's register has the upgraded storage boxes including the locked storage that lets you isolate a small selection of items from your main storage inventory. Items saved there are also blocked from recipe use. It's also really useful for keeping the storage inventory from getting cluttered with future quest items like the pebbles or unused furniture.

@@nondisclosureablethe lockbox is currently bugged rn. You can’t directly take out things you placed in them. But you can drag the item(s) into the top left icon, which is the general storage, and grab them like usual from the general storage.

I love that you get bonuses for playing together even if you aren’t playing “together”. For example, I was in Bahari Bay hunting for oysters and noticed someone fishing. So when I ran out of oysters I came over an fished for awhile, and the game gave us a bonus for fishing near one another. We fished for about 10 minutes before the other player went along on their way, but it was a cute little wholesome moment that I really enjoyed 🥰

Its probably so we trade and swap stuff with friends.
Everyone gets the 'log cabin' style set for free if they start crafting furniture
(and keep crafting it, past the quest items, chair and table)
But you need to buy the plans to craft the other style sets (or buy them pre made from the furniture shop)
Friends could focus on one set each, if they wanted to.
There may even be some REALLY expensive sets much deeper into crafting, so sharing furniture swaps may become a thing.

I have been playing for quite some time now and this video still taught me new things.
I'm running around alone most of the time, but I really enjoy interacting with other players when it comes to searching for rare materials. There are some flare Trees that can be chopped alone, but even for these small ones, everyone makes sure to write the location in the chat, mark it with a flare and then wait a while for others to arrive.
I only saw a player who didn't wait for others once, and it ended up being a kind of funny story.
Every midnight there is something called a Grove (I think) happening, at which several flare trees spawn somewhere on the second map. All interested players search for it and then once it is found, wait for everyone to arrive.
Unfortunately, there was one player who didn't want to wait and instead tried to chop all the trees down by himself. Since you can not hurt other players, no one could really stop him from chopping down the smaller trees, but once he got to the bigger once, he couldn't chop them alone. He tried several minutes, while we (all the other players that were still waiting) just stood there in a circle around him and stared at him wherever he went.
It made me appreciate the community of Palia and how they help each other even more.

    • @Fawing_Moostier
      @Fawing_Moostier 2 месяца назад

@@Dreamplandoradij I guess it's a unspoken rule of just being nice to the other players and when you find a rare resource like pal ore, or certain flowers and herbs, you tell other people where to find them, and mark them with a flare gun if you have one. For the flow trees, you do the same, but also wait for a while, so other players have time to arrive. I mean, you can´t chop bigger flow trees down by yourself anyway, but still, flow trees disappear for everyone, once they are cut down.

I’m loving Palia! Excited to see what the devs will add to the game in the future. It’s like all the basics are there, I love the graphics, the characters and especially how the home plot and decorating works! There’s so many lovely items and I love decorating. It’s my favorite thing to do in cozy games. The farming is great too with the crop boosts. Also love that we can request items and help each other out. Wish there was a simple way to ask people on your server to help with cutting the magic trees, other than trying to explain in chat.
The world does feel kind of empty still, and I was hoping for a little more of fantasy adventurer type quests etc, not just fetch-quests. I’m slightly disoppointed in the little variety in quests, huting and the world feeling vast and empty. But it’s only a Beta and I’m still having so much fun with the game! So that makes me hopeful it’s a game I will play for a long time 😄 it’s been super fun to watch your Palia streams, keep them coming ❤

The tips about group mining and using the blacksmith to repair with gold are probably the best tips so far because after today with the open beta launch, resources got hard to find because new people (and some not-so-new folks) didn't know about this. I'll admit I didn't know before today, and I've been playing almost a week now, and I was getting upset that people kept trying to steal my nodes. I suggested to the devs that this information should be in tutorials or tips in a letter from an NPC or something. Now I'm rethinking how I play so I can coordinate farming parties. I think a good video would be how to make/manage/participate in Communities, as I can see the benefit will be joining a community and going out resource gathering with your community members.

One thing I would like to see is better sorting or filtering situation with the crafting bench. Im about to get into my fourth type of furniture (industrial) and the furniture alone is a list around 50 items long. maybe a keyword filter or to be more thematic a bunch of manilla folders that have blueprints poking out the side with the name of the type sitting on it, "Logging, Homestead, Ravenwood, Industrial, etc" on them. This way you can just open the folder you want to use instead of having to scroll down forever lol.

