1:01 - you need the 'nothing', for the 'something', to mean 'anything'. priceless quote from grandmaster Victor wooten🙌
Victor Wooten is always sharing knowledge to people that want to learn and are willing to listen.
the way he speaks and the gentle way he acts look just like a NPC giving you an advice to fight the boss in adventure video games
Can't believe that you filmed me talking to Victor Wooten 😃 thanks for that! Now I have proof 😅
What book were you talking to Victor Wooten about?
Daniel Yamasaki his book: the music lesson 😃
@@AndreasOxholm I believe the chapter he mentioned had the phrase "Play the rest". I learned about this shortly before reading his book when I was playing in a West African world fusion band. The bassline for one of their songs had an ostinato with a rest in it that was nearly an entire measure long!
Vic is THE best bass philosopher on the planet. I LOVE when he speaks. WISDOM. He can give a better bass lesson than some other teachers just by talking about bass playing.
Wootenism is expanding !!!
Deep spiritual concept as well. God created everything out of nothing by speaking the world into existence, then everything was.
great-looking bass
What a great meaningfull teacher.
It’s the Space 😃
That bass sounds good and it looks good on him
Bought one after I saw this video - great sounding and feeling bass!
the greatest bass player of all time in my opinion
A little weird to see Victor not playing a Fodera (:
Coooool
Now I’m really sold on the Michael Kelly bass. I was just looking at that bass just by chance because I didn’t like the feel or sound of the basses that the music store had available. I’m thankful for that as well otherwise I might have overlooked this gem. I will be picking this monster up next week. It played, felt and sounded amazing especially at the price point they were selling the bass for. Get this bass now before it becomes too popular because once the cats out of the bag every one will want this bass.
I happened onto this bass used at GC and after getting stuck on it for over an hour I had to put money down on it. I'm typically not a fan of passive basses but it feels great, sounds great and looks great! I play it more than my G&Ls now!
Listen to the teacher teach
What’s he playing? Doesn’t look like a fodera maybe it’s closer to my price range?
It's a Michael Kelly Element 4 Vintage. It's about $500
Is he referring to a specific book? What is isis?
0:48 who know what is song Victor played?????
I think it looks like this, but I'm not sure. ruclips.net/video/PVwZAdGd2go/видео.html
Ramon Heriberto Guzman Gonzalez thanks! I think it’s funk riff , maybe Kool & the gang or Chic! Or EWF! Who know?)
It was Brickhouse by the Commodores.
daniel patrick thanks man!
Bass math....
Why is he playing that crappy bass?
Well one it's not crappy.
Two he's one of the best guys on the planet and he can probably make anything sound good which is better than you ever will.
And three he's trying to teach a lesson.
You got anything else there Murphy