It ensures a water retainer and a yield boost, maximizing profits. The Crystal Lake Lotus and the Emerald Carpet Moss are used to craft the Fisherman's Brew which provides a much higher profit margin than simply selling them raw. Would recommend holding on to all of those until you can craft it.
Also tip of my own: Play however you enjoy, but it may be more beneficial to get your skills to level 10 before trying to level one path like crazy. At level 10 you unlock the ability to complete weekly quests which reward a unique currency which allows you to purchase some of the harder to get resources as well as some unique rewards that can only be bought with that currency. You can (as far as I know) only complete 3 quests a (real life) week (reset is Sunday) and some of the items have a high price tag, so starting early to unlock the ability to do those weekly quests will save you in the long run when you actually want to start on the other skills!

its best to NOT spend your renoun on focus at the shrines.
You get one free dragon shrine and one free phoenix shrine boost, which is usually enough for most players.
At least, this is true if leveling up your characters skill up FAST is NOT your main goal.
The more plots you buy for your home, the more rits you will need. At first, its just one or two. But soon, you need more and more per square.
So, if building your home and garden is your main want, stick with the first free focus boosts from the dragon and phoenix statues.
If leveling your characters skills is your main fun, yeah go grab the extra boosts from the statues.
    About furniture.
If you want to collect it, and want to craft it...
Furniture does not take up space in your stash box. You can dump as much as you want into the stash.
Also, if you are a crafter, just grab one small furniture plan for each style/type.
The first time you craft each piece of furniture you will be offered a choice from up to 3 other pieces of the same set.
I grabbed chairs for 'homestead' style from the furniture trainer, and have used that to start me off learning the 'homestead' style furniture.

Furniture not taking up space in your stash doesn't help. It's STILL there, meaning you need to scroll past it all to find what you're looking for. We need a way to sell it, even if it's for low amounts... or, better, to 're-harvest' a portion of materials spent creating it while destroying it.

    • @silverbane8065
      @silverbane8065 Год назад

@@the-dave-house-project I'd rather sell it to the furniture shop for a couple of coins tbh, but that would mean the game economy would switch from catching bugs to crafting furniture.
Could avoid this by trading our furniture with the shop for 'trading tokens' that could be used to get stuff from the store, and which can't be traded with other players I guess.
Personally, what I'd like are set type tabs in the crafting menu.
I can filter in my stash, and while I can filter to just furniture in the crafting bench menu, I cannot filter set type.
When I get more than 3 items in a set (rustic, cabin, homestead ect) it should change from just listing them en mass to the style set name, so it has a sub menu (my personal preference)
Maybe they could add a special lockbox *just* for furniture, so if you place it down and add furniture via that chest, it won't show in your standard inventory stash?

Ive played for 72 hours total and it is VERY addicting! I make a lot of money hunting Sernuks and selling their pelts, horns, and cooked meat.
I’m hoping they make expansions and stay in business. It’s always sad to see your favorite games shut down after a few years. They need to make furniture sellable or maybe tradable so people feel like all of the effort they did to make furniture can be rewarded.

The fact that this is a “tips and tricks” video means you must like the game enough to play it more than once, so I decided to download it. Maybe it will fill the cozy-MMO-sized hole left in my heart by the death of fer.al.

Great video! Lots of very solid advice and explanations.
To add onto your great tips about grilling fish before selling, it's worth mentioning that cooking with non star quality ingredients has a chance to become a star quality food. What you mentioned already were good enough reasons to always turn basic fish into grilled fish before selling since it gives you cooking EXP and sells for the same amount, but if anyone happens to need more incentive for doing so then there's this added bonus to taking that extra step to grill before selling.

I haven’t tested this out to know with 100% accuracy but if you put a gold star crop into the seed maker you get a gold star seed packet (this is 100% for me). If you then plant that gold star seed packet then you get a gold star crop (this is the part I’m not 100% sure on, you at least get a lot more than when relying on the crops with the quality up perk). This is a great money maker when combined with the harvest amount up crops

I do actually still use the makeshift arrows, because I'm lazy. One of the weekly quests is to hunt X critters with others. So I go out and hit all the deer with a makeshift arrow, so it doesn't die in one shot. Then I just wait for others to come through and finish them off. Ta da, hunted with others.

Plus when you make food with fish or meat or anything, it has a chance to proc one star, even with non-starred ingredients, which sells for more than the total value of raw non-starred ingredients used.

Tbh when I first saw the circle ring bar getting worn down by at least a half, I genuinely thought I would have to worry about my tool breaking and having to make a brand new tool for it, so I was constantly repairing my tools because of it. While I’ll still repair my tools since I don’t want them to downgrade, I’d say that downgrading was a bit better than what I’d thought would happen if you worn out your tool completely. 😅
